32, 31 for.....gw and tkp crew?
OH BOY
31: The way they’re perceived by others 32: Their toxic traits
Bautista: Baut has a reputation for being a general hardass but also, like, pretty nice? This has much to do with Wesley (Baut’s old partner, in more ways than one) doing PR and sanding down Bautista’s edges. Wes has some serious rose-tinted glasses on when it comes to Bautista, and people that actually get to know Baut after hearing about them from the PIRA grapevine are shocked at how short-tempered and generally apathetic they are to the existence of other people.
Nazeri: The golden child, the prodigal son, the almighty heir to PIRA’s empire! Everybody knows Duarte has a soft spot for them, and that Nazeri is a legitimately nice and delightful person to be around. Little do they know, Nazeri cultivates this image on purpose, because they have a massively inflated and delicate helium balloon ego. They NEED everyone in the world to love them, and see being disliked as both a personal slight and challenge to overcome. This leads to them doing shit like love-bombing and trying to buy people’s affection with gifts and acts of service.
Devin: Oh Boy! Devin is Warden’s unofficial mayor, sheriff, community arbitrator, and therapist for a reason. They have a rep for being fair- and solution-minded with a love for the people. Much like Naz, Devin is manipulating the people on purpose, because their deep childhood wound is being disliked and outcast by the very community they serve, whom Devin. Kind of hates? The rest is spoilers. You’ll figure it out eventually.
Trace: Rat.
Sibir: Much like Bautista, Sibir is most often perceived as a stoic badass, and unlike Bautista, Sibir maintains this. Nobody's running PR for Sibir in the TKP-verse, except maybe the Physician, who just nods and agrees that yeah. Yeah Sibir Would kill you on the spot. You've seen them do it. Surprisingly, Sibir doesn't have many toxic traits except for maybe being overly cautious at all times. Keeps their cards close to the chest, that one does.
Lisandro: Public and personal opinion swings widely between him being an underprepared (and possibly kinslaying) boy-king, to being the best thing for Alandria since proverbial sliced bread. Those that know Lisandro personally know that he is, among other things: 1) personable 2) a great player of the Game. Toxic traits, you'll have to figure out on your own when I eventually publish the demo.
Idali: Now. Okay. Hear me out: what if the women.... were goth and mean. Toxic traits include being absurdly hot, and having the opinion that everyone is beneath her, which in certain horny contexts is also absurdly hot. (This includes other women, because Idali despite all intents and purposes is not. Like. A forward-thinking new wave feminist. It's not that women deserve the same rights and opportunities as men, it's that she's different and superior to other women because of her huge genius brain who because of her assigned sex is frustratingly stymied, and if other women were more like her maybe they wouldn't be so disenfranchised. She brings a sort of "not like other girls" mentality to the table that is very at home in an early 2000s #girlboss movie, which while being notable in Alandrian noble society is still utterly patriarchal. And also pisses off a lot of peasant women, who by and large are given more freedom and leeway in the Not Considered Property department. She's gradually unlearning this, however. Gradually.)
Tesias: lol. lmao.
i love the fashion and culture around that fashion that youve created for the alandrians! im not interested in fashion at all but youve made it super interesting to me! out of curiosity, how exactly do most alandrians react to the "wrong" gender wearing the "wrong" type/style of clothes or jewelry? is it more of a "what a strange person" passing thought or is it more of a social no-no than that? and what do they think of mixing gendered styles together (such as mixing metals) in regards to their ideas of gender presentation?
WAILS. Thankies. Watch this space for Sibir and Tesias in the next few days!!
Alandria is an intensely gendered society, which in part has to do with Alandrian being an intensely gendered language. (For linguist nerds, Alandrian has three genders: masculine, feminine, and holy/neuter)
Generally speaking, working class Alandrians will react better to someone playing fast and loose with gender norms. Their reaction would be closer to “well that’s weird but who cares” as a whole.
It’s the bourgeois Alandrians you have to worry about if you’re queering your gender presentation. Alandrian politics are infamously viperous and to deal with that, the ruling class’ ideas of propriety are extremely stratified. Sumptuary laws being what they are, it’s entirely possible to piss off the wrong petty lord and get arrested for wearing the “wrong” style of clothing. The Yvasean religion is also strictly gendered, so you could also get in trouble with the church if you’re really unlucky
Idali gets away with queering her gender and being a fashion-forward trend setter because shes directly next in line to the Alandrian throne after Lisandro. And also she’s really, really fucking scary
I'm stealing this ask from another blog I saw, asking for Greenwarden and any other of your IFs you wanna do. Which of the ROs would want to take the MC's last name if they were married? Would any want the MC to take their last name?
Oooo, fun question!
Would take your last name:
Bautista, Trace (has no last name), Lisandro (probably couldn't because of The Feudalism)
Would hyphenate:
Bautista (again), Nazeri, Devin, Mattie
Would keep their last name but you don't have to take theirs:
Bautista (x3), Devin, Lisandro, Idali, Lane, Mattie
Would love it if you took their last name:
Devin, Nazeri, Idali, Tesias, Lane, Mattie

Tesias, Mattie, Nazeri, Idali, Sibir, Bautista, Lisandro, Devin, The Physician, Lane, Fury, The Tracker, Trace,
for TKP: any interesting facts about the ro's?
hope you're doing well! I'm excited to read the demo!
Interesting facts!!!
Sibir has a few tattoos, mostly sailors tattoos with a lot of superstitions behind them. Dragons around their wrists, a pair of swallows on the front of their shoulders, sharks on the top of their feet.
Lisandro adores horses and has quite a few. His favorite is a palfrey named Orocalli. She is, of course, a very shimmery golden Palomino color.
Idali does insect taxidermy and has a large collection of exotic spiders and arthropods. She likes making little scenes with them :)
Tesias is a tinkerer and always tries to find time to invent things. They made their mask, which is made of light plaster that’s decorated with copper leaf.
