“Yeah, yeah, vacation…” She held herself back for as long as she could which was a total of fifteen seconds. “I just need to check that the cot is right.” She disappeared off to Roman’s room and starting moving the cot slightly to make sure it wasn’t wobbly.
“Okay...” Levi said, his eyebrow still quirked as he followed Skye into the room where Roman would be sleeping. She seemed twitchy, nervous. Which was kind of making him also feel like he was about to get twitchy and nervous.

When the familiar gentleman walked in he tapped his cigarette inquisitively on the ashtray near to him as he looked him up and down, both for his own pleasure and to inform his next comment. “So were you just kidding when you said you weren’t a cop anymore, or did they rake you back in?” There was more to question as to why he came to a dive like he was in, dressed like that. @fertilelevi
Levi let out a chuckle, only to explain to the kid, “Wasn’t lying, but they raked me back in. Needed some eye candy on the force. No one wanted to look at them, otherwise,” he threw in a nonchalant shrug, only to add, “Not gonna arrest ya, though, kid, don’t worry bout it.” Carson reminded Levi too much of himself to do that.
At first, he didn’t say anything to that at first. Dealing with emotions was still a fairly new concept that only very few people got to see in him. He was a demon. They were supposed to be burnt out of him in Hell but some people brought them back out. “Yeah.” Was his short reply. He didn’t know what to say really and apologizing was still hard for him too. Letting him down shouldn’t matter, should it? He itched his nose. Truth be told, at the time, he thought Levi could handle it but then again, if he could, perhaps Levi wouldn’t have messaged him if it wasn’t an emergency. He huffs out a sigh. “So you’re mad at me. Figures” He just stated as it was a matter of fact, pushing himself up from his seat. “I’m sure whatever mess it was, you got it cleared up, huh kid? Don’t you always?” He moved a hand to his shoulder after taking off his glasses to look him dead in the eye. Deep down, he did care. Of course, he did. He saw so much of himself in Levi it’s hard not to give a damn. But distance had made him rusty at being completely emotional. “Been keeping an eye on ya. You’ve been busy. Running for Sheriff? Got a kid I didn’t know about. Proud you, you know?” And that’s genuine. That was easier than an apology and he still meant it. “You’ve been doing good without me.” Inferring that all the support Jas had given him, he didn’t need anymore. He was his own guy and that’s all Jas could have wished for him. That and all the success he deserves. “Real good.”
He definitely felt kind of weird. He kind of expected Jasper to want something from him. Like Levi needed to pay up, or something. He wasn’t used to men giving him things. Usually, there was always a price. With women, it was easier. They expected less. Or more like, demanded less. “Coulda texted back at least a one liner with your old dusty fingers,” Levi retorted. What if Levi was really in danger? He shouldn’t have tried to get help, anyway. He didn’t trust anyone. “It’s fine,” he commented. It ended up being fine, because Levi managed to always be fine. “Mmm, so you been stalking me, old guy? Figures,” he snorted, only to crack a hint of a smile. Levi, despite being a complete idiot, had a lot to be proud of. And he was a prideful person, too. “You been fucking Lucifer?” he asked, only to be obnoxious, “Heard he has a tiny dick.”
She took his arm with a gentle grip. She tried to work out if she was hurt but all she could see and feel were scrapes and bruises from falling around the trees. “Thank you.” She answered as barely a whisper. “I remember…” The girl tried her hardest to think. “I remember a light. It was really bright and then it was night.” She’d been stumbling through the woods all night.
He tried not to show the frustration on his face, walking her to the cop car as she recounted her experience. It didn’t really help him. It sounded like maybe she went unconscious? Maybe she got hit? He didn’t know, and she didn’t know either, but he also felt like he’d get a worse reputation if he didn’t help. “Well, sounds like ya might have a concussion. Can I call a doctor to meet us at the station just in case?”

It was the first time she’d been out of Mystic Falls since she came here with Roman so naturally, she was freaking out about everything from whether she had packed enough for Roman and herself. Despite the ability to buy nappies while away, she must have checked they had enough at least a million times. “Of course it’s fine.” She smiled to him, looking around with Roman at her hip. “We’ll need to make sure the travel cots set up. He’ll want to have his nap soon. Maybe not… he did sleep in the car so he might not go down but we should do that.” Although she was smiling, it wasn’t hard to tell she was a little skittish.
Levi had a thought in the back of his mind that maybe, she would be stressed about her dad finding her and finding the baby. It had crossed his mind, too, the possibility. Which is why Levi had been careful to put in care to make this as untraceable as possible. Plus, Levi hoped that as far as her dad knew, he was just a friendly coworker. “Yeah, no worries, that should already be done,” Levi remembered telling the people to already put out a crib for Roman. He stood up to get out of the car, moving to get Roman’s car seat to carry him inside. He looked back at Skye, his face softening, “It’s gonna be fine. This is a vacation, alright?”
She was thankful when the car stopped and she backed off a little to the side of the road again. Her body was trembling and her legs were weak. “Where am I?” She asked, looking around herself, trying to find anything she recognised. “I’m scared. I don’t know… who I am.” She looked to the police car. “You can help, can’t you? Cop. You’re supposed to help. That’s right, isn’t it?” The memories of her angelic self and her vessel were merged in a chaotic mess and just certain things were triggering knowledge. A police car meant help and something good.
He cautiously tucked his weapon away, moving towards her, still reluctantly, to give her a helping hand. Levi’s version of that was giving her his arm to hang onto to steady herself. “Yes, ma’am, I’m the Sheriff,” he nodded, putting his semi-polite Sheriff’s cap on. He looked concerned when she said she didn’t know who she was, mainly because now, this might be a drug case. He looked at her dress to look for pockets, but saw none, “Well, if you ain’t hurt, we can take you down to the station n’ try and figure it out. You remember anythin at all’?”
theheavenlydivine
The brunette couldn’t remember a thing. It was like being born. The reality was that she had taken a vessel with many complications that it had corrupted her mind so much that in turn, she forgot everything about herself. No signs of an angel were present. Just a scared human walking through the forest on Bambi-like legs. She was tripping and falling and many marks were found on her body. Cuts. Bruises. As she was approaching the edge of the woods and towards the road coming in to town, she saw a car coming. Her white dress was so out of place that it was hard to miss her for a second. “Help…” She whispered before finally stepping ever so slightly in to the road - enough time for the person to stop or drive around her she hoped for the former. “Please help me…”

Levi was just on his rounds, hunting material in the trunk just in case he saw anyone doing anything suspicious before heading down to the Sheriff’s office. Well, more specifically, anything doing something suspicious. He figured if they were causing enough trouble, Levi could just shoot on sight without anyone questioning it. He was the Sheriff, after all, and if people actually looked at the crime reports, deaths were going down. He was so vain though, that he attributed it to himself. He was on his way back, and thank god he had his coffee that morning, because he slammed his foot onto the brake to prevent crashing into the woman. He looked annoyed for a moment, before getting out, careful to keep a hand on his belt just in case this was something nefarious. “Miss—you really can’t be out here. What’s wrong? Did ya need an ambulance?” he asked, tone flat and uncaring, scrutinizing her carefully. She seemed harmless enough.

Jasper had made himself way too comfortable at Levi’s waiting for him. He let himself in. Truth be told, Jas had longed moved on from Mystic Falls. Demon buisness was booming and he had the biggest clientele of long waiting idiots selling their soul to him for small shitty things. Life had been good and he really loved his high status in Hell despite the constant struggle for leadership. Hell, he didn’t want to be King anymore. Too much responsibility and he was already at the prime of his game. Though he only did care for a good two people in Mystic Falls, he came back. Levi being his first. Practically his kid if he ever had one of his own and not the son of his vessel who he’d now met u with every now and then. The demon sat on the sofa and feet up. Dressed way too formal for a small visit but hey, who’s complaining. “You took your damn time. Daddy’s home, kiddo!” He grinned, eyes hid by his infamous glasses and dramatic use of jazz hands used after. “Sup, bitch? Hope you don’t mind the fact I let myself. Mi casa es su casa and all. Pretty sure I got you this place again, right?” Jasper didn’t have time to miss people and the feeling is weird but he gave a damn about Levi enough to keep an eye on him when he was gone.
@fertilelevi
Levi was starting to feel better. It had been a while since Bellamy had left, and he managed to clear the house of her, so when he went home, he wasn’t really thinking about her. Out of sight, out of mind, as they say. He also was preoccupied at the station, thriving off of his new power, reveling in that instead of his knocked down self-esteem. He made his way home, still in uniform, not expecting to see the familiar demon on his sofa. The demon he texted when he was in trouble with the whole Sofia thing. But he decided to show up, of all times, now. His jaw fell open, hanging there for a second before raising an eyebrow, “I texted you.” His eyebrows scrunched together in a moping fashion. The truth was that he didn’t ask for help, pretty much ever, but when he did and Jasper didn’t show up to bail him out…well, that kind of hurt.
@thesilvadaughter
With Skye supporting him so much through the Bellamy breakup, it only felt natural for Levi to express his gratitude in one of the only ways he knew how—a lavish vacation in Key West, Florida. He didn’t want to take Roman out of the country just yet with him being so young more susceptible to sickness. With the extra money from Molly, he managed to get them a flight without a layover there, and as they pulled up in the Mercedes he rented to the beach house he had booked for the week, he turned to Skye, “I hope this is okay. I couldn’t get anything better on impulse n’ short notice.”
He doesn’t exactly know what the specifics of Levi’s situation were but something about his mood was ragingly familiar considering what had happened to Chess not too long ago. He was happy after what seemed like ages with Tristan and now he was just gone. Like every other relationship, he’d had in town. Even most of his friendships now too. He doesn’t feel like leaving but wouldn’t know much to stick around for either. Just a couple of buddies. He just knows, that in before in his situation, when he was alone, he didn’t exactly want the solitude even when he asked for it. “Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say, pal.” Levi had grown on him a lot. They’d been pals to enemies and back again. It was strange and yet, that all was probably a test. Chess is deadly loyal to his friends and Levi fell into that now. It’s growth and many people don’t actually grow on Chess. He either likes them from the start or hates them from the start. Not much room for inbetween until now. Truth be told, he would have slept with Levi a long time ago. And it’s only now that he’s considering it again. “Nothing official. Guess it starts when I see him. I’m good with kids. I don’t really know why?” He shrugged in his honesty but babies and toddlers just seemed to gravitate towards him. “And well, I am magic, so…works wonders.” He smirked before dowing the rest of his drink Levi had gotten him. “So whenever the little guy needs me, I’m around. Works chill for me. Offer does stan with you as well, man. I missjudged you a little too quickly.” He nudged him. Sure, they’d gotten a rough start but he’s pretty glad Levi’s around him so they keep each other’s personalities in check as well as complement each other every now and then. He always did like someone who could keep up with him.
He missed her so much, and frankly, it sucked. Loving people sucked. Sure, he felt amazing, when he was actually loved. He thought he didn’t need the feeling, but it had gotten so addictive. It was like a drug, and his brain kept firing and telling him to find her, to go get that love, even though it was selfish, just to get past the withdrawal. But Levi’s pride was just as strong a force. He felt like bringing his walls down was for nothing, and chasing after someone who didn’t want him? There was no point. He wasn’t going to grovel. He wasn’t going to beg. Because even though Levi was a fighter, he knew when things were over. This felt over. “You know — I love it when people say that to me,” he quirked an eyebrow, throwing in a wink at Chester just to make him melt a little bit. Maybe it was his way of feeling desirable. After feeling so rejected, he needed the little boost. Because he was fairly confident Chester wouldn’t reject him at this point. They had somehow formulated an odd friendship that was just a lot of dicking around, but he was fine with that. His heart felt too heavy at the moment to delve into the serious side of this friendship. “I’m only good with the one. And I think that’s just because he can’t talk or do much yet except for shit and eat and cry. Honestly, sounds like this shit right now,” Levi, honestly, with all of the whiskey he’d been drinking might have to shit or eat soon. He’d gotten most of the crying out already. “Well, next time I got him, ya can meet him, Harry Potter. Just don’t make any sparks fly out of your fingers n’ freak the little dude out.” Levi chuckled, only to shake his head, “Ah don’t worry man,” he clapped Chester on the back, “I’m still, what most of these townies would describe as an ‘evil dick.”
“That’s true. It just feels wrong, to keep this a secret when knowing how to better protect themselves could save their lives.” He sighs. The last thing he wants is to tell the public the truth just to have them try and kill his family and friends. “At the very least, the rest of the department needs to know. We can’t implement a proper protocol to deal with supernatural happenings if we can’t give it to all of the officers. But I want them all to undergo new psych evaluations first so we can figure out where their heads are at.” He definitely doesn’t need anyone using this as an excuse to go dirty. The goal is to protect Mystic Falls - all of Mystic Falls, human and supernatural.
“It ain’t black and white. Knowing how to better protect themselves might save their lives, but they also could dislodge one of em weapons at someone who’s human. Just because they’re that afraid. There’s no way to control it. They’ll know the law’s failed them. They’ll think they’ll have to take things into their own hands. And that’ll be a whole new problem,” that’s what Levi thought, before nodding. “Most of the department does know.” They’d put vampires down before. Not as a whole unit, but a few of them have. He wanted to object to the psych evaluations, but he doesn’t. He knows that he can pass if he applies himself. “It’s just a matter of how much they know.”
“Now that sounds more enticing.” Molly smirks. If she hadn’t had such a bad experience with Clara, and dying in general, she might have considered taking the cure and then dying for real just to go to Hell and become one if she ever got into a situation that required her to have more power. Collecting souls sounded fun, if nothing else. She smirks when he admits he doesn’t know where this is going, and she traces his jawline with her nail as she speaks. Provocative? Probably, but personal space is a nonexistent concept to the hybrid. “Well, then. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what it turns into, won’t we?”
“Just me doin’ my job, right?” he quirked an amused eyebrow, not even noticing that he was being a lot more flirtatious than usual. Its as if he were reverting back to his old personality. Well, the personality that showed when he wasn’t with Bellamy. With her gone, that Levi was gone as well. He wasn’t committed to any woman anymore. He didn’t have to think about her anymore. He actively is trying not to think about her, which gets a little easier when the pretty blonde runs her nail across his skin. His jaw tilts up, eyes narrowing, only to whisper, “I ain’t used to waiting, Miss Molly.”
Sofia looked at Levi raising an eyebrow. “Hey, asshole.” She looked him over before scoffing loudly. “You look like shit.” She said, shaking her head.
“See the disdain is just as present as ever,” he remarked. But he was expecting that from her. He cracked a broken smile, only to joke, “Haven’t been using my eye cream.”
“Yeah, well, I’m tired of shrinks,” she mutters, though she accepts the whiskey from the bartender without a fight and gestures it towards Levi before knocking the entire thing back. “Haven’t seen you in a while. All that deputy power hasn’t gone to your head, right?”
“I don’t blame you on that one. I saw once and that was enough.” It was after Benji died. He somehow managed to convince the underpaid military shrink that he was fine. He cracked a smile, only to nod. “It definitely has gone to all of my heads.”
