Got to work on my improved second edition unicorn print. I used parchment paper to transfer the design onto a second block so that the color contrast layer lines up perfectly this time around.
Fuck the algorithms. I decided today I'm only gonna post in places that don't make me want to rip my hair out. What difference does it make if I have a ton of followers on a platform that's keeping me from making art because I'm too distracted by ragebait or weight loss ads or whatever.

My wrists are hurting, but I’m dreaming of the stars. I’m mesmerized by the original 1980s Cosmos by Carl Sagan. I wonder what early scientists thought about nerves. I’ve got so much time for my thoughts to hop about when I’m spending most of the day in bed, distracting myself from the yucky day to day of illness with the big questions.

The summer witch picks magical herbs naked under the full moon, contorting her body into weird shapes just because she can.
I have prussian blue ink coming in the mail, which I'm really excited about because it creates beautiful deep purples. I'm thinking of trying a magenta-to-deep blue gradient!
I just sold out of the multicolor versions of this print! I'm so incredibly fond of it that I'm planning to do a cleaned-up second edition with a new block for the color layer. While I love the rustic look of this one, I also know I've grown in skill enough to achieve my final vision.
