Decided to make a pinned post that isn't the Octonauts crossover fic!
Before I start, I'd like to say one thing.
If you use any of my works or creations to feed AI, I will cause many problems for you. I do not want any of my works to be used to train AI. I hate generative AI and believe it steals jobs and art from ACTUAL HUMANS. Do not use my stuff please and thank you.

Hello there! I'm Fig. I mostly just exist here, writing and drawing me and my friends ocs. I mostly participate in the Dreamswap/Fatal Flaws and IBVS fandoms. Maybe sometimes I reblog things from others. I use they/them, although I really don't mind other pronouns if it's for a bit. I really like fish and oranges and no, I've never actually had a fig before. That's cannibalism(silly) I am not giving out my actual age because of internet safety, but I am a legal adult and currently in college for marine biology.
I do not draw, write, or reblog NSFW stuff, I am not comfortable with it. If anything I reblog or post gets tagged as mature content by Tumblr, please let me know so I can review it.
Here are the tags I use for my own stuff:
oc - writing and art of my original characters
traditional art - every piece of artwork I make. I am a traditional artist; it's just me and my colored pencils against the world
bweeble - Bweeble is the name of the story for my main two ocs, Delta and Pilot. I think it's really cool you should go check it out. The name came from a Minecraft world a friend had that my switch wouldn't let me join through local play for some reason. I promise the name Bweeble will have lore relevance later on.
Fishy Flaws - This is the Octonauts crossover fic I mentioned above. I made it as a joke, but it is currently posted here and on AO3 with more to come. It's crossed over with Fatal Flaws, thus the name. Used to also be tagged under its respective fandoms, but I didn't want it to fill up the tags.
(month) prompts - Writing prompts I do, although most are for Bweeble. Just search the month followed by prompts in that handy little search bar of my blog and it's bound to pop up.
That should be all, but I'll add more as time goes on. Have a nice day!
In which an escape attempt goes wrong, not horribly, just unfortunately.
It was pouring hard outside. Delta was frightened and jumped at every clap of thunder, but who could blame them? It had only been a few years since the Sterlings' house had flooded in an awful storm. But no matter, Delta was leaving tonight.
It had been a few hours since they “went to bed.” Pilot had actually given Delta the key to the room this time to avoid a repeat like the morning before. He had also gone to bed if the footsteps Delta heard was any indication. They were going to wait a few minutes before up and leaving in an attempt to go home.
That’s right, Delta was running home. They’d kept the lights off while they packed something’s into their backpack which they thankfully had with them when Pilot had taken them, including the rainbow frog. And Blink was coming too; it sat on Delta’s head as they prepared.
There was one slight issue, however. Delta didn’t know where the nearest town was.
The eleven year old’s plan was to walk (or run) along the path Pilot had driven on until they saw another person. No, Delta had no GPS or phone to contact anyone in case something went wrong. They didn’t care enough about that detail.
Delta finally unlocked and creaked the door open, having a clear view of the living room. Lights were off and no one was in it. The lights in Pilot’s bedroom seemed to be off as well. Now was their chance.
They walked as silently as they could. Pilot waking up could ruin the whole plot. Delta’s heart pounded the closer they got to the front door, and as they unlocked the door too. Thankfully, the door opened without a sound.
Delta quickly moved out and closed the door behind them, closing with a soft thud. Hopefully that wasn’t enough to wake Pilot up. The rain still poured and Delta realized that they didn’t have an umbrella. It was too late now, going back inside risked getting caught. It was better to brave the storm, like a bison. So, Delta took off running to get as far away from the cabin as possible.
Unfortunately, they did not have a flashlight either. Maybe they should have planned this out more, not like there was time to. The forest was dark and Delta was forced to slow after tripping and hurting their knee. That was okay though, Delta was running out of breath anyways. They kept walking.
Blink was still on Delta’s head, soaked to the bone like its partner in crime despite not having bones. Snails were weird. It took a motion of what Delta called laying down.
Then the rain came down harder than before, forcing Delta to seek shelter. There were some conveniently placed rocks nearby that Delta could wait underneath. Although, even underneath Delta kept shivering, still getting wet as water dripped down and formed puddles at their feet. It was cold.
Delta caught notice of something red on their knee. Sure enough, it had been scraped when they tripped. Unfortunately, they realized they didn’t grab any form of bandages in their packing. Hopefully it didn’t get infected.
Their teeth chattered. The damp clothes clung to Delta, making them feel worse. Rain still poured, and if it didn’t let up soon Delta might be forced to wait out the storm entirely. At least Blink was enjoying itself, it liked climbing up rocks.
An hour must have passed by. It’s not fair, Delta thought. I just want to go home. They were so tired and missed their dad so much. They had never been away from him this long. He was probably furious right now, how could Delta have trusted a stranger like that? He would’ve been right though. It was a stupid idea to let Pilot keep walking them home.
They were so tired. Delta had taken their glasses off to clean from the rain and hadn’t put them back on as the metal felt too cold to touch. It was a struggle to keep their eyes open. Nodding off in the middle of the woods would be a stupid decision, but Delta didn’t think they could stop themself if they tried.
While Delta was doing that, Pilot had been awake the whole time. The rain was too loud for him to go to sleep, so he just laid in bed, staring at the ceiling. There were still glow-in-the-dark stars from when he and his cousins were little on the ceiling. He was going to give Delta this room, but Pilot didn’t think having them wake up in a kid’s room would help the fact that he really didn’t plan on them coming with him.
Pilot told himself that, at least. It’s very obvious to anyone else with a brain that even if it was an impromptu decision, he still wanted the kid with him. Hell, he would have grabbed Mallard too if he had been home beforehand. Maybe the transition for Delta would’ve gone easier.
Speaking of his newly acquired kid, Pilot had heard their door open a little while ago. He assumed that they were just getting a glass of water or something, but he never heard the door open and shut again. Pilot probably should have checked on them then.
He didn’t. He thought that maybe a little bit to themself in the cabin would be good, Delta didn’t need him over their shoulder all the time. As time passed however, he couldn’t help but get curious over what they were doing.
Finally, he got up and walked out of the room. The door to Delta’s room was still open, maybe they just preferred having it open at night? That explained why they freaked out last morning. Pilot left it open and went to see if they were in the kitchen or living room at all. He knew they weren’t in the bathroom, the lights in there always shone beneath the door. They weren’t in the kitchen or the living room either. But they hadn’t been on the bed, maybe they were hiding in the closet again?
Delta wasn’t in the closet. Or anywhere else in the cabin for that matter. Pilot had checked everywhere twice. Where could they have gone? They hadn’t gone outside, right? He checked the front door.
It had been unlocked.
As the author and readers know, Delta had run off without much thought put into it. The kicker is, Pilot would have done the same at that age and now. So him getting upset would be rather hypocritical of him. Of course, he did, but was fortunately more concerned with finding Delta. At least they had taken the frog toy he had given them. That gave him some piece of mind, somehow.
Pilot rushed into his car. Hopefully, Delta was smart enough to follow the road that led to the cabin. He would not be able to find them if they hadn’t. It was still pouring. Delta was going to have caught at least a cold by now.
They were going to have such a talk when Pilot found them.
He would’ve driven faster if it wasn’t for the fact that he didn’t want to risk not seeing Delta hiding somewhere. The headlights of the car did not help much in the rain, but Pilot took what he could get. Eventually, he spotted a torn piece of colorful fabric. Pilot got out of the car to look at it. It was the same color as the sweater Delta wore when he last saw them.
Good, that was good. Delta must have come this way. But for the fabric to have been torn, Delta must have been hurt in one way or another. That wasn’t good.
He moved on, turning the car off and continuing on foot, with a flashlight. He always kept one in the car after too many times of the Torchspark base losing power. Seriously, how could a gang on that level lose power so often? They definitely had the money to pay the power bill, so why wasn’t that getting done? At this point, Pilot left not because of moral reasons, but because sometimes his “coworkers” and “boss” felt so incompetent sometimes. He also probably shouldn’t have said that to Pail’s face when Pilot told him he was leaving, that’s besides the point though.
Fortunately, the rain was letting up. Pilot had an easier time seeing now, however there was still no sign of Delta. Wait, no the author takes that back. He spotted footprints in the mud, leading… off the road.
God. Damn it.
Pilot followed the footprints, which led to a pile of rocks. They ended there, with no visible sign of Delta. Still, he checked the area a bit more to make sure. When he was about to give up, he heard sniffling coming from the rocks.
Pilot hadn’t thought to check if they were underneath the rocks. That’s where Delta was though, curled up in a little ball soaking wet. It was like their braids had deflated from the rain. He was more concerned that Delta looked like they were struggling to stay awake than their braids. They were also much paler than before and visibly shivering. Blink was on their shoulder like always as they stroked its shell. It was a sad sight.
“Alright.” What else could he say? Delta barely even looked at him, even when he shone the flashlight in their face. Their knee was scraped too. “Let’s get you home.”
They had perked up at that. Only a little, and Pilot realized that they thought that he might have meant back where Mallard was. It wasn’t going to say anything though, and instead slinged Delta’s backpack over his shoulder and picked Delta up to carry them back to the car. They pressed against him in his arms, gripping his jacket with one hand. Nothing was said on the walk back to the car.
Pilot placed them in the passenger seat next to him. There was no way he was leaving them out of his line of sight now. And, the passenger seat had a seat warmer, so maybe that would help. Delta was out by the time he turned the car on.
He drove much faster than he had before on the way back to the cabin. The rain had also let up, which would have been great if it had done so hours ago. Maybe then Delta wouldn’t be in such a poor condition.
They could’ve been in a worse one if the Torchspark’s got ‘em. Pilot scowled at the idea. Then again, what was hopefully just a cold was better than the Torchsparks entirely. Maybe they didn’t kill children, but that meant nothing against actually harming them. Pilot could deal with Delta being sick.
Inside the cabin, he set Delta down on the couch. They were hot to the touch but still shivering. Probably wasn’t good, but Pilot was more worried about drying them off and, maybe, calling Mallard asking for help.
He definitely should have found a way to get Mallard to come too.
Who is currently unnamed, but the ref is saved under “Judgement” because that’s all I could think of. Not sure I’ll keep it, but I’ll have to spin some other names for him. He/him pronouns.
I don’t know if the cult would wear shit like this 24/7, so imagine he’s wearing it for a ceremony of sorts. Or just that he likes the robes and thinks they’re comfy. His hair is naturally black, but he did dye it at some point and it’s starting to grow back into black. Don’t ask how he dyed it, but he probably wasn’t supposed to. Also don’t ask why the dyed bit wasn’t like. cut out or something. Maybe he gets special permission to do shit like this because Nightmare’s kid and all. Or no one’s brave enough to
Plus bonus of him telling someone (possibly a sibling) about the Bible (or at least the cult’s equivalent). Don’t ask why it has an eye, it just Looks Cool.
I hate the Sims I made a room. And there’s no ceilings. Without a ceiling I can’t change the wallpaper to be different from the outside of the wall. Maybe Paralives is better I’ll look at that later.
happy midnight! y'know making new official dreamswap refs wasn't exactly on my list of things I planned on doing in 2026, but here we are APPARENTLY.
design notes:
miles's cape has a blue fade on the ends now, and his cape pin has been changed from a moon to circle. there is also a crescent moon on the back now, as its length has been extended to fit this.
as always, the moon shape on the end of miles's staff can change size and shape. only one side has a moon now.
vicky's hair is an extremely light blue; almost white. it is bleached. her eyes are gray. she wears dark eyeliner and black lipstick. it took me a while to figure out her features, but I wanted to keep some elements of her original design after removing the monochromatic (xtale) element of the old one. she is also three inches taller than she was before.
vicky's weapon is an axe now instead of an enormous knife.
when ellie is using her powers, discolored veins similar to the ones on her cheeks should appear all over her body.
crystal just has guns now. since JR bans guns, the bullets are made of her own magic, which is a very convenient loophole. she should also have a pistol at her waist, but I neglected to include it. she does not have a brush anymore.
on the back of crystal's leather jacket is a spray paint-esque pair of angel wings. also, it's not visible, but there should be a JR pin on crystal's left sleeve.
blue is one inch shorter because funny.
both blue and ellie have glitch effects on their capes/scarves. where blue's scarf is glitching, the colors are a bit warmer.
arthur has armor under his cape. his wings can also now be procured at will. his cape has pretty much the same design as his old (cursed) jacket, with as much fluff as possible.
rather than just being yellow, arthur's color palette should be iridescent in nature. he should always have this imposing atmosphere of not being completely human, and his perceived youth should feel uncanny.
side note, these are in fact based directly on the poses from the 2020 refs!
I need to get out of the darn house I can’t anymore
“Oh she’s just a dog and you’re the only one who can handle her.” Ok so stop making her my problem everytime she’s being bad. She’s not even MY dog she’s the family’s you all can learn to live with her. That does not include shoving her in my room and shutting the door so she can’t get out without my knowledge or permission.
Ok so I said it in the tags of the Pilot Meeting fic, but I wanna put it here for good measure.
Pilot is 35 now, no matter the iteration at the moment. I think it’ll lead to good ideas, and also I makes more sense in my mind for a 35 year old to be a pilot in a military
What if og, crack timeline, and Torchsparks Pilot all met up? Why and how, who really cares at this point. I certainly don’t
What the fuck is going on?
Those were the only words running through Pilot’s mind. However, the issue at hand was which Pilot, as there were two more Pilots standing next to him. One still had wings but was definitely older than the other two, and the other didn’t have the wings Pilot had grown to hate. But that guy’s ears weren’t pointed and his hair was dyed pink instead of being naturally pink.
Somehow, they all ended up in the same place with no one else around. That was probably for the best, though. Pilot reasoned that Delta, his Delta at least, would be asking the other two way to many questions to be comfortable. Then again, from the way it sounded the alleged other Deltas would do the same. In fact, those three would probably having a ball together and ran off by now.
“What do you mean you two kidnapped your Delta?!” Said the older Pilot, clearly taken aback by the other two. Apparently he hadn’t, somehow.
“Ok look it was accident! We fixed it it’s fine!” Said the Pilot whose thought process the reader was currently reading.
“That doesn’t excuse it!” This poor guy. He hadn’t apparently adopted Delta instead of Mallard, back when he graduated. Lucky. “You shouldn’t be kidnapping children!”
“Look-“
“I’m sorry we can’t all have a happy life and just get to raise our kid normally.” Now the non-winged Pilot spoke up. He would be almost a mirror of Pilot without those damned wings, if it wasn’t for the fact that there were no crystals coming out of his skin. Did they not have light over there?
Wait, our kid?
That was wrong, Delta wasn’t his kid! They shouldn’t be at least, no matter what Delta or Mallard said. “Delta’s not my kid, I don’t think that’s how this works.”
The other two just stared at him like he had said the most insulting thing. The other Pilot with wings jaw dropped before he quickly pulled himself together. The other one just squinted, giving a look that Pilot knew full well was judgmental.
That was the issue with having multiples of yourself in the same room, you could always tell what the others were thinking just by looking at them.
“What? They aren’t, we probably should have never met in the first place.”
Unlit Pilot, the one with no visible light, rolled his eyes. Like he made a point of it. He then said, “Neither were me and mine, Del just so happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
Ok, so he definitely did something awful to his Delta.
“What in Radi’s name does that mean?” Older Pilot asked. He was clearly annoyed with the both of them. Unlit muttered “the hells a Radi” under his breath.
“Does it matter?”
“Yes!” Both Pilots with wings said. The older one continued with “At least this one-“ he pointed at thinking Pilot. “Didn’t want to kidnap a child!”
Delta would hit you for saying that. They hated being called a kid.
“Ok so they might have almost seen me and Pail kill a guy-“
“You’ve killed people?” Narrator Pilot said. The older one couldn’t even say anything.
Unlit rolled his eyes again. Narrator was getting sick of this guy. He was way too casual about this. The older Pilot, who Narrator has decided to call ‘Happy,’ looked as if he was going to kill Unlit.
“It’s not that big a deal. Don’t act like you haven’t done it.” Unlit huffed.
“I haven’t. I just flew planes.” Narrator said. “And that Pilot definitely hasn’t even done that.”
Happy looked offended for a moment before shaking his head. That meant Narrator was probably right. Despite being older, he must have been younger than both Narrator and Unlit when taking in his Delta and definitely didn’t get the chance to.
“But back to other issue. You killed someone in front of Delta?” Narrator was getting frustrated.
“No, he was already dead when I noticed Delta. And then Pail hide the body while I took Delta home.” Unlit rolled his eyes again. “Then they kept showing up in places they didn’t belong so I kept taking them home.”
“Are you part of a fucking gang.” It wasn’t even a question at this point. Narrator was starting to be thankful for the circumstances in which he met his Delta.
“Not a gang, crime syndicate-“
“So a gang? But you want to be pretentious about it?” Happy sneered. “You’re awful.”
“HeY-“ Narrator cut off Unlit before he could finish, slapping a hand over his mouth. Narrator felt something wet against his hand a pushed him away. “Did you just lick me?” He hoped that he sounded disgusted enough.
Happy shook his head again like he was in a multiplayer video game and had only unlocked one emote. “You’re like children, both of you.” He then turned around and walked off, waving as he did.
“Hey, where are you going?” Unlit ran off after him, leaving Narrator behind. He really didn’t want to be around either of them, Unlit scared him and Happy made him feel guilty for things he hadn’t done.
