Can the art hoe side of tumblr please stop romanticising Vincent Van Gogh’s suicide attempt? Gogh ate paint because he knew it was toxic. He didn’t do it because yellow was a pretty, happy colour and he didn’t think eating it would make him ‘happy inside’. He did it because he wanted to die. The medical notes of Dr Peyron, Vincent’s physician, reveal that Vincent wanted to poison himself by eating paint, which is why he wasn’t allowed into his studio while suffering from an attack. Can we stop with the ‘find your yellow paint!!!!!!’. Suicide isn’t pretty. Mental illnesses aren’t beautiful. Depression isn’t to be sought after. Stop romanticising.
fuck the idea that fat girls are only seen as hot when they have lingerie, a face full of makeup on and a sultry expression on their face like the level of femininity fat girls have to perform to not be seen as ugly is phenomenal
I feel like TheBootyDiaries is that one pretty friend who is really funny and at the same time will come up to your window at 3 am asking if you want some noodles.

hey hey hey
If you have a bfrb ur cute, ur beautiful, ur not gross and u deserve the best of days. I’m so proud of you if you didn’t pull/pick/anything else today.
And hey, if you did? I did too! And it’s okay! You’ve got this! You can do better tomorrow, and even if you don’t- it’s okay!
You’re still precious and deserve the same good things everyone else does. You’re more than your bfrb and I’m so proud of you ❤︎

also @ religious LGBT people can y'all like… not automatically flip your shit when another LGBT person says “I don’t trust religious people”?
I understand if they specifically say something islamaphobic/antisemitic/etc, but that’s often not what we’re saying.
personally, when I say “I don’t like religious people”, I’m speaking generally and vaguely about a societal type of people who have contributed to my oppression as a gay trans person. it’s like when non-men say “I hate men”- many of us still are aware that there are marginalized men, but we’re making a generalization about a class that has oppressed us.
whenever I see religious people in public, I literally feel so much fear for myself. when I say “I don’t trust religious people”, I’m not saying I actually hate or mistrust every religious person/marginalized religious people. I’m saying that generally speaking, religious people scare me because of what they’ve threatened to do to me and what they’ve already done to my LGBT siblings.
when we say “I don’t trust religious people”, we’re not saying we hate religious LGBT people or marginalized religious people. we’re being open about how a certain societal group makes us feel because of how much they’ve oppressed us and continue to oppress us.
i converted this to 8-bit so it kinda sounds like it’s from a video game!
