♛ ┃LAZULISS.

     ❛❛ When you love someone, you don’t just choose what parts of them to accept. It’s all or nothing. I’m sure Snow would have done the same. When she was branded a L’Cie, I’m sure he already prepared for the chance of her potentially becoming a monster. I don’t doubt for a second that he would stop loving her. So, why would she do the same? Why would she abandon him? Serah’s not a hypocrite. Of course, it would be the most painful thing to watch, but she wouldn’t dare leave him to suffer alone. If she really was given the choice to choose between Snow or I, I would have told her to go to Snow. It was the right choice. ❜❜

     IT’S AS IF THE INTERROGATION is intended to expose some vulnerability, catch him off guard. But he stays his ground.

     ❛❛ If you’re looking to break me, you’re going to have to try a lot harder than that. We’ve all hit rock bottom, we’re already prepared for things to get worse.  ❜❜

         ❛❛ I’m not trying to break you. It seems like you’ve already done a good job at breaking yourself. Maybe i’m just trying to add extra damage. ❜❜

         At this point, she slightly ponders, what or who was she even arguing for? It was honestly just fun to keep going. She could’ve stopped words and words ago. 

        ❛❛ What i’m trying to do is open YOUR thick head to other possibilities. Serah died with no regrets, that’s true, but she still has ties to this world. She has ties to the savior and what exactly do you think that means to Bhunivelze? Think about it. He must have done something with her soul. It has to be somewhere. So why not here right in front of you? It’s possible that souls can haunt this world if they’re not ready to be done. But what if they’re not allowed to be done. What if this is god’s way of letting Serah suffer just like the rest of you? Of course she would be allowed to see her friend’s spirits crumble right in front of her. And she won’t be able to do a thing about it. So MAYBE, it’s a far-fetched idea, but I know things that you don’t, and that’s why I’m still living the way I want to, instead of wallowing in pity like the rest of you. ❜❜

     ❛❛ I highly doubt Serah would be omnipresent. ❜❜

     NOT A FLINCH in retaliation; merely a piercing, threatening gaze in return.

     ❛❛ I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt — let’s say you are right, and her soul is wandering aimlessly in this sea of chaos. What makes you think she’d choose to see me over her beloved? I imagine a soul has limited capabilities, right? Wouldn’t it make sense for her to try and reach out to the man she trusts the most in this world? Lightning’s a pawn of God, Hope is gone, but Snow never doubted her. Ever. I couldn’t protect her then, so what would make her believe I can now? I’m exhausted, beaten down, and aloof. Snow’s a knucklehead, but at least he’s reliable. ❜❜

         ❛❛ And all this time I thought she was so much stronger than that. ❜❜

         Simply, she sighs. Arms to her hips as she rolled her eyes.

         ❛❛ That’s all I hear, y’know? How fearless she was, how selfless she was. A fighter, right? I’m sure you would know that better than anyone else. Her soul is different from the thousands of others! Do you really think she’d let limits stop her? Even without a body. She’s done it before, right? At least, that’s what the Children of Chaos told me. But maybe they’re wrong! Maybe you’re right, and she decided to be selfless for once. But why would she choose to watch the one she loved the most turn into a monster?  But, I guess watching you plan to kill her sister is pret-ty awful too.. Poor thing. ❜❜

     ❛❛ Why do you think I’d have difficulty explaining my motives to Serah? I’d tell her the truth. I never said I wouldn’t take responsibility. One thing that hasn’t changed is my honesty. As for her soul still being around? ❜❜

         ❛❛ I have a QUESTION! You should know the answer to this one! Where exactly do you think souls go in a world without a Goddess to guide them? Do they get swallowed up by the chaos? Or are they still around? Do you really think Serah would allow her soul to get sucked into something like that? You were her best friend, weren’t you? You should be able to realize her presence. ❜❜

         A little grin appears on her lips, and a step closer is given.
