Murderer! Stop!! Bring them back!!! Get away!!
Why did you kill me, Zethia?
" - are you alright? "
" - Ahhh! "
A sharp exclamation escapes that awakened auspex - notably a good bit after narrowly avoiding a harsh landing on the uncaring ground below. Uneasy exhales escape her for a moment as consciousness properly sets upon her.
" ... Mmm- nn... Hm? "
Awakened cerulean eyes gaze upon the lilac hues meeting her's. It fortunately didn't take more than a rude awakening from a far crueler sleep for her to realize there was company. Of a face that was quite close, at that... squarely upon her, clearly speaking to company that had her at the forefront of her attention, in this moment.
" I-I... hello, wh-who, where, I...? "
No, words did not wish to work with her this day - or at least this moment, attempts at dialogue fading off in her newly-awakened daze. A while... gracious, did it seem so. The pressing force of the sun above her gaze eased only by the silver haired woman before her, disoriented legs unable to push her free of what she felt were arms beneath her, an unfamiliar feeling of mismatched mana set in her body; she needed a few more moments than she was allowing herself, it seemed.
But at least she was awake... preferable only insomuch as it compared to the pleas that wracked her imaginary senses for some time before, perhaps, but preferable all the same.
That shout was… Concerning, to say the least. And familiar; very similar indeed to a sound she’d heard many times in her childhood home. Lilac eyes scanned the woman once more, ensuring she was uninjured she breathed in short, laboured breaths, and confirming that whatever was going on with her wasn’t caused by a physical injury that needed to be treated immediately.
Finally, she spoke, and Mizuki found herself smiling, quite glad that she could understand her, even if her speech, so far, was rather stilted. It was to be expected considering she’d just woken, anyway. “Don’t worry, you’re safe. Here—” She shifted her weight, gently lowering the woman’s feet to the ground but keeping a hand, firm yet gentle, on her back to support her if she couldn’t support herself just yet. She reached out, back towards the motorcycle she’d rented and her jacket shot up and into her hand, propelled by the small bottle of water she kept in one pocket. She took the time to shake the bottle free and then folded the jacket with one hand to form some form of cushioning against the rocky ground, and then tossed it behind the woman before gently lowering her upon it. “Let’s rest for a minute, shall we? I have water, if you need it.”
Mizuki sat across from her then, cross-legged, and continued, “To answer your questions… We’re near Caravelí, in Peru, which is on the planet Earth… A variant of what the Time-Space Administration Bureau classifies as their 97th non-administrated world, if that means anything to you. My name is Mizuki; my teacher sent me out here to investigate a strange magical anomaly, and… Well, you popped out of it! So I’m just as confused as you are, really.”

Item: a bouquet of flowers
Give my muse an item and see how they react!
Mizuki chuckles softly as she reaches out to take the flowers. "It's been a while since I've been given flowers... It feels like it's usually me doing the giving."
"Thanks, Anon. Really."
The sound of snow crunching could be heard as someone landed nearby as if they were in the air. A pair of purple glowing eyes could be seen in the dark watching the other as they dispatched the demon. "Hmmm, so there are those around here too...." The owner of the eyes thought as she continued to watch quietly. Taking a few steps closer, she winced as she stepped on a twig alerting the other. Once the ball of light was formed, it's shine would reflect off her eyes as she walked more into sight. "Sorry if I startled you. I was nearby when I heard you out here. And I happened to have seen what you did just now." Looking to the sky for a moment, the wolf squinted at the look of the clouds in the sky. "We can talk more at the place I'm staying in around here. It looks like it's about to snow."
Mizuki relaxes as the other figure comes into sight. It was clear from her body language and the lack of weapons on her person that she wasn’t looking for a fight… Though, judging by those lupine ears, Mizuki was pretty sure she didn’t necessarily need a weapon to fight…
But that was fine. Mizuki wasn’t one to judge someone for something they couldn’t control… And she wasn’t exactly human herself, anyway.
She glances back at the disturbed snow where she’d banished the demon, carefully modulating the light of her spell to avoid harming the other woman’s presumably-more-sensitive eyes. “Sorry if I disturbed you! Just… Taking care of a little work, you know?” She pauses when the other woman suggests returning to her home, but acquiesces after a second— She knew there could be some danger in it, but she figured she was more than prepared to deal with that if need be.
“Yeah, you're right. My magic keeps me warm, but... Probably better to get to shelter sooner rather than later, right? I'll follow you." Her boots crunch through the undisturbed snow as she approaches the other woman, and she speaks after a second. "I've got to say, I'm surprised— I didn't get the sense that anyone was living out here."
My muse is now a guest in a talk show
Send 🎤 + a question and my muse will answer it while still on camera
🗣+ Mizuki and Miyoko
Send me 🗣+ the names of 2 muses on the blog, and there will be a random conversation written involving them.
Two Devices connect from across dimensions, and Miyoko smiles brightly as a magical screen pops up in front of her to show her half-sister's face.
"Hey, Miyo!"
"Mizucchi! How are you?"
"I'm good! A little tired; I landed in Salt Lake City in the U.S. an hour ago."
"Eh? What're you doing in America?"
"Oh, Negi-senpai asked me to meet with the magical community leaders here! It was going to be him and Ayaka-san, but I guess something came up in Ariadne that he had to deal with..? So he sent me in his place."
"Then, the Blue Mars Project..?"
"We're so close, Miyo. We've only got to get a few more magic associations and governments on board, and tweak the magic holding it a bit more, and then we'll finally be done with this... Well, actually, I've heard a few rumors from Setsuna-san that there's something else going on that we might need to deal with first, but that's not important right now-"
"More importantly, how are things on your end? That mission mom sent you on hasn't given you too much trouble, has it?"
"Mm... Not really? It's been quiet here the past few months... This is a really weird timeline, though. And it's not just Simonia-chan and her friends... There's something else going on here, I just know it! But Polaris and I haven't been able to figure it out yet... The magical readings are a bit off, but we can't track down the cause."
"Huh... You know, if you want, I could come by--"
"No! No... We can do this by ourselves, Mizucchi. I'll get to the bottom of this, and I'll work with the people here to fix whatever's going on... You don't need to get involved."
"Well... Alright. If you're so sure, I'll trust in you."
"...Thank you. Besides, it's not so bad here, you know~? While we're waiting, I got a job at this florists', and..."
The two would continue to talk about the recent events lives in their lives for an hour more before they finally hung up; and after doing so Mizuki flopped down onto her hotel bed and stared up at the ceiling for a few minutes.
"Miyo's really changed in the past few years, hasn't she... But I guess we all have."
@moonlitsorceress
Snowflakes dance through the forest as the mage chases down her target. The two fly, weaving through the trees at a frankly remarkable pace... But Mizuki gains on the demon slowly, inexorably, until she's close enough to put her plan into motion.
As the demon passes between two trees growing close together, the snow in the area around the trees suddenly pool together and form into a thick sheet of ice— Not enough to stop the demon entirely, but enough to cause it to falter and eventually crash to the forest floor, and Mizuki is upon it when it does, stepping firmly onto the demon's chest, holding one hand out, as it swipes futilely at her legs. Its claws slash through her Barrier Jacket and leave long, deep gashes in her flesh, but they knit themselves together almost instantly, and she chants under her breath for a moment, before with a flash of lilac light, the demon is sent hurtling back to its home dimension.
She steps back, then, heaving a sigh of relief and looking to the sky. A cool evening, with the full moon on the cusp of rising. It was beautiful, out here in the wilderness.
"Well, I'm glad I got that done before too late..!", she exclaims as she stretches. "Maybe I'll stick around a bit, see the stars for a bit before I--" Her muttering is cut off as she hears the snap of a twig in the distance; not something a simple deer would be too likely to do.
"Lux!", she evokes, and at her command a bright ball of light appears in her hand.
"Hello? Is there anybody out there?"

Have some Mizukis (featuring Eva, Kanon) because I realize I've never posted her Koi model
"Master! You called?"
Mizuki walked into her teacher's office in a certain pocket dimension with a bright smile- One that only widened as the vampire grins in turn.
"That's right. I've got a job for you, girl."
Evangeline stood, half-sitting on her desk as she continued, "We've got news about a magical anomaly. It started about 36 hours ago- Some invisible force giving off a lot of magical energy and scaring away the wildlife- I want you to look into it."
"Oh, like... What, some kind of leyline? A font of magical energy?"
"I don't have much more than that to work on- Which is why I'm sending you. Karin's still in Palestine, that book is in Megalomesembria, and as you know, Tempesta's busy. You're the only one I can count on to come back in one piece if things go sideways."
"...Heh." Mizuki chuckled slightly under her breath- It might have seemed like faint praise to some, but she knew her master didn't trust easily- The fact that she was saying something like that openly really did speak volumes about the trust Evangeline placed in her. "Alright, I'll do it! Where am I headed?"
The vampire leaned over and tapped one sharpened fingernail against the enter key of her keyboard with a sharp clack as she spoke, "I've just sent you the exact co-ordinates- And, as you know, we'll cover any expenses. You're off to-"
Caravelí, Peru
A 20 hour flight, 12 hour drive, and a modest amount of regret about not just teleporting later, Mizuki finally reached her destination, cresting the peak of India Vieja and taking a deep breath. Their sources were definitely right; she could feel the mana permeating the area deep in her bones, and the unnatural quiet further pointed to the wildlife being disturbed by the unusual magical presence.
So, she got to work- First recording the amount of mana coming off of whatever this anomaly was, noting the complex magical signature it held and the differences between it and the magic of her own world. "It's definitely not from here," she mutters to herself, "And it seems like some kind of pocket dimension..." She quickly wrote up her findings and sent them over to her master, before stepping forward, holding her hand out towards what seemed to be the centre of the magical disturbance, and whispering to herself. "Well, here goes nothing..."
She focused magic energy into her hand and through it into the source, weaving magic together to open the dimension... And, after a moment, there was a bright flash of light as the unstable pocket dimension collapsed and a woman fell from it.
"Woah!", Mizuki shouted, reaching out almost on instinct to catch her before she hit the stony ground- And once she had the other woman cradled in her arms, Mizuki took a quick second to look her over. She didn't seem to be injured in any way, which was good! But her outfit definitely suggested she wasn't from around her... And, even at a glance, Mizuki could tell she was something special-- She had among the most amount of mana in her she'd ever seen.
Finally, as the other woman woke in her arms, Mizuki gave a soft, concerned smile. She had a lot of questions, but she knew well it wasn't time for that just yet.
"Hey, are you alright? Seems like you might have been out of it for... a while."
@celestialprayer
Amusingly enough I did canonize a While Back that Mizuki speaks English with a bit of an Australian accent
@filiasusceptor
...This was bad.
It was a scenario Yuko had... honestly never seen, before. She'd stepped in to stop some shadowy figure from hurting someone, but where she thought she'd get a better look at them in the lights of this abandoned parking lot, it was just... a shadowy, human-like shape, shrouded in some kind of dark mist. But it was very real, real enough to be able to keep up with her on a physical level.
The kicker? None of her attacks seemed to do a damn thing to it.
She needed a way out of this situation, or figure out how to actually hurt it. It didn't respond to her when she tried talking, and it didn't seem to be getting tired, like her. At this rate, she'd slip up just enough... and she'd be dead.
But Yuko was in luck. Unbeknownst to her, an old familiar face was approaching, ready to save the day - and her life...
She struck like a bolt of lightning.
A burst of lilac mana, sudden and intense, slammed into the shadowy creature and the asphalt underneath with a speed that eclipsed that of a bullet, almost certainly enough raw magical force to vaporize it-- And leave a large crater in the surface of the parking lot, as well. Whoops!
After a moment, the spent mana reformed, forming a large sphere before shifting into a feminine humanoid figure, about ⅔ of a foot taller than Yuko… Before, finally, coalescing into a fully physical and rather familiar form.
Mizuki’s eyes scanned the ground for a moment longer, ensuring that Shadow Servant was, in fact, entirely dealt with, before she turned to face the other girl, her white-and-black Barrier Jacket flowing about her with her movement. She couldn’t help but smile upon seeing the other woman, but there’s no small measure of guilt in her eyes, either…
“Hey, Yuko. Been a while, huh?”
