In the Italian town of L'Aquila there is an unusual fountain called Fontana Luminosa ("luminous fountain"). The sun's rays passing through this fountain give the impression that fiery lava is pouring out of it.
To create a fiery illusion, several factors must converge. First, the Sun must be in a certain place. Secondly, the sky should be clear. And since the illusion doesn't last long, someone has to be there at the right moment to capture it.
