Can You Fight God?
tiger-trigger:
Mikaela Hyakuya. Shinya recognized him immediately- it was kind of relieving to recognize something here. Even better, it was someone who wasn’t his enemy all the time. He was sure they could cooperate while in this strange situation. He held up a hand in greeting, a bright grin on his face. He was standing by the window, but once he saw the vampire enter, he pulled the curtain closed. “Hey there,” he greeted. “Fancy meeting you here!” Shinya had already explored the living accommodations. There were plenty of bedrooms, so he’d assumed someone else would be living with him, but it looked largely unused thus far. “Does this mean you’re my roommate?” he asked, moving over to lean against a chair casually. “It’s like Ferid’s mansion all over again~”Â
A damned Hiragi.Â
He’s more familiar with this one than...any of the others, really. That doesn’t make it any better. They still commit those atrocities. This man’s also apart of the army - regardless of what went down at the mansion he still doesn’t trust him. Anyone who’s genuinely friends with Guren can’t be a good person. To be complacent in all those actions...humans really are the worst.Â
The bit of light he could see in the room disappears behind the curtains, and a glare settles on the vampire’s face. As long as he asks for no favors, he owes nothing. He stands on the opposite side of the room, aware than his own strength his more diminished than he’d ever admit. He can still bluff though, granted Shinya’s never been one to fall for those in his experience. His face falls into a neutral, disbelieving state at the words coming out of his mouth.Â
There’s no reason he has to abide by the words of whoever brought him here. The one good thing about Ferid’s mansion was Yuu being beside him, and learning a bit more on what exactly caused the apocalypse. He won’t be letting himself rest being around him. So, he won’t.Â

Another person asking a vague question. As much as they could respect the reason for it, it would make answering it less awkward if they were more specific. Kyrie didn’t look perturbed by being approached, however.
“Out of… this island, or out of this area?” they replied, expecting this kind-of-intense looking teenager to snap at them for not picking the correct one on their own. It was probably the first option, but it also felt presumptive to decide they were the first person he’d asked about something that major.
“It’s complicated for the first one, but the short answer would be no. I do know I could get you to somewhere else on the island, though.” They lifted their phone from their pocket proudly. The new internet access was a gift they were taking full advantage of.Â
“Is there anything else I can do too? You seem a little…” They stopped, fumbling for a decent word for it. “Stressed.” No, not exactly, but that was as close as they could get. He didn’t really show much on his face in the night, so pulling the hints together from the way he approached, curt question and on was more difficult than usual.
To get out of an area you’d just...walk out of it, wouldn’t you? He stares at her dumbfoundedly, yet the utter stupidity that comes with her asking for that clarification is familiar. Doesn’t make him any happier though. Then they knows no way off the island. Just because this human doesn’t know, has no bearing on what others know, or what he can figure out for himself. The fact he was able to get here, means there should be some way out, whether it’s within his means right now or not. He’s itching to at least know, to have some goal to be working towards no matter how unfeasible it may be.Â
He has to get back to Shibuya, he can’t leave Yuu there with Guren alone.Â
....Actually, how much time has passed already? Between how long he’s been here, and the battle going back on in Shibuya. Does it flow the sameway? He hates the idea of not being there to help, especially when something so drastic is going down. He’s already established this place can’t possibly be a known one on his world. That crosses one thing off the list, which is some form of progress he supposes.Â
“Why would it matter to you?” He can’t fathom why they’d bother themselves with asking, or even offering - unless they want something from him. Figuring out what that is suddenly piques his interest more.

No closer to figuring out what Radiale is, there’s frustration that tugs at him. What about the grand battle back in Tokyo - was Yuu able to get away from Guren? Or what exactly is the First up to and in tangency with his ever-present dislike of the Imperial Moon Demon Company, the concept of not knowing things itches at him. He’s not even there to eventually have answers to his questions. Instead he’s...here. No closer to finding a way out. Tch.Â
The sun’s back up on this island, and whereas he never worried about it before - he doesn’t have the UV blocking ring. Where it went, or why, he has no idea. Sitting in the shadows like this, reminds of him once more of the filth he’s become. No matter what Yuu says, he knows he’ll never be human again. He knows. The sun’s lost.Â
Mikaela’s seen what happens to vampires who even stand in the sun without the rings for even a second. Were his emotions what they once were, perhaps he’d even shiver at the thought. He’s at the place the car from his arrival brought him to. Living...accomodations. Different than what he’s grown used to by quite a bit. Seconds grow into minutes, and then a voice makes him realize something. This realization leds him to stand, and glare in the direction it came from. He’s heard it before.Â
He’s not the only one here.

There is no clear way out. Nor exactly how he even got here in the first place. With such little information to go on...it’s certainly not an easy thing to figure out. He’s done this before though, the memory may be a painful one, but he is not wholly unfamiliar with his situation. Radiale, an island...somewhere. He’d never heard of the name, and despite walking around for quite a bit - there’s nothing that seems apocalyptic in any sense. As though disaster never reached this corner of the world.Â
Which is impossible, of course. Human’s Greed killed so many of them, the illness that swept the world killing those over 13. It spared nothing, and even if it did - the vampires would surely have staked their claim on the land. Yet, the idea that follows, that this is on a different world is equally impossible. There’s definitely no means of traveling - he’d know if there was. Which leaves him back at square one. So many questions, and such little answers. He absolutely feels weaker here as well, which leaves him uneasy.Â
He’s not powerless, though. Mikaela still has some strength, after all. He just needs to keep trying to get his bearings, and come up with some sort of plan.

Swirling, spinning, his mind is so…confounded on what’s going on here. Red eyes glance around quickly, seeing an endless hole and...a bunch of cars? He’d never seen so many moving at once, but before he can even attempt to wrap his head around this - he’s quickly ushered into one. No matter how much he thinks back to that, he can’t figure anything out about it. This place is definitely unfamiliar - and he’d been to a lot of places. The buildings are all in one piece, he doesn’t even hear children scurrying around, trying to hide. Nor broken windows, or cracked doors.Â
It’s all...pristine. He thinks he’s seen this before, actually. Crossing his arms over his chest, if he really focuses - the world was once like this. The buildings must have looked different of course, but everything being so…whole is what must have been like before the Apocalypse. ...When he was still with the Hyakuya Orphanage. He shakes his head, trying to brush off the thoughts that could easily follow up with that one - first things first. He needs to figure out where he is. He needs to find his way back. He can’t leave Yuu alone with Guren, the mere thought of it gives him a pang of disgust. He can barely tell it’s there, but he knows he’s uncomfortable.Â
After catching sight of a brown haired girl, as much as the thought pains him, he decides to ask her something. Walking towards the stranger, he moves slowly - aware of how fast humans can run, or quickly become hostile. It rarely matters much to him, they’re putrid anyway (he remembers what that felt like, what hatred feels like.) but it would be more of an annoyance than nothing if she took either stance here. “Do you know how to get out of here?”
