Everyone grows up watching some movies and others it’s crazy how it works and how only a couple years can change things. But you do that and let me know. But watch you you will want to watch them all, but the others are not that great. 

It really is, but that only shows how different we are and I find that really awesome. The world would be such a boring place if we were all the same and liked the same things. Of course, I will on tour whenever we’re travelling. I’ll keep that in mind.

that sounds like a great time! do you remember the first horror movie that really scared you? what was your favorite candy? the horror movie marathons will never get old, in my opinion. they’re awesome for trying to decide on a last minute halloween costume too. so many movies, so many ideas.

We used to watch a lot of horror movies when we were kids, they were Billie’s favorites. The Babadook really freaked me out, even though it’s her favorite movie. Right? You have so much to choose from, sometimes it’s impossible. My parents were happy for me though, I was literally the kid who asked to be a ghost every year.

Oh  that’s good set of movies and  ones I have not heard as much as a favorite movie. But both are good I’ve only seen them both like twice maybe? But I’ll have to sit back and watch again. Oh wow funny your sister didnt know it too…. But Bring it on! Such a good movie you should find time to watch it.

Yeah they were definitely a big part of my childhood and growing up. They’re really good movies in my opinion. Of course she didn’t, I’m not surprised since we both grew up watching pretty much the same stuff. I will definitely watch it when I have the time.

Exactly. How do you usually spend Halloween? Going out with friends, staying in to watch all the horror movies, or venturing out to see the haunted attractions at Halloween Horror Nights?

It really depends on the mood, to be honest. When I was younger, me and my sister would go trick or treat and afterwards we would have a horror movie marathon with our parents. I’ve gone to some parties before as well and had a lot of fun, but I do enjoy the horror movie marathon deal a lot.

So basically you only got the popcorn from what you were planning on getting? Sounds like me, whenever I go shopping, always get stuff that I don’t need. I don’t blame you at all though, they’re cute. I can’t really think of any traditions that we have, honestly I’m just looking forward to Halloween, my favorite time of the year.

I feel like I’ve been under a rock and hiding from everyone, without hiding from everyone, I’ve just been so busy with the mom life and traveling with my one year old, who I can’t believe will be two in December, why does time go so fast?? I can’t blame you for that though, sounds like you’ve been having quite the busy schedule. I mean, I’ve been so busy with touring that I feel like I’ve been completely out of everything that’s happening in the world. Time goes by so fast, you don’t even realize it. Good luck with your match, I hope you get the win and your title back. I’ve been good, so tired from touring but it’s been worth it.

I have one that I love and people are always shocked to hear it’s one of my favorite movies.  I’ll give you a line for the movie and you see if you know my movie I can quote by heart.   That’s all right. Two of the movies that were my favorites while growing up were The Social Network and Moneyball. Oh really? I’m curious now to know what movie that is though. Well, I feel bad because I have no idea what movie that quote is from, I’m sorry.

it was definitely criminal how quickly he’d grown accustomed to seeking comfort within the musician. he’d been transparent about where he stood ~ finneas aware that the footballer was still firmly closeted & yet, not a million per cent trustworthy when it came to ‘explorative options’. he’d already dithered over whether he was truly suitable for someone as perfect as the younger boy. nitpicking his own flaws until he’s talked himself into some stupid, unwarranted dexcision that left him consumed with guilt for a week until he was back on the singer’s doorstep seeking the affection he truly desired from the only person he really wanted.

he nodded along to finneas’ perfect dissection of the situation. he got it. “are you just saying all that to get in my pants…?” he teased, effortlessly trying to shift the mood. he wouldn’t have him alone for long & bringing down the tone just seemed insufferable in the grand scheme of thing. “i can’t wait to see you in my jersey again y’know…” his gaze dropped as if he was mentally undressing and redressing his counterpart as they spoke. “i reckon number eleven would suit you.” his glance turned momentarily shy. “i was actually hoping you’d make it to the first game. i mean, i know you’re touring & everything but… i want you, after.” he took another forkful of food. “good or bad, i just eh… y’know…” he had a habit of stumbling over his words when he was nervous. “need you.” jesse always found it fascinating to watch the musician at work. the way his mind worked so seamlessly to combine completely random sounds into music. “i won’t judge.” he shrugged, “i’ll be far more distracted envisioning you plucking something different than that guitar, honestly.”

For the longest time after his break up with Claudia, Finneas kept to himself and buried himself in his music. He would barely leave the house, only attending the events that he absolutely had to and for a time, Billie was the only person in the world that got to see him, apart from their parents. The break up had been really hard on Finneas and even made him go through the belief that maybe love just wasn’t worth it. When Jesse came along, it definitely came as a surprise. At first it was Finneas trying to open up to people again, following his sister’s advice. He didn’t think it much would come out of their flirting but the truth was that the singer found himself craving the footballer’s company and attention more each day. Although, he knew what he was getting into and he knew what Jesse wanted, how he was when it came to relationships and it didn’t bother him. Finneas was happy with the little moments he could get with Jesse, knowing that at the end of the day, the footballer could literally have anyone in the world and Finneas didn’t see himself as even someone who was in the same league as Jesse. 

Rolling his eyes, Finneas shook his head and went back to eating the food. “Nah, pretty sure I don’t need to talk you into it like that for that to happen.” A wink was sent his way, a smirk following right behind. He found himself smiling and laughing a lot more whenever he was around Jesse. “Well, all you have to do is get me one and I’ll wear it with pride. I’ll even wear it on stage when tour starts back up, just to show my support to you and your new club.” Titling his head to the side, a smile spread across his lips. “You really want me there? I mean, really?” Finneas didn’t necessarily expected that, guessing that there would be someone else Jesse would prefer having on the stands on his first match for his new club instead of him. “I mean, yes of course I’ll be there. I’ve told you that I’ll be with you every step of the way, no matter how things turn out. When's your first game?” He assured him with a nod of his head. “Alright, if you’re sure about it. I love how you can literally make a sexual reference from anything. It’s a talent.”

despite his flaws, the athlete was quick to grow attached. he liked the idea of a relationship — he wanted to be indebted to a singular person but putting it into motion was always far more daunting than materialising an image of it in his head. jesse blushed (thank fuck his complexion disguised it for the most part). fingers curled around finneas’ wrist momentarily to return the sentiment, mouth catching the younger boy’s lower lip as soft chestnut eyes gaged the reaction once they parted. “think maybe it’s working…” he smirked, “then again, it might have less to do with the food & more to do with what ‘m anticipating for dessert.”

it didn’t take jesse long to begin eating ~ his appetite for plant-based vegan dishes growing exponentially despite his initial resistance. it had taken the musician a lot of persuading, the footballer meeting every attempt with stubborn lips pressed together in defiance until he actually did waver and discover there was a world beyond steak & roast dinner. “i just don’t want to let them down,” he mumbled — adam’s apple bobbing as he confessed his inner-most fear. “i mean, they’re going to be paying me £200,000 a week, that’s like… top bracket money. it places me among the top fifteen best paid players in the league & it’s just…” he shuffled a bit. “what if it’s a waste? they’ll hate me.” & hating him came with a whole bag of issues. he smiled despite himself, the singer coaxing it out of him with maturity beyond his years. “maybe i want to hear the songs you wrote, not billie’s.”

Finneas had always been a relationship kind of guy. He liked the idea of being with one person, loyal and give himself completely to that person, so what he was currently doing with Jesse was something sort of new to him. But he was enjoying it so far, he really liked Jesse’s company and he was growing more attached to the footballer with each passing day. Although, he still had to guard himself a little bit, not knowing how things would turn out in the future, he understood that Jesse wasn’t ready for a relationship, at least from what the musician understood. And he didn’t want to pressure him either. “Well either way, I’m glad it’s working. I might just have to keep doing it then.” A smirk appeared on his lips as he looked at Jesse.

Finneas always called it a win when he managed to get someone into vegan food. He knew it was hard for people to make the transition, to stop eating meat and turn into a vegan but it was already a step into the right direction to get them to enjoy the vegan food at least. Plus, Finneas understood that for Jesse it would be a little harder, because of his work and the strict diet that he had to follow. “I understand that, it’s a big responsibility and you want to show them that they made the right choice by giving you a chance.” He paused. “But there’s not a doubt in my mind that you will do that, you’ll prove everyone how talented you are and how much you deserve to be out there playing. And you’ll shut the mouths of all those idiots who ever insulted you or doubted your talent.” Finneas sighed, giving his hand a squeeze. “Nah, no one’s going to hate you as long as you give it your all and leave it all out there on the field. They’ll know if you give it your all. And I’ll be right here, cheering you on every step of the way.” He offered him a smile. “Oh well, then I’ll let you listen to a few of mine but they’re not really finished yet, they’re a work in progress.”

the athlete’s fingers gently caressed the small of finneas’ back. a lot had happened in the interim of their last encounter ~ he’d finalised the decision for his next club & despite being excited for a new venture in his career, he still lost sleep over minor reservations. his heart was still at west ham even if he’d sided with his head this time. he needed the comfort that finneas provided. an unjudgmental body to curl into and provide a distraction from the noise that had buzzed so insistently in his mind after officiating new colours. a small grin tugged at the corner of his lips. “you cooked for me? look at you being all cute & domesticated.”

he was always ridiculously hungry after training. his own culinary skills lacking so severely that he often had to rely on the sustinence of several bowls of cereal as opposed to a properly cooked meal. he followed the musician into the home ~ pulling out a chair at the table as peaches buried her face in his lap. “got to train hard to prove a point,” he chewed the inside of his cheek. the decision to join forrest had been a hard pill to swallow for a fanbase that he had once greatly respected. “i don’t want to be the baller that isn’t worth his price tag.” the athlete tilted his head to the side. “do i get to hear these new songs…? or am i going to have to convince them out of you?”

Finneas was more than happy to have Jesse over and help him deal with everything that has been happening. He knows that not knowing where his future career wise might has been affecting him and Finneas could only hope that their time together here would help him at least get his mind off of it for a bit. Finneas was more than willing to be the support and the warm embrace that the footballer needed to get through his current struggles. There might not be anything official between them but Finneas did care for Jesse quite a lot. “Yes, I may have. Not me trying to get your heart through your stomach, it usually works.” He winked at him before pressing a kiss to his cheek.

As they walked into the kitchen, Finneas had already set up the table. He checked on the food and realized that it was ready. Finneas placed the food on the table and sat down in front of Jesse, before serving them both. “You don’t have any points to prove. The people who don’t see how talented you are, are just blind. Either way, there’s not a doubt in my mind that you’re going to kill it this season. And show them how wrong they were about you.” Finneas reached across the table, letting his hand rest on top of Jesse’s. “No matter what, I’m proud of you. You’re a talented and incredible human being.” He paused, shrugging his shoulders. “Some of them. Billie has this really personal song she wrote herself for her boyfriend so that’s a no go for now.”

Dark hair fell into her icy blue eyes as she focused on the lyrics in front of her. This was all out of Billie’s comfort zone. She always had a say with her lyrics, but Finneas always fine tuned it and somehow made it make sense. She would always credit her big brother for understanding her vision, message and overall purpose when it came to her music and career. Yet here she was, not only writing lyrics she was genuinely proud of, but it was to a ballad. And that was pure inspiration from her boyfriend. Her eyes flickered up as she heard the familiar voice echo through the studio. “Whaaaaats up?!” She said, giving her brother a big cheesy smile. “Born ready, my dude” She replied, nodding her head towards him. “Okay, you want me to sing it or play what I already recorded?” She questioned as she walked over to grab a sip of his coffee.

Finneas knew how much this meant for Billie, whenever they were working on songs together, Billie hated writing lyrics, it was her least favorite part but for her to come to Finneas with an entire song written down? It was a huge step and it meant that the song meant a lot to her. They worked together well like this though, Billie had amazing ideas and Finneas always did his best to put them on paper, turn them into the lyrics for their songs. “Not much, excited to see what you’ve created.” Finneas sat down at the desk, turning the chair so that he was looking at her. “Whatever you prefer Bil, I don’t mind. But it would be cool to listen to you singing it live now, to get a true understanding of the feeling.”
