Inclusive feminism always
Last time, I talked about my own struggles growing up brown - how I was constantly made fun of for my unpronounceable name, my body hair, and my skin color. This time I’m here to represent the millions of brown people who don’t have a voice.
I’m here for the queer brown people who can’t come out to their homophobic parents, for the trans brown people who aren’t given the attention and recogition they deserve, for the disabled brown people who are disowned or ignored by their family, for the poor brown people who give up everything other take for granted just to survive, for the brown girls who are expected to be submissive to men, for the brown people who are scoffed at for their accents or appearance, and for the brown people who are ridiculed for their culture as white people steal it and make it “hip”.
Until all of those problems cease to exist, brown people will continue to be angry and more importantly we will continue to fight to reclaim our culture.
So here I am, your local ethereal queer Bengali, to reclaimthebindi once again :~)
you ain't a feminist if ur transphobic
REBLOG IF YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF A FEMINIST
alrighty guys i need to prove a bitch wrong please reblog or i may die
what real mens activists look like (see more here)
Just so you know, I love all of you.
This is really important though. Like we women can talk all we want about how feminism is just as much about men as it is women bc as much as that’s true misogynistic men who already hate women aren’t going to listen until they see other men listening.
The only time I’ll ever make this request: Could everyone please reblog this?
A lot of Black people are hurting right now. As important as it is that we talk about what’s happened in Charleston, I know how easy it is to get overwhelmed, especially when this happens to us over and over again. If your dashboard is like mine, it’s saturated with updates and commentary, and while it’s great that the information is getting out there, if you’re in need of a momentary break to regroup, I have an emergency happiness tag for such a time as this called My Favorite Things. It’s filled with humor, happiness and joy and I’ll be adding more content to it today to buff it up a bit. Please feel free to access it whenever you like.
I’d appreciate it if y’all could reblog this–and before anyone asks, no, you don’t have to be Black–so it can reach as many people as possible, and if you have a happiness tag, include a link to it in your reblog.
This is an emotionally trying time for a lot of us, and I know I’m not the only one who could use some positivity right about now.
this means so much to me….
Satan confirmed feminist

reblog if you think female rapists should get the same amount of jail time as male rapists
okay but this argument is soooo flawed.
only 3% of male rapists get any jail time
9 out of 10 rape victims are women
1 out of 6 women has been the victim of attempted rape/rape (for men it is 1 out of 33)
So this argument is basically saying female rapists should get almost no jail time because currently that’s the case for men. Furthermore, this is basically showing how everything is turned against females because the overwhelming majority of rape victims are female. Instead of saying “reblog if you think female rapists should get the same amount of jail time as male rapists” how about we say:
reblog if you think all rapists should get serious jail time
to be a feminist you have to support all women
trans women
disabled women
sex workers
women in the fetish scene
etc.
you can’t slut and kink shame other women for doing what they want with their bodies, which is frankly none of your fucking business, and then say you’re a feminist.
Can we talk about this willow smith tweet??
This magical new underwear could replace tampons and pads
Menstruation is a natural part of life, but it has long been and continues to be stigmatized. Three women have come up with a way to change all that. Twin sisters Radha and Miki Agrawal and friend Antonia Dunbar innovated THINX underwear, which completely eliminates the need for tampons or pads and could also help in need in the developing world.
No more pads???
tbh it is so inspiring that caitlyn jenner is doing this rn bc as young people (especially young people who experience oppression/closeting/etc) we forget that our lives are long. we forget that we have 65 years to figure out who we want to be. we think our ability to grow and change and be flexible with our self expression vanish after we are 35 but that’s not the case. we have so much longer to decide and re-decide who we are. our sense of selves are so small when we are this age, but look at caitlyn. look at her living her life. if you are 15 or if you’re 24 or if you’re 39 and you are struggling to figure out who you are, don’t worry. your life is yours & you can take your time if you need to.
