Ice Bucket Challenge

I've seen at least 50 ALS ice bucket challenge video posts today... In a related story, California is experiencing the worst drought since 1895!

I don't want to sound like I don't care about the disease... It's a horrible one... More than 5,000 people die from it in the US every year... That being said, 6 to 8 million people die annually in the world due to lack of water and water-related diseases.

783 million people do not have access to clean water and almost 2.5 billion do not have access to adequate sanitation... yet we as a nation are happily pouring it on ourselves...
