Hello, everyone!
I have been on a very long hiatus, and (fortunately or not) I am back. I wanted to pin my Rules page for everyone to find and glance at in case you were hoping to Plot with me anytime soon, I would be so happy to talk to any and all of you! Stopping quickly in his tracks, Roy braced himself to a halt, looking over the scene before him. His once hardened face quickly fell to that of something close to sympathy, maybe even closer to the look you get when you remember something sad. It looked like something he'd seen before, almost exactly, just many years ago and during a much worse time. His jaw clenched hard and his eyebrow twitched for a second, but his eyes remained still on the two.
"I won't hurt you,"
Making out the words almost gently, he reached out his hand, staying still.
"Just give me the wallet back, you can keep the pocket change. --Hell, I'll even give you a bit more out of it, just... hand it over."
His eyes were sincere, as if it helped, but his face was cautious, yet oddly concerned. There was even something deeper in Roy that wanted to do more, that out of the guilt of every fiber of him felt like he owed far more. His life, even. He felt like he owed them that too.
Trying not to say too much, out of fear they might just up and run again, he remained very still, but made an effort to see the boy who'd fallen.
"Are you okay?"
"Hey Colornel!" Don't mind Ed, he's just playfully flipping off his superior...Because of course he is. {Hello~! Thank you for the follow, I apologize in advance for my asshole child XD}
"You know, I'm beginning to become so proud of you,"
A surreal amount of true emotional sentiment leaves his lips, even going so far as to spread across his smile until he leans forward to finish his sentence and it falls flat.
"You're becoming very mature."
Hands him a mini skirt. "They made me wear one so you have to, too!"
"oh, c'mon..."
Holding the small thing that would, in any other situation, please him to see, he lifted it up to the light for a moment to examine it. Jeez, why the hell is it so short??
"How do you even sit in a thing like this? Won't it rise up? I'm glad I wore my black briefs today..."
Dragging his feet to the nearby bathroom stall, he just sighs in defeat. He didn't want to be a hypocrite and complain too much since he did vote for these to be uniform anyways, just... maybe not for him specifically.

"Half of my mind was lost, but now it's found again." He says, looking up to the sky. "Thank goodness you came back when you did. I was already losing more parts of myself." He was just glad that now he could start making sense of everything that was happening. Now he wouldn't get conned again for a third time now that his mind has come back into his senses.
"We will not be called a dumbass again." He says shaking his fists. He was determined not to fall for any tricks again now that his sense was back in his brain.
"That's right." There was an overwhelming amount of confidence in the echo that followed the disembodied voice. "We will be taken seriously and we will not be tricked. We are Roy Mustang, the future leader of Amestris, the one true hand of Justice, and we will not be made into a laughing stock by our own team!"
"Now, get ahold of yourself, and childproof everything before that mystery-thief steals something else out of the ordinary and seemingly necessary for everyday use."
"I know, it's already too late, we just can't give into their demands again. I can't afford to lose anymore money. We're trying to save for things we need, but WE NEEDED THE DOORS." He says softly, "We could have gotten Ed to remake them for us, but we needed those specific doors. It just wouldn't be the same without them. Everyone on the team called us dumbasses for being conned like this." He looks down at the ground as he talks to himself.
"We really are a dumbass aren't we?"
"Now, now, my physical form, we can find a way to guarantee this does not happen again. I am sure of it. Your consciousness is here to save the day- a day late perhaps, but a day nonetheless. Without me... Well..."
"Let's just say, we have a wise team behind us and they only tell us what needs to be heard. They are just smart enough to have known I was lost to you-... yeah that had to have been it. They think you lost your mind."
A content, yet curt nod bobs his head a bit as the thinks to himself- themself... us, about this.
"They will take it back, now that I have finally returned."

The response doesn't necessarily take Shiori off-guard, as Roy was nearly always so incredibly cool; if anything, it was simply relieving to know an even deeper working mechanism to the other's brain.. Yet, one couldn't help but be afraid. Need reassurance. Of course he knew this was new and completely uncharted territory for the other.. And yet, to see him so confident, even now..
" Thank you. "
It's really all he can say. Slowly, his old and fond smile creeps across his lips, this time with something akin to the coolness the other's own response had given, as he eases the digits of his left hand between those of Roy's right. He rather felt a bit guilty at the question out of the blue, not wanting to have stressed the other.. But having needed it. The reassurance. Blues catch those deeper ones and he decides that he hates seeing that sadness on Roy's face- knowing he himself was rather patient.
" That would have been difficult... " " After all, I don't really think I can hide my entire self. "
The uptick to the corner of his lips, gentle and faint is something only Roy would be able to notice.. A teasing little quip of a tease to lighten the mood and the burden he had just placed on the other's shoulders.
The look that had been given to him was enough to lessen the tension he felt in his own chest. It was a hard question, not to answer, but to ask, not only to hear an answer back. He was almost proud of him for feeling like he could ask it in the first place, but even more proud of himself for being open enough to create a space where Shiori felt like he could ask these hard questions and feel comfortable enough to hear the hard answers from him.
"You act like your whole personality revolves around your relationship with me. Hiding who you are isn't the same as hiding who you are with me. If anything, who you are with me is a bit more... hmm, how should I say this..."
He holds his mouth open in a processing thought, the beginnings of an obvious tease. Though, it was taking a moment to come to him.
"Let's just say, I know the normal you isn't so keen on P.D.A."
A soft chuckle flickers from his lips as he felt his shoulders relax back into himself and curl his fingers into Shiori's. "I may be getting used to this part of me, but you aren't something I have ever wanted to hide. Even at the beginning, I just didn't know who I was or what I was doing."

"Oh, for fuck's sake, what the hell happened? --wait, you know what? Never mind. I have enough on my- well, OUR mind as it is... All I'm saying is you better not have lost our wallet again."
"I saved it before they almost took it." He says softly, pulling out his wallet, showing his conscience the evidence. "Where were you when I needed you YESTERDAY!" Wait he already told him why, a sigh, "Never mind, just... I-- We got conned out of 13,000 cens, yesterday...a gray mask stole all of our doors and the lid to our pocket watch. We WANTED those doors specifically and I needed the lid back so instead of torching the gray face merchant.. we bought them back for a total of 13,000 cens."
Grimacing, the sentient mind was going through the motions of losing so much money for seemingly no particular reason. And, of course, just pissed that he was right- as always. It gets pretty predictable talking to yourself all the time.
"Oh, God that's a lot of money... I know I was gone for a while but if that's what happens when I'm away, I guess I can never take some time off. Even if it was to reevaluate for our own sake."
He sighs softly into the void of the mind, regretting his lack of decisions.
"I hardly even got any progress, all I know is that I have more questions than before. I guess we'll never really know anything, since I can't stop to think for us."
