rineshepard:
“Stop being such a god damn smart ass!” Rine rounds on him, her biotics flickering like a teen first learning to use them. “You know damn well what I’m talking about. I’m in no mood for games.” She hisses threw gritted teeth, furious she had to be looking for the information in the first place of the person who dare threaten her with the information on her life.
She turns her back on Feron and allows the blast of biotics to lift a table and throw it weakly against the far wall. She swears in a low growl, a hint of an accent heard echoing through her own translator. She runs her hands through her hair roughly before throwing her hands down angrily and turning sharply to storm past the drell.
“Forget it. I’m going to track down your whore and get her to talk.” She growls the accent still lacing her voice as her expression becomes darker and sinister.
He shook his head in frustration at her irrational anger. He had no way to find the information she sought if he didn’t know what she was looking for. “That was never my intention, at least not in this,” he am amended. “And no, Rine, I do not. Liara and I exchange a lot of information on a daily basis.”
He slowly clapped his hands after she threw the table. “Real mature, Rine.” Then he frowned. “I should charge you for that,” he grumbled. It had been one of the few items left standing in the bedroom.
He grinned at her parting shot. He couldn’t help it. No matter how pissed she was, it was funny. “That is a fine idea, Rine. Everyone needs to waste their time once in awhile. I, by the way, paid her nothing. Just clearing the facts. She couldn’t find anything useful, why do you think she ransacked my room so thoroughly? Her temper was much like yours.” He sighed heavily. “But since you are so insistent on denying me the information I need to help you, then there is only one way to find out what the hell is going on.”
He flipped on his OT and commed Liara. “Liara, Shepard is here and she is not very forthcoming on what she requires of me. She just said ‘information that you gave me’. That doesn’t exactly narrow things down. Care to enlighten me?”
“Feron, I’m sorry, I was distracted. I found out -” she cleared her throat and waved her hand. “I’ll be more clear next time. The information she is referring to was encrypted on a chip. It was in that packet you retrieved three days ago.”
Well, fuck me. He grinned. “Thank you, Liara. I’ll comm you tonight, there’s something I need to discuss with you. Feron out.” He disconnected and the holo winked out. “Now that I know what you are seeking,” he mumbled as he slipped through the stored files. There. He sent the file to Rine’s OT. He set the file to auto-delete from his OT when it was opened on her end and then flipped his OT off. Let her make of it what she will, he was in need of something to drink.
