I've tried to keep this page almost entirely to original content. Making that content takes long enough to do-- for me with little enough time to do it-- that I rarely post at all. I wonder whether I should loosen up and make this blog a little more like a personal blog than a strict gathering of what finished pony pieces I cobble together. The problem is that there's not much value to all of that filler, at least to someone who isn't duped into thinking anyone truly cares what my tastes and interests are. Lots of tumblr users with that delusion. Thoughts?

Notice: I'm going to stop offering commissions indefinitely.

When I'm not at my job, I try to make time for commissions, personal illustrations, studying, and taking care of my home (and I somehow have to start adding more to my schedule).

Despite never taking time off from this routine, I can't keep up. The first thing I worry about when I'm off work is my commissions, yet they take so much longer than I intend them to. I don't know why. Perhaps I'm more burnt-out than I realize.  At any rate, I'm tired of freaking out about them and always being so apologetic to my buyers.

People waiting on me to finish their pieces, don't take this as quitting. I'm going to finish your lot, and then I'm going to stop taking jobs. I'll still be making ponies, and I'll make those available for purchase.

I was working on sketching for a Chrysalis piece and it didn't work out, so I made this one normal. The next drawing of her will be a lot different. What good is the name Chrysalis if she doesn't undergo some changes now and then?

Thank you! I never cared to do dark things with ponies at first because drawing ponies started as a way to blow off steam from all the dark things in the rest of my life, personally and artistically. They’re admittedly fairly saturated in that department.Now, however, I’m quite content to keep going more in this direction.

I want to tell you all a little story

...since I won't have more pony offerings for a couple of days.  About two years ago, I was meeting my little brother (about 17 at the time) and my mother, who noticed how worn-out my shoes were. She mentioned that I ought to get new ones, and my brother suggested sneakers. My wardrobe is feminine, so I told him that those wouldn't really work for me. And the child called me a "cog in the machine". 17 years old and going through that "baby's first counterculture" phase that warrants calling me a fucking cog in the machine. This will forever be one of the most precious, hilarious things I've ever heard.
