VIXI - NFL Draft 2015, #DraftTown
The 2015 NFL Draft took place in Chicago, Illinois. It was the largest draft to date with the NFL transforming “Chi” town into "Draft Town”. The NFL and their partner Verizon turned to VIXI as the social media display platform of choice for the draft.
Over 200,000 diehard fans descended upon the city in support of their teams, relishing in the excitement and scale of the NFL Draft. Using the hashtag #Drafttown, fans shared thousands of photos and tweets, which was moderated using VIXI and featured on the various large displays around the event.
VIXI’s new PATENT PENDING real-time 3D platform was debuted at the draft, transforming the traditional 2D social media wallpaper into an amazing 3D experience!

Beautiful Texas - Don't Mess With Texas (TxDOT)
The Famous Group was honored to partner with The Sherry Matthews Advocacy Agency to produce the 2015 TV spots for the infamous and award winning “Don’t Mess With Texas” campaign. The creative took a departure in a new direction from previous campaigns when it called for a 300 ft tall “trash ball” to roll through the freeways of Texas. The Famous Group jumped at the chance to flex our integrated production capabilities by combining the disciples of Live Action Production and CG Animation. We enlisted the talents of award award winning VFX Director Wayne England to lead the creative execution along with a small and nimble production crew led by Director David Marion. The live action production spanned 5 days and over 1000 miles of driving to shoot the beauty plates. Post Production spanned a month as Lead CG Animator Will Shepherd worked to create a photo-realistic “trash ball” which took on a life of it’s own as it rolled through the various scenes spanning the state of Texas. Completed with the song “Beautiful Texas” from County Music legend and Texas Native Willie Nelson, the :30 spot launched successfully on television and social media and garnered over 300,000 views in it's first day live on Facebook alone.

Good Morning from the West Coast!
We’ve collaborated with the Los Angeles Clippers to create a 3D open video that literally breaks the boundaries of court projection. Beyond just the typical edit of highlights and graphics, this first of its kind open coordinates custom lighting and costume design, the Spirit Dancers, and LED balls that feel as if they were propelled from the court directly into the pumped up crowd. It's an explosive open that takes court projection to the next level!

Good Morning! Here's a gorgeous snapshot of the sunrise illuminating the MCAS tarmac from our recent San Diego Padres shoot. photo by Steve Davis
In the months leading up to Super Bowl XLIX, the designers of The Famous Group worked hand-in-hand with the NFL to create a unique style guide for the big game. From there, our team worked at a relentless pace to accommodate the creation of over 200 player headshot files for 4 display sizes. We also created the in-stadium minute long "Countdown to Kickoff” video which incorporated actual NFL game footage, beautiful motion graphics with photo real desert terrain tied to heart pounding sound design. In addition to the creation of stadium graphics, The Famous Group moderated the millions of fan photos utilizing #SB49 and displayed them in real time using our proprietary experiential social media platform, VIXI. Through dedication, team work, and our unrelenting commitment to quality and excellence, it’s no surprise that this year was our 10th Super Bowl, and we look forward to providing our services in the years ahead!
