"Ain't nobody got time for this mopin' around shit, boy! Get offa your spiky-haired ass and go on a mission with me. For ol' times sake," Barret bellowed at Cloud, clamping his hand against the shorter man's neck as he laughed.
Shades of convivial light and obstinate reds were what the man wore on his face and body in abundance. In one point, he could be merrier than the lot of them, enlightened and hyped to a degree that infused them all with courage. It was always something that Cloud had admired himself. Over the course of two years since their grand journey ended, he had become jollier by the day, moving forward in life like a bull without gas. Yet another thing that Cloud admired–and was ultimately envious of, in return.
❝…A mission?❞ Muttered in a partially breathy response, what with the large hand smacked against the back of his neck having startled him seconds prior. An eyebrow was raised towards the taller man as the warrior turned in his seat, moving away the palm against his body. ❝Last time I checked, Shinra’s been destroyed. All of our missions were dedicated to saving the planet… and it seems fine these days.❞ More of a wish than simple fact, knowing full well that the brief time in which their world was safe was like waiting for the last leaf of fall–simply inevitable until it fell away.
But the blonde managed a faint smirk to blossom, the right portion of his lips upturned as he folded his arms across his torso, looking up at his friend with an amused expression. ❝But I know I don’t got any say in the matter. So… what do you have?❞
