a tiny apartment with perfectly fine wiring but lit with candles -- from the street, the windows glow pink

an elf detective who chases down human violators with his talking star sidekick

a magick-run hospital in the heart of the city

faerie children dragging their feet through snow, frozen ice-cream cones in their hands, wings trailing behind them

a hotel run by a family of dwarves; the rooms are always well-tended, a library that seems to run on forever, with mossy carpets and winking faerie lights, breakfast stews and buttery ales

an orphanage for abandoned halflings

a school filled with giants taking up four or five seats in the classroom, a troll basketball team, elven professors with exasperated frowns, and tiny human children who take everything in with wide eyes

watching a fantastical creature heal themself -- the bandages keep peeling off, and Vaseline seems to sink into their skin, but the deep wound is barely a scratch hours later

a talking bear who runs the local wishing well

a grim kitsune detective and their bubbly child who runs their family sweet shoppe

dragon-heated public swimming pools

when the faeries miss the winter, they'll sprinkle faerie dust over the city in the middle of the summertime: tourists often wonder why the streets are so glittery and why flakes fall from the sky when it's so hot
