Vertigo
Falling itself is not what we're afraid of. It's the inevitable fate we fear when we finally connect with the earth. A sense of vulnerability for a moment, accepting that we are merely just a speck of dust in this vast universe.
And what makes it all more real is that one great love we get in a lifetime. Why then do we allow ourselves to fall, hard? Hesitant yes, but always hopeful that someone is there to catch us, to save us from reaching the brink of bottom. Heartbreak, being one of the most excruciating pains a person can feel, is a result of love - being one of the most rewarding sensations of all.
So I close my eyes and think...
I too, want to let go of my vertigo.
I too, want to fall helplessly into your arms.
But please please please, catch me.
