I want the FMR gods to be niceies and friendly but I think I’d make them fightable in the hypothetical game. They’re totally optional and getting to them isn’t super easy but if you get strong enough and you ask some of them might come over for a brawl.

It’s not like ‘prove your power and worth’ it’s just ‘oh you wanna spar? Alright little man* let’s fuckin spar’

They’re way more difficult than every other boss in the game by far and there’s no reason to fight them except to say you did.

Geograus has very strict attack patterns that are easy to learn (if very difficult to dodge, and moderately hard-hitting), whereas Aerus just throws a bunch of random shit at you however they feel. Hydronus has the most distinct two phases because he flips intensity from ‘a calm pond on a summer day’ to ‘the raging ocean during a tropical storm.’ Aphotious has a lot of ‘trick’ attacks that they use kind of at random. Lumious is the easiest because they’re just here to have fun and don’t have much on the line so they kinda go easy on you. Thermaius also intends to go easy on you since it’s for fun but he gets all fired up (haha) after you get him to half health and then he’s going all-out

Arcanus would be the easiest fight to get to (once they’ve reached godhood, officially), and he would would sort of ‘learn’ from your fighting style, from the moment he’s created, to best challenge you. It’d probably have to be a thing where the ai (not generative ai. The programming that’s been used for enemy NPCs in games long before generative AI bullshit came out) chooses between defense/offensive and melee/ranged/magical fighting styles, as opposed to being perfectly tailored to the specific player because I’m sure that’s way too complicated. But she definitely does an input read where if you try to heal she goes ‘EAT FIREBALL LOL’ like the scrawny godskin guy from Elden Ring (noble? apostle? I forgot which)

If we make it to the moon moon then Devudu, Theós, and Unkulunkulu are also available to fight but they know less about you and aren’t too sure about throwing down with a mortal so it takes a lot more convincing. But Unkulunkulu is very unpredictable and tricky and by that metric alone would probably be the most difficult one to fight. Theós is definitely going super easy on you but she’s also blinding you and making it really difficult to see so you’re likely to just run into their attacks. Devudu is a lot like Geograus but the arena floor changes from rock to mud to knee-deep water and then laughs when you inevitably get tripped up. Like ‘hehehehe you thought I’d go easy on you didn’t you? Fool’

I just realized DC AU Delusion is going to be so annoyed with Percy and Somnus, because of all the people in Gotham City they could have fallen for, they fell for some of his most annoying Rogues.

Just imagining Percy getting tangled up in Byte’s plants midfight and he’s. he’s definitely normal this. He’s completely normal about it Freddy don’t look at him like that—

And then on the other side of the city there’s Somnus throwing himself at Gouge. She’s actually more capable than most of the thugs he’s fighting day-to-day, so he likes the challenge. And he usually winds up getting at least a small dose of fear toxin into his system, but he doesn’t seem all that upset once it’s clear and he calms down. Man wouldn’t it suck for Delusion if he learned that Somnus was actually studying the fear toxins firsthand and handing over the results to Gouge. Neither of them discussed this arrangement beforehand, they just Do It.

Also pinball but I have no idea Vida was created or what their situation is, other than most likely not with Gouge. There isn’t really a reason for Puzzle to take them unless Byte doesn’t want anything to do with them either and just. hands them over to the Local Orphan Collector (Delusion), who then proceeds to throw this baby at Puzzle for some reason. So they might be raised collectively by the Horror Squad. I’m sure that’s a very well adjusted lil guy with no criminal tendencies at all <33

Actually. Alternatively to Horror Squad raising them, maybe Gouge did give the kid to Byte, and she and the Horror Squad decide they’re not responsible enough to handle this little guy, and just. offer them to Red Hood next time he shows up to chat about supplies/get intel for his crime-fighting. Just

“Uh. Hey this is kind of sudden but do you know anywhere we could give a kid to? like, a good place to give a kid to. because we don’t want to screw him over, but also we are going to if we keep him. and if we try to drop him off, people are probably going to recognize us— or at least Byte and Slash— and just scream and run before we can explain. plus, you seem like a nice guy and we trust you to find a half-decent place for him. "

And Puzzle just stares at them blankly (through his helmet, so no one can see the full horror and confusion of when the fuck did these guys get a baby) for a solid five minutes before he just goes “I’ll take him.”

“…Okay, but just to be clear you do not have to keep him—"

“Nope. My baby now. No takesies-backsies.”

Okay maybe it wouldn’t go down exactly like that. but that’s the heavily paraphrased conversation.

I hear your “wouldn’t it suck if delusion found out Somnus was helping gouge learn more about her fear toxins” and raise you “delusion finds out about that + realizes that something Not Fully Platonic is happening at the same time when he and Somnus are out, run into Gouge, and she awkwardly thanks Somnus for helping and he goes ‘o-oh! It was- I mean, you’re welcome.’ while blushing furiously. gouge meant to say something a while ago, but she didn't know how to make it not awkward, and now she's talked to him like a dozen time without saying 'thank you' and she was starting to kinda feel bad so she just blurted it out, and somnus wasn't expecting her to ever say it at all because she was always so absorbed in what she was doing and he didn't really think much of it anyways, and-

and delusion is staring at his son in silence like "You have got to be fucking kidding???"

also for some reason my brain just gave me a mental image where puzzle found gouge and byte talking about this baby one of them is holding, hearing 'i can't take him' - 'girl neither can i??????', and just appeared out of nowhere like 'i'll take him.'

Delusion staring at Somnus in confusion and frustration. He could sort of understand Somnus accidentally getting a dose of fear toxin (not all of Gouge’s airborne varieties are easily detectable, and if he gets caught in it it’s hard to get back out when you are actively hallucinating your own personal hell) but c’mon, you’re doing that to yourself on purpose?!

I’m imagining him somewhere between pissed off that Somnus is helping Gouge make everyone’s lives worse and mildly impressed at his dedication to the bit, to the point where he will take the “face all of your worst fears at once” toxin on purpose. The lengths people go for love smh smh (silly)

Also wouldn’t it be fun if Somnus was actually somewhat resistant to fear toxin purely because of how much Gouge tests it on him. He claims this was his plan all along (“now if she tries anything against Gotham, I can get that much closer, last that much longer in a fight!”), but he’s as surprised by it as anyone else.

Delusion’s going to strangle his idiot child.

Also Puzzle just going to Byte and Gouge and deciding that’s now his child is hilarious. He heard exactly one sentence each of how they can’t have the child and just spawned in to solve their problems.

Idk if you can adopt someone as a sibling though. So either he didnt legally adopt them and they’re just existing (more likely) or he went to Delusion to ask him to adopt Puzzle another little sibling (funny)

In a crazy timeline Puzzle actually adopts Vida as his child and Delusion becomes a grandfather. The old man jokes never end now.

alternatively, if he's feeling uncharacteristically mischievous and perhaps a bit spiteful, Puzzle could forge delusion's handwriting on the adoption papers so that legally delusion did get another child even though he never met Vida and doesn't even know they exist yet

Yeah no this is fine. I’m sure he’s fine. Don’t worry about it. On the plus side the mind-control spores I’m pretty sure Ivy can create probably aren’t as effective on him anymore (well. Maybe a plus in a fight)

Also also important question: is Gouge exclusively grabbing Red Robin (Somnus in Hero Mode) or does she yoink his civilian persona as well. Unclear whether he told her who he is, or if she figured it out. Somnus is not complaining about more Gouge time so as long as she isn’t doxxing him he’s fine.

Somnus (in civilian mode) just disappears for hours and no one knows where he is. Delusion’s convinced he got abducted and is going to either have a breakdown or go get suited up and beat people until he gets an answer when Somnus shows back up. He looks a little more disheveled than normal, but he insists he’s fine, and when Delusion drags him to a doctor they can’t find anything wrong (Gouge doesn’t send him back until she’s sure the toxin’s out. Both to cover her ass on the kidnapping and to make sure he doesn’t trigger some last-minute side effect and get himself killed or something).

Actually this might just look like he has a partner he hasn’t introduced to the family yet. But when Delusion asks about it he gets weirdly evasive. And the disappearances get less frequent for a while. He keeps insisting it’s fine and there’s nothing bad going on though.

Aaand then Delusion figures it out.

I would love to see this movie or story. A creepy looking android that gained sentience and on the run decides to adopt this weird tiny abandoned android which is a haunted doll. They have some cute adventures where the android is all protective and caring to their new friend in their own way and the doll is trying to teach this giant doll how to use his ghost powers in that body and murdering people who pose a threat to them. Maybe complaining about how technologically advanced has changed the world so much and how they feel lost in it despite being here for so long. At best the android thinks the doll is talking about becoming obsolite, and at worst (but funnier) they think the doll is saying how they are literally lost and tells them they have gps so they can take them to where they want to go and the doll is just like this dumb new haunted doll…I gotta protect and nurture it before it dies from it’s naivette. Meanwhile an excorsist and some retrieval squad are tracking them down and they argue about what they’re going up against. Most of the retrieval squad don’t believe in the supernatural and thinks they found another defective android and the excorsist doesn’t understand technology that great so just assumes he’s dealing with two possessed items.

Okay I should be going to bed (and will as soon as this post is out of the brain) but I randomly had the Thought of the lab tracking down Puzzle a little early. So that he (possibly Laura and Vida too. Depends on how early they find him) is still with Hunter when they find him.

And all I can imagine is two possible outcomes

Hunter being gone at the time for an errand or something and coming back to his child(ren) gone, possibly with sign of a struggle but nothing that can point him in the right direction. Cue a breakdown as he tries to figure out where his babies went (unlikely he’ll find them. If the lab thought they were careful before, they’ve definitely beefed up security after the kids ran. More than enough to deal with the kids trying to escape again, or a singular Hunter trying to get in)

Or

The lab breaks into Hunter’s house and manages to get control masks on the kids (mostly Puzzle is important here; the other two is mostly just to keep them quiet. Alternatively, Laura and Vida are unconscious), then Hunter walks in the door to his house in disarray and these weirdo people clearly hurting his kiddos. The lab people order Puzzle to attack Hunter with them. And with the mask on, he’s not even fully recognizing what he’s doing, who he’s doing it to.

Either this was a spur-of-the-moment thing because the people on the op didn’t expect Hunter to come home and just decided it was better to use all their assets rather than just have Puzzle stand menacingly in the corner, or they planned this to really drive home to the kids what happens when they try to run, when they dare to think that they can step beyond what they were made for.

Puzzle would be so fucked up after this. Hunter was a great guy (debatable. But better than the lab people) that only had their best interests at heart. And now he’s gone, and it’s all Puzzle’s fault.

Good news WhisperingClan has a med cat apprentice. And he got an accessory (snapdragons), which makes him look like he’s bleeding out if you’re not expecting it/looking at it as flowers (at least to me)

Bad news, one of the lil kits got sick. And he’s my favorite purely because his name is Wigglekit. We love Wigglekit. We would kill for Wigglekit.

OH YEAH also the game specifically says StarClan spoke to Snowypaw and chose him.

I rolled a random number generator to decide which of the kits was a child of the StarClan guide, for extra drama. It was not Snowypaw, but Robinpaw (who looks a little more like Ryemask anyway)

Imagine your mom showed up in one of your friends’ dreams and told him he was like. the most important child of all the children in the Clan (for now, until we get a deputy or leader)

*proceeds to make a Clan where leaders only get one life, deputies are more likely to murder those leaders, litters are more likely but also more likely to be small, and there’s barely any food to be hunted. also all the founders are children*

I mean the five moon old kits (about 4 out of 10) are probably like. cat teens. But still, why are they known of enough for the other Clans to have Opinions but not known enough for the kits to be retrieved.

Oh god wait Puzzle wouldn’t be able to take Gears with him when he died in the DC AU. Because even if he thought he could take Joker by himself, there’s no way he’s just going to take his precious cat into danger with him! That’s crazy! And Hunter probably never even knew he had her, so he wouldn’t have tried to get his hands on her either. Also also Puzzle not remembering anything means he wouldn’t have even thought to ask about her.

Delusion and everyone at the manor taking care of this cat, who probably spent a few weeks bare minimum being absolutely miserable because she’s searching all over the house and her human is nowhere to be found. Sure, there’s a lot of humans still, but none of them are her human.

Everyone’s heartbroken for her (well. except Somnus. who's probably happy the cat stopped chasing him around for attention. but we aren't counting him here shhh) but they can’t fix anything. Her human’s gone, he’s never coming back, and they have no way to tell her that.

Now imagine Puzzle coming back to the manor for the first time since he died, older, taller, more tired than he ever was. He’s watching the building like it’s a trap, ready to bolt.

Then he sees a familiar lump of fur, that moves when he calls to her. Dropping to his knees and ever so carefully holding his hands out, because he doesn’t even know if she’ll remember him. He expects her not to; it’s been over ten years, and she’s had most of her life to forget all about him.

But she just climbs right into his lap like she never left and starts purring up a storm.

And that’s how Puzzle’s first visit back to the manor led to him crying on the floor, petting his cat.

in the FMR video game you can unlock an option to play as Sunny specifically and you have to convince Delusion and Pluto to adopt you and your 20 siblings. Then you learn how to navigate palace life only for the coup to happen and you run

Because his siblings don’t want to fight him, either, and if the Phrikeh guards recognize him they won’t really want to, either. Because yes, Byte wants to bring him back, but it’s mostly Pluto and Delusion who want him back and they want him back safe, so there’s a chance Sunny can talk his way out of being dragged to the palace when he arrives. Or he can go quietly if you’re ready to face the palace and you don’t want to explore first.

Most of his mode is navigating the town he grew up in and how it’s changed, talking your way out of trouble, and figuring out how to end this without hurting his family. No idea what the end result would be though

maybe Bernardo can take over. They’re the oldest sibling so they’d technically have a claim to the throne, and I’d trust them more than most of their siblings. And I’m not sure the others that I would trust would even want to. I’m not sure Bernardo would either for that matter but theoretically it being one of Delusion’s kids should silence most objections from him, and it not being one of the Mini-Delusions (Somnus or Percy) who’d do exactly what Delusion would should satisfy Pluto and Byte to some degree.

Of course, having never really met Bernardo before, there’d definitely be objections. Possibly extremely valid ones, as I’m not sure what experience Bernardo would have with Royal politicking and ruling, but Byte didn’t have experience either so the horror squad at least isn’t allowed to complain

I have acquired a game called Megaquarium where your only goal is building and managing an aquarium (well. Various aquariums) and can someone tell me why Plusion kids are throwing themselves into it.

Sunny is still a vet. He’s just like. A fish vet now.

Also Somnus touched a fish one (1) time and hated it so much. He hides in the back office and does paperwork, because fuck no he’s not touching those slimy bastards.

Freddy definitely never threatens him with Fish Handling when he’s being a stick in the mud. No sir why would you think that.

The sole reason anything is running smoothly at all is Puzzle, who does maintenance on all the tanks and shit. And tells his sibbies to knock it off when they start fighting/doing stupid shit (like he never contributes to the chaos. Which he does. Just not in a damaging manner)

Why does this make me imagine Percy being dragged out to deal with Karens who are upset the fish are hiding in the tank decor. And he’s just so obviously pissed off it’s not even funny. Yes, the fish will go into the little cave where you can’t see them as well. It’s almost like that’s why it’s there.

Also imagine Vida being the Guinea pig for the kids’ area. They just set some stuff up and let Vida loose. Alternatively, they follow Puzzle around throughout his tasks and hand him his tools as he needs them. They might be too small to carry the whole toolbox but they damn well try. And he immediately takes it away because they’re going to hurt themselves in the attempt but he appreciates the effort.

in the FMR video game you can unlock an option to play as Sunny specifically and you have to convince Delusion and Pluto to adopt you and your 20 siblings. Then you learn how to navigate palace life only for the coup to happen and you run
