"Maybe we could try a different angle. You know, one that doesn't scream necessary head on and knock everyone out due to pure boredom, that kind. In other words; Do you have anything interesting?"

"In what ways do you think that is going to benefit me?"
TH: Graham/Lounds: [Two To Tango]
–– Will Graham nervously shifted his weight from one foot to the other, it was a poor attempt at distracting himself from something that he wasn’t sure why he distracted himself from anymore. Flashes, covered in red, appeared in his mind that he made no effort to force out. Since being convicted, he was bordering on gracious for the things that he discovered about himself, and the realization for lack of sympathy. Most especially for the uncultured who deserved nothing but to be covered in clumps of soil and onto the next one.
”I have a lot more to bargain with than you could imagine.” He couldn’t determine whether or not the words were spoken quietly as a reminder to himself or to the fiery journalist standing before him, expecting answers. ”I would be more than happy to provide you with all the gritty details on how you thought I was a murderer. I knew otherwise and how I live my life now […] ––with my dogs and an optional session of fly fishing. Novel material you’ve got there.”
Freddie let out a laugh seemed as fake as she had meant it to. The man clearly had more to bargain with than he thought. Fly fishing wasn't even the weight tipping the scale. "I think you underestimate yourself, Mr. Graham." Sucking in a quick inhalation of the cold air that surrounded them, she readied herself to spew as much bullshit towards the agent as possible. To get somewhere, you have to try and to try means play dirty.
"I could tell your story about how you were wrongly accused, how the world turned it's back on you..even your closest friends who you thought would never turn to the one man you never wanted them to. However, if we name Hannibal Lecter by name in this book that has my name on the cover along with yours, there might be a few bad stares in my direction. However, that would still benefit you. Do you see my dilemma? Maybe I could agree to scratch your back one more time with this story since it no longer helps me in anyway shape or form and you can agree to something for me...for a change. "
She truly didn't expect this to be easy, but badgering and hounding were part of her DNA. Come hell or high water, she would get what she wants, when she wants it, no matter who ended up in the crossfire.

–– "Choice of friends, maybe?” […]
"Dogs do need fed, afterall. Much like yourself." Graham remarked and pushed the rim of his black-framed glasses further up on the bridge of his nose where they rested, painfully close in proximity to his sweat producing pores. They created a wide-spreading heat from each edge of his face to the other where he could feel the warmth of Freddie’s breathing, probably in his imagination, on all of his facial features.
"Why is it that -" […] His disparaging gaze met hers, his profile locked in perfect position; forcing her to see him for the first time in a while. They hadn’t properly had the pleasure.
” –– despite any location, you never fail to reek of snark remarks, cheap journalism and a vintage hairspray?”
"If you call something that can only bark a friend, then maybe it's a poor choice." Maybe to onlookers what they were doing could be considered barking, kind of poetic in a certain aspect though she was certain Graham had forgotten his how to book on pleasantries at home...whatever cave the man could call home these days, anyway.
Her fingers grazed the camera inside of her bag for a split second as she listened to the man before her, or what appeared to be a man, hurl a snark comment back to her. "We could sit and trade insults all day long, Mr. Graham but maybe on your time since mine needs to be spent working unlike some of us who can easily make it by with not coming in when they've been accused of murder."
"Humor me. Did you seem to forget a little scratch of your back without reciprocating? You don't have much left to bargain with, do you?"
"Why is it, Mr. Graham, that every time I see you outside of a small room where you have no access to any animal of any kind other than yourself that you smell like kibble?"
do you like dogs?
Four legged creatures haven’t ever truly been my forte. I prefer the two legged kind of animal with a story to tell that actually can speak English or other forms of the human language instead of bark or hump my leg.
Send someone else, Jack. She’s one of yours.
