Applications and properties of stainless steel
304 Stainless steel sheet is a cost effective one due to its stability, corrosive resistance properties. It is non-magnetic and it is available in different type of finishes such as 2B mill finish, brush finish and mirror finish.
Among the different types stainless steel grades, 304 and 316 grades are popularly used in several applications. 304 stainless steel sheet are perfectly used in some applications where corrosive resistance and sanitation is critical. Due to the corrosive resistance property, stainless steel sheet is used in storage tanks because the workers can store the juice or any liquid products into stainless steel tanks and vessels. It is also important to note that the stainless steel need not be coated or else polished frequently and it is easy to clean the tools.
Stainless steel are used in several applications due to its non corrosive ability, less maintenance, and it is also used for everyday applications and commercial needs. There are normally 140 grade types of stainless steel, however only 15 grade types are commonly used in many applications.
The main purpose of using stainless steel sheet is that this metal can be transformed into several forms such as coils, plates, tubes, bars, wires and so on. The reason of using this metal is due to the wide range of applications, thickness and durability. Some of the applications of 304 stainless steel sheet are automotive coaters, construction tools, building equipments, medical instruments, and cookware and so on.
Stainless steel sheet does not rust when it is subjected to moisture and chemicals in its locality. It is not necessary to paint or finish since it does not discolor easily. It is easy to clean the stainless steel sheets and do not pick up odors easily.
