I definitely just suck at the game, but Hypnocatrice is a really good learning monster I’m kinda sad it hasn’t came back to the series. Ofc Frontier could have different stats from Freedom Unite, but I think there is a substantial raise in difficulty from Kut Ku to Hypnocatrice that would totally allow them to inhabit the same game.

Hypnocatrice does something clever that (while the tail slap is ridiculously brutal) where it lacks one shot attacks, it instead has sleep element attacks as a way to punish bad timing and positioning which effectively forces you to eat the next attack.

There are only a few things that genuinely feel a bit over punishing, I think the lunging peck attack has way too much tracking and so too does the diagonal sleep breath that there isn’t really anything clever you can do but just spam roll to the side whenever Hypno might do it, which doesn’t feel satisfying as avoiding a bite or spit attack.

I love that even Fate for being heralded as the first male romance game has many characters considered canonically spoken for and strictly off limits for the player. Meaning even the rare cases male romance games exist, devs know men need to be kept on a very tight leash to keep them under control.

I think I forgot to do it last week but WEEKLY ADVICE!

Sometimes it can help to pretend like you hate a character that you “love” (again, men can’t feel true love), but not for incellish reasons like them being taken or whatever. Just choose to hate their personality or their role in the story, and just hate away. Hate is the opposite of love, and over time it can start to tug and pull that unhealthy infatuation back into a healthy neutrality and detachment.

I finished watching sheep detective (surprisingly amazing movie btw) but one thing I can’t stop being so happy about is that THE SHEEP CAN’T UNDERSTAND OTHER FARM ANIMALS! YES FINALLY A MOVIE THAT REALIZES ANIMALS CAN’T TALK TO OTHER SPECIES JUST LIKE HUMANS CAN’T UNDERSTAND OTHER SPECIES!

It’s a pet peeve but it drives me nuts in so many other animal movies that somehow all animals share a universal language that humans for some reason can’t. But in sheep detective the sheep are able to talk to eachother but still just hear dogs barking and chickens clucking which is exactly what it’s like for animals just like it is for humans.

Now of course I’m conventiently ignoring that the sheep can understand english in this movie but I’ll let it slide especially since they don’t understand all the human words
