One second is all it takes.
For me to calm down in your presence.
You being there is all i need.
It’s all i require.
It’s all i deserve.
You are the woman that would invade my peaceful dreams. Your whisper echoes true my mind, my memory, my believes, my trauma’s. But in the end my eyes would open and id be staring at the ceiling of reality.
The snow white fields where you would rhythmically dance with the pine threes.
A top the bell tower where id hold your body close to me. While i whispered of a future that was a dream and at the same time could be.
The coffee shop at the corner where each day we would meet but only in a passing fleeting gaze.
The dinning table where our laughter would mix. And nobody could tell who was laughing the loudest.
The empty ballroom, where you and i share a dance in silence. Where the world could not see. Where we softly swayed silently.
Your eyes telling stories only i would be privileged to.
My voice cracking up in your presence. Which only you could ever notice.
Only silence would know our truth. A simple gesture would be our own silent language. Where no one would have the rights to know whats being spoken.
My fears would retract like the flood within just your silent presence.
Your worries ebbing away after a long and hard day. With just my tender embrace.
What i seek at times seems more like a fairytale in this day and age. A dream that could never be real. Words written on a paper, beautiful in their combination but nothing more than just that.
I preserve my own will, and so do you. Our current pulls us apart in to our own unrelenting river. Forcing us to drift in the same direction but alongside one another not in the same river. Just in the same direction. Until one of us eventually start drifting further and further to the east while the other keeps going north.
Is that the fate of our connections? To eventually drift apart? Does true love only exist in a fairy tale? Am i delusional for wanting what can never be within my reach? To seek what shall never be found? Is that the pretense of my own lonesome existence.
Still even if that may be so. I will look for you, in every picture, on every dark and bright corner of the street, in every small cafe, in every beautiful and dark forest. Is it not in my capabilities to give up this hopeless search? No it’s not. That would be betraying my self my thoughts my happy illusions. A man without their dreams… is a broken man.
Id never want to be broken, even if in silence i am. So il go on with the hopeful resolve that maybe tomorrow is the day we shall meet. And our chapter finds its wholesome beginning.
