// hi gang, wanted to give a little explanation on my whereabouts! it started as being busy with work around the holidays and visiting family which stretched up to valentines day. things slowed down, but then i got very sick with the flu/possibly covid aaaand for some reason, a switch flipped in my brain and my anxiety meds suddenly dont feel like theyre fully working. its been difficult trying to get it under control, and i've recently been scheduling appointments with doctors after years of neglecting that. its scary, but hopefully it will help. i am also nearly always very fatigued, and hopefully will be going for a sleep study in the near future to help with possible sleep apnea.

SO all in all, its been eventful! quinn is on my brain 24/7 and her muse is strong. i WANT to write her on here, but my brain is throwing around so much, its hard to get it to go where i want. i think about you all and our gremlins a lot and hope you are well. i feel bad for not being around and communicating, but you gotta put yourself first and foremost!

wish my luck as i try to get everything under control and hopefully be back when the dust settles. please feel free to ask for my discord, or if we're already pals on there, never be afraid to say hi! ive been particularly bad at reaching out lately (oops) but even if its been a while, we're still friends :3

Quinn was in awe as she snuggled up against Dio, her hand reaching down to cup the back of their daughter's little head. She was so perfect, and Quinn had never seen anything quite like her. Small, delicate, yet still so strong. The baby blinked open her sleepy eyes that hadn't yet adjusted to the light of her new home, their gazes finally meeting. They were indeed a deep emerald just like her own. Seeing herself like that in their child was stunning.

"A-aye, she does, doesn't she?" she laughed breathlessly, turning to press a kiss to Dio's cheek. They weren't done quite yet, but this beautiful moment was a more than perfect reprieve. "Think our next girl might have your eyes?"

medieval starters - winter  setting!  the  sender  grabs  onto  the  receiver's  arm  to  avoid  losing  their  balance  on  an  icy  patch  of  ground.

Flakes drifted down on that peaceful morning in DunBroch, the castle and the rugged land covered in a fresh blanket of snow. Winter was historically Quinn's least favorite time of year, though Merida seemed to enjoy it for some reason. After much convincing, the former thief finally gave in to her love's pleas to go for a morning walk about the castle grounds. "Alright, fine. I guess the snow is pretty or somethin'," Quinn sighed in feigned exasperation as the two strode side by side, a smile quickly breaking over her reddened cheeks. "Don't get cocky, it doesnae mean I enjoy the cold or anythin'."

Suddenly, Merida unknowingly stepped on a patch of ice hidden underneath the snow. She fell backwards and grabbed onto Quinn's arm, the both of them exclaiming in surprise. "Woah!" the brunette yelped as she tried to keep them both upright. They were no match for the power of gravity and the two women soon fell back into the fluffy snow. They laid there together for a few moments on their backs staring up at the serene white sky, turning to look at each other in sync... and bursting into laughter.

Maybe winter wasn't so bad after all.

As her newly appointed personal guard, Quinn had accompanied Ella to the market she insisted she needed to visit today. Honestly, she spent more time talking than shopping. Green eyes cast a glance in the direction of the hoodlums who had been so bold as to approach Ella had since scurried had off to. They made an attempt to steal her coin purse, but Quinn made quick work of them by thwacking the leader of the pack with the butt of her sword right in their stomach.

"Well, then forgive me for my intrusion, My Lady." Quinn murmured whilst she tightened up one of her various leather belts. She sighed softly at the look on Ella's face, soon pushing herself off the oak tree she had been leaning against and quietly approaching her. "Look, it's my job to protect you. I'm not tryin' to be overbearin', I'm only lookin' out for you."

Maybe she should be gentler. "And, even though it's my job, I still want to see you safe," Quinn offered her a gentle, reassuring smile at that. It was the truth, after all. "I should teach you how to use a weapon. I think you'd have fun."
