Folios: Big, flat pieces of cheese you can wrap stuff in. No more, no less.
I tried the parmesan. They are good, and convenient, but the $2.25 per sheet price is kind of steep for me. I wouldn't say that I would never buy them again but I will keep an eye out for some kind of sale.
CarbRite Diet Mint Cookie: Chewy filling, chocolate coating. Mint flavored but bland.
CarbRite Diet Chocolate Caramel Nut: I guess it's a caramel flavored center with a chocolate coating but...where are the nuts?
CarbRite Diet Toasted Coconut: I thought the coconut could save it. NOPE. Unpleasant, bland filling mixed with coconut and a chocolate coating.
Basically, I found these terrible and am glad I at least got them on sale. From the general taste to the sweetness level to the texture, nothing was pleasing to my mouth. Couldn't finish them.
Tried the No Sugar Keto Krax coconut and almond flavor and YEP. Goes HARD on the erythritol! Heavy on that mouth-cooling effect, too.
I honestly don't know what I am going to do with it. Chop it up to bake with?
Strangely, the sea salt and almond is okay. Obviously sweetened with erythritol but a lot more mellow.

This wasn't even a mint or gum where a serving is one piece and that's pretty much all anyone wants.
Unbun buns are weird, spongy and expensive.
I guess I probably should have checked the ingredients because the second one is liquid egg white. I still have limited mobility, though, so I was just excited that I wouldn't have to cook it myself.
If you (like me) buy it and discover that you're not really feeling it, then it's one of those things you can save by toasting. I cut the buns into rounds and dried them out in the oven. The amount of air in them makes them quite good as melba toast.
Farm Girl Pancake Mix Try #1: Accidentally used the whipping cream that I had in my fridge instead of the 10% they ask for. The batter was ridiculously thick and so I thinned it out with water. The pancakes were coming gooey inside so I cooked them for longer. Crispy vanilla biscuits.
Farm Girl Pancake Mix Try #2: I will have to find a use for the rest of the 10% cream I bought to give it its best chance. Batter still came out incredibly thick. Cooked in the oven instead and it made soft biscuits.
The flavour is fine, it isn't gross or anything. But I was looking at the reviews and I guess I'm not the only one who's had trouble with it coming out thick and then not cooking through. Glad I got it free and I wouldn't order it
That Hold The Carbs crust mix may have stuck horribly but the Farm Girl ones certainly don't have that issue.
Actually, I'm in the process of making mini pizzas for the freezer, had to pull the pre-baked ones out of the oven, and one of them ended up going off the pan and skittering across the kitchen floor.
The other one will be okay but it was disappointing to lose one. :(
Three 85%+ Chocolates from the grocery store.
Camino Intensely Dark 88%: Has a fruitiness to it. I like it best of the three but it's also the most expensive. I might pick up another one at some point if I see it on sale but I don't foresee paying full price.
PC Extra Dark 85%: Tastes cheap. Flavor improves if I chew it instead of letting it melt but I don't like it and foresee using it in baking to use it up.
PC Organic Extra Dark 85%: The ingredients don't list cinnamon but I feel like I can taste some. But not in a way that I find it pleasant. I am plotting to foist it off on someone.
Does it honestly matter if a single meal is balanced, as you as you make up for it in the day?
I saw a review pointing out that Magic Spoon cereal isn't a balanced keto meal because it isn't high enough fat, so you need to eat something fatty with it.
But, if you have enough fat with lunch and dinner to meet your macros, isn't that fine? It's not like anyone could afford to live off Magic Spoon anyway, lol.

The pizza crust, rye bread and freebie pancake mix will have to wait. I'm 1 part small child, 1 part raccoon, though, so I tried some of each cereal.
So far, without milk: Chocolate is best, Salted Caramel next, Cinnamon Maple is....okay. The Apple Spice granola clusters are less sweet (I assume they aren't meant for milk) and have more of a pumpkin seed taste. I might change my mind but I think only those two will get reordered if I go again.
Turns out they also do a chocolate hazelnut cereal I didn't actually notice. They had a different pizza crust that was sold out and is not no longer listed, so scratch that one off. There's a noodle mix that might be good, a pastry mix I should avoid, various other hot and cold cereals that make me wish that they had sample packs with small amounts.
Unless they have some kind of sale at the time that I order something, I can't imagine trying the cake and loaf mixes because I'm doing pretty well on my own with locally bought ingredients.
(Gotta close these bags tight so they are still good in 29 days. 😅)
Farm Girl Bread Mix. Another "shopping while hungry" purchase but this time I actually liked the product.
The texture of a finished loaf is similar to a heavier regular bread. I have tried a lot of different keto bread recipes and never come close to this kind of texture.
Didn't experiment with toasting because I ended up eating the loaf as-is. I like toast, but it also tends to be a last-ditch effort to try and make palatable a recipe that I don't like the texture of normally. This didn't need it.
The smell isn't exactly like regular bread. There is a whiff of something different, I almost want to say that there's a Play-doh undertone. I feel almost bad saying it that way because I didn't find it off-putting enough to not eat it and, once you put something on it you really don't notice. (I have made homemade protein bread that had a similar thing going)
The website does free Canadian shipping over $50 and they have a couple other promotions running right now. The products are still kind of pricey, being specialty low carb items, and I can't imagine having them on the regular, only as a "sometimes treat".
I actually have some surgery coming up and I'm going to want to have some things on hand that I don't need to worry about cooking. I splurged on getting a number of the cereals to try, and I'm going to find out just how well this bread freezes.
Never buying the Hold the Carbs pizza mix again. I think I probably only bought it in the first place because I was shopping when hungry.
1. Expensive. $7 CAD regular price at the store I bought it at.
2. Not much in bag. This is thin crust, after all, but "1 pizza worth" ends up being very little actual product.
3. I liberally sprayed my pan with olive oil and it still stuck. Thin crust made with a liquidy batter...I think maybe it ended up absorbing the oil instead or something. So, instead of having a lovely slice of pizza on a plate, I ate a pizza topping slop with pieces of crust that I pulled off pan with my hands.
I wonder if using butter would have averted this?
4. You could make this yourself extremely easily. According to the bag, it's almond flour, (powdered) cheese, then herbs and spices. I know I have all of that in my kitchen right now. Given the results, having those three things pre-measured for me didn't save me enough grief to justify buying this again.
Look, I don't make the rules but you're legally required to watch this.

I actually made one of these once. Made me wish that I had used the low sodium version or something. Even with the sugar, I still found the condensed soup made it too salty.

The New Love Good Fats Bars
Chewy-Nutty Chocolatey Almond: Like an Eat More but with almonds and walnuts. Probably my favorite, though I should try keeping the next box in the fridge to see if it helps stickiness.
Chewy-Nutty Coconut. Macademia: More granola bar-like. The cinnamon makes me expect apple, though there is none. I dug it, but I have made similar things at home.
Cookies and Cream: Reminds me of the plant-based Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough bars but with a white coating. Soft center with crunchy bits. It was okay.
Lemon Mousse: Pleasant, lemony, but I am kind of surprised there doesn't seem to coconut flour in it. I guess the original flavors give me a "fat mixed with fiber powder" vibe and this gives me more of a "powder mixed with a fat" one.

No, this isn't an ad and I don't have any right now. But...I really like them. They are 7g of carb per bag so I can actually have them and the texture is better than the sugar free Jello gummies I have made.
They are expensive but the grocery store has sales sometimes.

It starts out good but then there's this...weird taste? 5g of carbs isn't bad but...that taste.
