Summary: Ichiji just wants to spend his birthday with you.
Ichiji had made it clear to everyone that he didn't want to be bothered for his birthday. No parties, no fuss, just time for himself and you. However, you still wanted to get him something, so you picked up some cupcakes from a local bakery before going to see him.
"I was wondering where you were," he said when you came in.
"I stopped at the bakery," you say. "They were busy than I thought they'd be."
"Didn't I say I didn't want anything for my birthday?" he asked.
"No, you said you didn't want bothered, and even then it's your birthday so you still get cake. It's the rule," you say.
"Says who?" he asked.
"Says me," you say. "You wanted to be stubborn and not have a party so cupcakes."
"Is it really so bad that I just wanted to spend the day with you? You know, without all the hassle," he said.
"Well, when you put it like that, no it's not bad," you say.
"Still, thank you for the cupcakes, and for coming over," he says.
You already had a plan for Robin's birthday long before the day actually rolled around. You took her to a book store first thing in the morning so there was plenty of time to browse.
"You can get whatever you want, I'm buying," you say.
"Are you sure?" she asks.
"I wouldn't have said it if I wasn't," you say. "Today is about spoiling you."
"We might be here a while," she says.
"That's why we're here so early," you say. "Take as much time as you want. We can go out for lunch or dinner when we're done."
The two of you spend several hours roaming around the book store. Robin finds several books for herself and even a few she wants you to read.
It's mid afternoon by the time the two of you check out. You find a nice cafe nearby to get some lunch and relax after shopping. After eating, you both agree to get some dessert to go before heading home to start in on the new books.
Summary: You want to pamper Killer for his birthday.
Killer was a hard worker. That was something you admired about him, but he had a tendency to worry about everyone else before himself. It was expected with a crew as chaotic as the Kid Pirates. After all, someone had to be the one to keep their head on straight, especially when Kid himself could be such a hot head.
So, with his birthday coming up, you decided it was his turn to be taken care of. At the last island the crew had docked at you had picked up some supplies and now the night was finally here.
After dinner you helped him with the dishes before pulling him away to the bathroom.
"What are we doing?" he asked as he looked at the different products you had sitting on the sink.
"It's your birthday present," you say. "You're always taken care of everyone else so tonight it's your turn."
"You really set up a whole spa night just for me?" he asked.
"Yeah, I've got face masks, hair masks, and stuff for a bath," you say.
He pulled off his mask as you talked. Despite having been around you without his mask before he still always seemed sheepish.
"You're really something else…" he says.
You reach up to move his bangs out of the way so you could actually see his eyes.
"You do so much for me and the rest of the crew. You deserve some pampering," you say.
"Does that mean you're getting in the bath with me?" he asks, a subtle smirk pulled at his lips.
AHHHHHHHHH I LOVE IT SO MUCH!! I know I am getting what I asked for but I love the colors and the lines and the pose and the smile and the lil earrings and the vibes and just IT IS SO PERFECT \lol/
Summary: You surprise Kid with tickets to see his favorite band.
You got lucky this year for Kid's birthday. His favorite band had announced a tour months ago and they were coming to your city around his birthday. You told him you would try to get tickets, but that they ended up selling out. However, that was a bit of a lie. You were able to get tickets, VIP tickets specifically.
On the night of the concert you had Kid come over under the guise of going out for a simple date night. Once you both were ready, you headed out. Although, Kid was starting to get suspicious since you insisted on driving and wouldn't tell him where you were going.
"Is it dinner? A movie? Bowling?" he questioned.
"I told you you'd have to wait and see," you say.
"Are you kidnapping me?" he asked.
"If I was I wouldn't admit to it," you say. "You're gonna like it, don't worry. We'll be there soon."
After about ten more minutes of driving you pulled into the parking lot of the concert venue.
"Hold on… I thought you said tickets sold out," he says.
"They did, but not before I bought some," you say.
"You're serious?" he asks.
"No, I thought we'd just come and sit in the parking lot," you say sarcastically.
"Okay, smartass," he says.
"Here, you'll need this," you hand him one of the tickets.
He takes a moment and looks over the ticket. Almost like he's checking to make sure it's real.
"Holy shit, this is VIP," he says.
"I'm aware," you say. "I wanted to make it even more special for your birthday."
He couldn't hide his excitement anymore.
"Come on, let's go get in line," he says while already starting to get out of the car.
You had barely gotten your car door shut before you felt Kid's hands on your hips. He pulled you in close and kissed you.
Iceburg was a well liked guy in Water 7. What had started as a simple surprise party with some of the shipwrights from Galley-La had now turned into a city wide celebration. It was a lot of extra work, but you couldn't be mad when you saw how happy it all made him. Especially after everything that had happened in Water 7. It was good to see him and everyone else smiling.
As the festivities started to wind down Iceburg grabbed you and pulled you into an alleyway, away from all the people. He pulled you close with his hands resting on your waist.
"I can't believe you put all this together," he says.
"It's not too much, is it? It was just supposed to be a small thing with some of the guys, but once word got out it took on a life of its own," you say.
"It's amazing, you're amazing," he says. "I think this is the best birthday I've ever had."
"I'm so glad to hear you say that," you say.
"Although, there is one thing that would make it even better," he says.
"What is it?" you ask.
"Some time for just us," he says.
"Oh, I already thought about that," you say.
"Yeah? What did you have in mind?" he asks.
"I'm not gonna ruin the surprise. You're just going to have to wait and find out," you say.
Summary: You and Ace get away from the Whitebeard Pirates for a bit on his birthday.
You and Ace both loved the Whitebeard Pirates, but sometimes it was nice to get away for a bit. So, that's what you planned to do for his birthday.
The two of you spent the morning and part of the afternoon celebrating with the rest of the crew. After things started to wind down you and Ace left on Striker to a secluded island he had scouted a few days prior. It wasn't far from where the Moby Dick was currently docked, but offered a chance for some much needed alone time.
You helped him set up camp before settling in for the night.
"Happy birthday," you say as you hand him a small box with a bow on it.
"You didn't have to get me anything," he says.
"It's your birthday so you get a present. Open it," you say.
"Alright, alright," he opens the box to find a pin shaped like a flame.
"I know it's not much and it's pretty cheesy, but I thought of you when I saw it," as you talked he took off his hat and pinned the pin to it near the two smileys.
"There, now I'll always have a reminder of you no matter where I am," he says.
Summary: Your neighbor claims to have made too many cookies while baking and offers you some.
You were spending your afternoon cleaning up your apartment when there was a knock at your door. You hadn't been expecting anyone so you were a bit thrown off by the interruption. You were even more surprised to find the it was you neighbor from across the hall. The two of you had only ever shared words in passing, but he was always friendly and you'd be lying if you said you didn't have a small crush.
"Hey, sorry for the surprise visit, but I was baking and accidentally made way too many. So, I thought I'd bring some over," he says.
"What kind of cookies?" you ask.
"Gingerbread and some Snickerdoodles," he says. "I didn't know if you liked them, but figured it couldn't hurt to ask."
"How did you accidentally make too much?" you ask.
"Just got the measurements wrong," he says. "Simple mistake."
"Uh-huh…" you say, voice full of skepticism, as you take the tin of cookies from him. You couldn't help but notice he seemed a bit nervous. "Did you perhaps just make cookies?"
"I just… I was already making cookies and I thought you would like some," he says.
"Well, thank you, I appreciate it," you say with a smile. "Would you maybe want to come in and share some with me?"
"Really?" he asks.
"You went to the trouble of making cookies for me, figured we could hang out for a bit. If you want to, that is," you say.
"Yeah, I'd like that," he says and follows you inside your apartment.
Summary: You and Kento had originally agreed on no presents this year, but you ended up with other plans.
The holiday season was slowly approaching. It was normally the time of year that both you and Kento would be trying to decide what to get each other all while trying to keep it a secret. However, this year Kento insisted on not doing presents. He had always dreamed of going to Malaysia so over the summer you had surprised him with a vacation. He insisted that it was more than enough to cover the holidays and his next birthday.
You had originally agreed, but now you sat on the couch with a small gift box in your lap. When Kento came home his eyes went from you to the box.
"I thought we agreed on no presents this year," he says as he hangs up his coat.
"We did, but now you're getting a present anyway," you say.
"You're too good to me," he says as he sits down next to you and takes the box.
"I'll keep that in mind," you say. "Open it."
"Shouldn't I wait for Christmas or something?" he asks.
"Trust me, you'll want to know what it is sooner rather than later," you say.
"Alright, alright," he says. He opens the box to reveal a positive pregnancy test. His eyes go from the test, to your face, to stomach, and back. "You… you're…"
"Surprise, we're going to be parents," you say.
"We…" he sets the box down and immediately pulls you into a hug.
"I'll take that as you're happy," you say.
"You manage to make me the happiest man alive everyday, but this takes the cake," he says. "I love you so damn much."
Summary: You attend the Duke's annual holiday ball.
Every year during the holiday season the Duke of Baldur's Gate would host a holiday ball and this year you had received an invitation. It was a lavish event with good food, good music, and relatively good company. You had come by yourself, mostly just to see the spectacle, but while you were mingling with some of the other guests you caught the eye of the Duke's son. The two of you had met in the city a week prior, but didn't have much of a chance to talk.
"Are you enjoying the festivities?" he asks as he approaches you.
"I am," you say. "I can see why so many people look forward to this throughout the year. What about you?"
"It's a lovely evening and I'm with even lovelier company. It would be hard not to enjoy it," he says.
"Are you always such a sweet talker?" you ask.
"A little charm never hurts," he says with a smile. "Are you unaccompanied this evening or…?"
"It's just me," you say.
"In that case, would you care to dance?" he asks, holding out his hand for you.
"I would like that very much," you say and take his hand.
He leads you to the dance floor where the two of you spend the rest of the evening.
Summary: You get into bed with Toji, but you're always cold.
You had just finished your nighttime routine and went to join Toji in bed. As soon as you were in bed you curled up against him. Toji was more than happy to have you against him until your cold hands and feet made contact with his skin. His body stiffened, but he didn't pull away from you.
"Why the hell are you always so cold?" he asks.
"Don't know," you say with a shrug. "But you're warm. I like that."
"Oh, I get it. I'm just a heater to you, huh?" he teases.
"Yep, a heater that's nice to look at," you say sarcastically.
"I'll remember that," he says.
"You do that," you say. "But seriously, it's nice cuddling up to you. Especially in the winter."
"It is nice and I want you close, but warn me next time before you put your cold ass hands on me," he says.
"Will do," you say as he pulls the blanket over you.
Summary: You decide to go out sledding with some of the Heart Pirates, but things don't go to plan.
You were just finishing up your daily chores on the Polar Tang when you heard Shachi and Penguin yelling for you.
"I'm not doing your chores too," you say before they get the chance to say anything else.
"No, that's not what we wanted," Penguin says.
"Well, actually-" Shachi doesn't get to finish his sentence before Penguin elbows him in the side.
"It snowed on the island we're docked at. You should come sledding with us and Bepo," Penguin says.
"Oh, yeah, I guess I could go with you guys," you say. "I'll get my coat and meet you outside."
After some walking around the four of you found a perfect hill to use. The first few sled rides were a fun success, but that quickly came to an end when Shachi came down the hill too close behind you. You had went down on your stomach and your sled managed to turn around in the process. When you got to the bottom of the hill Shachi wasn't able to stop in time and ran into you feet first, leaving you with a bloody lip.
"Shit, are you okay?" Shachi says.
"Yeah, yeah, I'll be fine," you say as Penguin and Bepo come running over.
"We should probably head back so you can get cleaned up," Bepo says.
"Law's gonna kill us," Penguin says.
"It's not that bad," you say. "Besides, it was just an accident."
"Does it really matter? He always freaks out when you get hurt," Penguin says.
You pulled your scarf up over your mouth, covering your now cracked lip.
"There, problem solved," you say.
"You really think that's going to work?" Shachi asks.
"Do you have a better idea?" you ask, but they don't respond. "That's what I thought."
Once you were back on the Polar Tang you tried to hurry to the bathroom to patch up your mouth before Law could notice, but he had a habit of seeming to sense when something was off.
"What happened?" you heard him ask as you passed by his room.
You backtracked to lean in his doorway.
"What makes you think something happened?" you ask.
"You weren't out for very long and you took off your coat, but not your scarf," Law says as he gets up and comes over to you.
"That's because it's cold," you say.
"Uh-huh," he says, clearly skeptical. He pulled down your scarf to reveal your cracked lip that was now starting to swell. "And did the cold do that?"
"Obviously," you say.
"Sit down," he says.
"It looks worse than it is," you protest, but take a seat on the edge of his bed anyway.
"I'll be the judge of that," he says. He gathers up what he'll need to clean the small wound and sits across from you.
"I can clean it myself, you know," you say.
"Doesn't mean I'll let you," he says.
It's quiet as he carefully cleans the cut on your lip.
"I don't like seeing you hurt," he says.
"I'm not a fan of it myself," you say.
"Tch, smartass," he says, but there's no real annoyance behind it. "Just… if you're hurt, don't try to hide it from me."
"I just didn't want you getting worried over something small," you say.
"I understand, but believe me, I'll worry less if you're honest with me," he says. "I know you can handle yourself, but…"
"I get it," you reach out to hold his hand. "I'll tell you about every injury, even if it's just a paper cut, if it'll give you some peace of mind."
"Thank you…" he says as he lightly squeezes your hand.
12 Days of Ficmas 2025 Day 1: Roasting Marshmallows
Fandom: One Piece
Pairing: Portgas D. Ace x Reader
CW/TW: None

Summary: You and Ace sneak into the kitchen for some late night snacks.
It was late at night on the Moby Dick, but you and Ace were still awake. The two of you snuck into kitchen for some midnight snacks. There would probably be hell to pay in the morning when Thatch found out, but that was a tomorrow problem. Once you both were satisfied with your hauls you returned to the crow's nest where you had been hanging out to divvy up the snacks.
"Here," he says as he tosses you a bag.
"Marshmallows?" you guess when you feel how squishy the bag is.
"Yeah, I know you like them," he says.
"I do, but I really only like them when they're toasted," you say.
"Say no more," he says while holding out his hand. A small fire formed in his palm.
You look around for something to use as a stick to roast the marshmallows. The only thing you are able to find as a substitute is a fork.
"Thatch will probably throw you overboard for messing up the cutlery," he teases.
"What Thatch doesn't know won't hurt him," you say. "And you better not tell him."
"If I did that he'd probably just end up blaming me," he says.
"True," you say. Once your marshmallow is toasted to your satisfaction you go to eat it, but Ace takes it off the fork before you can and pops in into his mouth. "Hey!"
He can't help but laugh at the annoyed look on your face.
"Relax, there's a whole bag," he says.
"That's not the point," you grumble as you put another marshmallow on the fork.
