Kohana pressed a hand against her chest, frowning slightly. Her brother always did these stupid disappearing acts whenever she was supposed to be babysitting. She was annoyed, but couldn’t help feeling concerned too.

“He’s my brother, he ran off, and I can’t find him.”

Kohana turned with a smile to the stranger at the door, stepping forward and offering a polite bow. Her sensei had stepped out for a moment, leaving her in momentary charge, which she took very seriously.

Kohana wouldn’t really consider herself to be someone who was easily impressed, but.. that had been pretty freaking amazing! She probably shouldn’t have seen what she seen, either, but that didn’t stop her from calling out in excitement.

Lost. She was actually lost -- fantastic, oh, Benny would have really gotten a kick out of this. Kohana pursed her lips unhappily, shaking her phone in frustration. Of all the times for it to go on the fritz, it just HAD to be now. Well, at least she wasn’t alone.. wherever she was. A helping hand or friendly face would be really great.

“Hi -- Sorry, my phone died on me, can you tell me where I am? I’m starting to think I got on the wrong bus.”

Kohana had quite possibly had the worst day at work. Things hadn’t really gone her way, and that alone, was frustrating. The past had come back to bite her, (as it often did with the company) when a client had brought up her family’s chequered past. A dash of intimidation, a threatening voice and a glare soon cut the subject off before it could really begin, but it still annoyed her. Not to mention, as soon as she’d walked into the house. her mother had accosted her, telling her that something wonderful had happened, that she needed to think of the positives and not lose her temper.

Sighing as Aiko steered her into the lounge, Kohana folded her arms expectantly, and glanced upwards, only to freeze at the sight of her father. Her breath caught, her fingers curled into fists, and she could feel her anger beginning to rise. Kohana was.. quick on the uptake, and she had a pretty good idea of what was going on right now, but still, her voice was quiet when she spoke, and laced with venom.

“What the fuck are you doing here? I thought you were dead.”

Study tip:

Use 2 notebooks when taking notes: one for in class and one for copying the notes at home. The one in class, make it messy with add-ins, subtext, etc etc! Take down as much info as you can. Then, after class, take those messy, hard-to-read notes and re-copy them into your home notebook. These are the ones you study off of so make them neat and clear to understand!
