A boy once a targeted by bullies. Being chased, teased, followed to your own home with cruel remarks being thrown at your back, head shoved inside a toilet, shoved into a locker, and all you can do is shove the pain away, hold in your anger and pretend tomorrow will be better. Karate saved his life, along with his sensei Johnny. Without Karate, and without his Sensei who knows where he would be right now ? Miguel taking in karate, pushing himself more and more each day to prove to his sensei, and all those around him that he isn’t weak, that he isn’t a nobody. He is Miguel Diaz, and if he can do it anyone else who is getting picked on can do it. He struggled with his own demons, until he found balance and realize.... mercy isn’t for a weak and you don’t have to destroy someone to prove a point, be better... become better. Remember who you were before you found karate, remember that boy, and remember why you are here. A fighter who can show mercy, a fighter who can stand his ground... he has found his strength within all the fire.
