When handmade tile makers do not support each other, but instead are lured to copy a tile exactly for a project we all lose. This was an unfortunate copy of a gorgeous encaustic tile that was specified for a commercial project. The pattern was replicated as an atrocious hand-painted tile. Every aspect was copied without any hesitation.

If US makers do not support each other how do we stand a chance against foreign knock-offs?

Stand up for the original!
