⭐️ Introduction post! ⭐️
Hi! This is a blog oriented towards helping cis-straight men with fictoromantic, fictosexual, selfship, yumeship or otherwise related urges let go of this disgusting habit. Through tough love we can move past these terrible impulses, and while we may not be able to fully atone or redeem ourselves for the negative impacts our state of being has had on the creative world and both women and queer people.
Why is this blog created? Because men in the fictoromantic spectrum are ill, toxic for our society and mentally ill. I used to be one of these people, and now through hard work I managed to overcome those urges and become a better man. Men like us have nearly killed the developers of Mihoyo, and not to mention sent countless death threats to a wide majority of talented creators all because of our sick, perverse attraction towards fictional characters. Remember, fictoromanticism was made by minorities for minorities! There is no safe way to experience fictional attraction as a straight man!
Aiding the fantastic game designers of many modern gacha in deprogramming incelish and unhealthy minded men from fictional women, we can create a better, safer future for the world of entertainment.
How can you start?
First of all, “break up” with whatever female character you are with, or rather realize you were never with her to begin with, there was never anything happening, she is a nonexistent person owned by another company who DOES NOT WANT YOU CREEPING ON THEIR CHARACTERS!
Secondly, try shipping that character with her canon partner, canon implied partner, or just her most popular ship to work gradually towards reprogramming yourself and realizing she belongs to someone else and not you.
Finally, don’t be afraid to mock yourself, make fun of your toxic attraction and call out how awful it was and every unhealthy element you can find in it. Keep doing these steps, and over time you will gradually wean yourself off these characters and start seeing a path towards a better tomorrow for everyone.
REMEMBER! The people you’ve hurt may never forgive you, that’s a reality we all have to live with. We hurt queers, we hurt women, we hurt talented artists by forcing our affections on these characters and invading queer defined spaces. You cannot undo the past, but you can make sure you won’t hurt others.
DISCLAIMER!
This blog is not intended to be aimed towards gay men, women or nb folk. It is 100% fine and encouraged to continue loving these wonderful characters! Many new indie developers and artists are regularly searching for ways to create more characters to be inclusive towards your urges, they are not at all negatively affected by anyone who isn’t a cis-het man.
