THE  ANSWER  DIDN’T  EXACTLY  SURPRISE  HIM  .  if  anything,  it  was  as  if  he  expected  for  her  to  confirm  something  he  already  knew  .  still  ,  the  knowledge  that  they  share  a  perspective  on  the  matter  felt  like  a  step  in  the  right  direction  .

love  is  chemical  ,  he  understood  that  part  very  well  .  nonetheless  ,  it  wasn’t  a  reaction  soren  felt  he  could  relate  to  ,  not  when  he  was  met  with  hate  and  rejection  from  a  very  young  age  .  

as  an  effect  ,  it  doesn't  take  much  to  understand  how  twisted  the  perception  of  love  he  held  truly  was  .  unpredictable  and  merely  conditional  ,  it  was  a  never-ending  cycle  his  mother  perpetuated  through  her  belittling  ways  .  he  knew  how  to  fake  it  ,  love  ,  that  is  .  however  boredom  always  made  sure  to  knock  on  his  door  sooner  rather  than  later  .      ❛      don’t  get  your  hopes  up  ivy  ,  it’d  take  way  too  much  for  someone  to  convince  me  to  abandon  my  lovely  lil'  bachelor  life      ❜      and  in  reality  ,  perhaps  that  would  be  best  for  the  rest  of  the  population  ,  sparing  them  the  free  trip  to  therapy  that  comes  with  getting  into  a  relationship  with  someone  like  him  .

❛      either  way  ,  i’m  afraid  my  career  choice  doesn’t  allow  me  to  disappear  for  weeks  at  a  time      ❜      it  was  enough  of  a  miracle  that  he  managed  to  talk  to  her  while  remaining  unspotted  .  doesn’t  mean  he  wasn’t  genuinely  considering  it  though  ,  even  when  it  wasn’t  his  usual  “  scene  ”  .      ❛                  what  exactly  are  you  hunting  for  this  time  around  ?  ?  ?      ❜
