People are dying from over thinking. They fill their brains with harsh thoughts and it brings the body down too. Chances are no one thinks as bad about you than you.

UC San Diego isn't just about sun, surf, and science. Once a Triton, always a Triton. (But yes the weather is pretty awesome, we all have to admit.)
:) my first buzzfeed article. wooot
It’s okay— it’s always night there, anyway.
I'm so lovable, even police officers have trouble arresting me.

Two Words
One soul
laying in the ellipses of your words
in these eyes that bear unseen worlds
one soul
being struck by its light
by the seething of its clarity
one soul
i’ll meet you and we’ll
travel through the whole
brush centuries in a blink
explore the eternity of a second
and the immensities of our palms
we’ll be one raindrop the curve of a rook
we’ll cry in wonder before the birth of a bird
and shed tears before an unborn whisper
we’re and we’ll be beings of light
dust and continents of life.

Yesterday i went around bywater in New Orleans. I found a man sitting outside on a chair rolling a cigarette with a bottle of gin by his side. The interesting part about him was the small typewriter in his lap with a sign that read “Poet for Hire”.
After talking to him i found out he was from Paris. He told me, in his thick french accent, that people can come to him and give him a topic, any topic, and he would write a poem about it. His fee? anything they wish to donate.
I read some of the poems he wrote as he told me what each one was about. A father wanted a poem for his son who had just turned 12, a husband wanted a poem for his wife’s 51st birthday. They were beautifully written, each one catering to the audience.
So i told him about Divine Love. The Love in which you can find God. Love that is a manifestation of God in a persons soul. When you find that soul in another person, when you find God in them, that is when you have truly fallen Divine Love. In Divine Love, there are no sinners. I told him to write something about falling in Love with God, and this is what he came up with.
Enjoy.
Subhanallah! First the bathroom, then Facebook, now tumblr. What a tiny world. (:
Oh my goodness!!! Alhamdulilah.........this was meant to be <3 <3 <3
I saw that you were perfect and so I loved you. Then I saw that you were not perfect and I loved you even more.

To God we Belong and to Him Will We Return
In Memory of our Brother, Ali Moaddel
Blessed is He in Whose hand is the kingdom, and He has power over all things,
Who created death and life that He may try you– which of you is best in deeds; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving (Holy Qur’an, Surah Mulk)
Inna lilla wa inna ilayhi rajioon
We speak these words so easily, rolling right off the tongue
The tongue the same Creator gave us, the Creator we forget as we pass our days and nights
Until all of a sudden we are reminded of His Might
You died Sunday night, you fell
Through the world of tricks, illusions, trials and
You gained new sight, you broke through
your limited dusty body and
your pure soul passed to the Light.
If Sunday was my last night on Earth, would I have been ready like you?
If the angel of death blew his trumpet for me, would I accept it like you?
Would my soul readily surrender to my Creator, going Home at last like you?
Did I pray my Maghrib and Isha that night? and to beg God to forgive my sins, did I take a minute or two
What do I have left? One minute? Or two? Or twenty two? Or a hundred and two?
If I died on Sunday night how would I be remembered?
Did I help others?
Did I love with all my heart?
Was I selfish or did I feel the world’s bothers?
Was I kind?
Was I compassionate?
Was I gentle? Merciful? Humble?
Or worse than cattle was I deaf, dumb, blind.
Can I accept death as my friend enough to be ready
When I am questioned in my grave, am I shocked or am I steady?
Will death finally sharpen my visions, and make my heart alive
and with the veils of ignorance gone now I can finally see what I had denied?
If the whole world were blind, how many people would you impress?
If you were given power and wealth, would you too oppress?
If you had it all, would you forget the Ruler of All?
Do we speak out for Justice, even against ourselves?
Do we guard our souls knowing that we belong to God
And to Him is the Final Return
That He has created Life and Death to test who amongst us is the best in deeds
Do we remember this truth:
Everyone upon the earth will perish,
And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.
Life is a gift. Time is temporary.
And our bodies and hearts and souls never were our own
The breath I take now, the precious blood in my veins is not my own
The heart that beats, the eyes that blink, are not my own
If I sleep tonight, and I don’t wake up, it’s because my life is and never was my own
Ya Allah if you take my soul tonight please take it safely Home
Your life was a message of Truth and your death the biggest Truth of all
Dearest brother and friend, you are remembered and missed and will be in our prayers until we too get the call

You were supposed to be here this weekend, but in a way, you were. @alimoaddel #msawest
The road less traveled is sometimes the road that leads to a whole new world.
Alhamdulilah
for you, for you, for definitely you, for everybody, everything, every test, there is kheir in everything.
random thought of the night
I love people who don't care about being judged by anyone but God.
