Like 3 times now i've seen people flag sulinda as a male centered ship and it makes me laugh every time like oh shittt, the tension that happens in adultery does actually warrant conversation about...the husband! (gets shot down by yuri police)
but like truthfully Sulinda is a really interesting and layered dynamic if you're as pilled as me about certain things in the walten files. It concerns bascially every major theme of series (relationships under stress, personal freedom & autonomy, a doomed fate and the ripple effect personal relations have through brighton) and every time martin brings it up hes soft launching it as canon because of that LOL
I wrote a whole fanfiction about like the weird, interpersonal drama that it implies in that terse, small-town way. Not that i consider it hard canon or my fanfiction to be The Truth. I find Linda fascinating from her brief appearance in bunnyfarm - a series of diary entries of this girl swept into a marriage and then sitting there while it falls apart. She seriously might be the only person who was this close to Bon's Burgers and got out unscathed..... untapped potential in here
More drip-fed Sophie from Eva’s Bluesky (Don’t know why they killed him on the right)
— Could be the blood on the right just overlapping but it looks like Sophie is grimacing away from a blood splatter on her face? Probably nothing.
My friends and myself jokingly do this exact kind of shit with Sophie (covering him in blood and treating him with violence) so I Understand this. He compels this sort of energy towards himself somehow
Drawings of little baby teenager sophie also give me genuine cuteness aggression its a problem. so I understand this from that perspective as well. If I was working on the walten files I would also post out of context screenshots of the Sophie puppet I was illustrating covered in blood
"Happy 2 year anniversary for TWF 4, we are hard at work with this waltenous team and weve already fully finished 3 scenes since we got started around 10 days ago, were loving how its all shaping up, ofc as we go itll get harder and slower but were working wonderfully as a team"

Do you think “Bon” himself would actually enjoy horror movies and the medium in general? If so, are there any particular horror characters that you think he would find aspirational and/or characters that you think share similar traits with him? (This can be either canon info or your own ideas, this is just a junk question i’m interested in hearing a second opinion of.)
I think this question is a REALLY fun hypothetical but I'm honestly really struggling to come up with any sort real answer to it. I like that it draws like an implicit comparison between Bon and Sophie, though... I've always liked the thought that one of the things Sophie most appreciates about horror is the sheer viscerality of it... and that she in part seeks it out as sort of a power fantasy. I think it'd be fun if Bon approached horror from maybe a similar place.
I think there's an extent to which he's genuinely similar to a character like Pinhead but only in very literal ways... and Bon is more of an individually motivated Person rather than a narrative force personified like Pinhead very much is (I know they turn Pinhead into more of A Guy starting from the second movie onwards but I've only seen the first two Hellraiser films because the concept of that like profoundly disinterests me...sory....) and in comparison Bon is quite childish and emotional.
My friend @findjackwalten always has like really good ideas/interesting insight when it comes to questions like this so I genuinely kinda wanna hand this one off to him since I think his answers will be more compelling than mine....
i think this question is unique because of the tonal dissonance...bon has genuinely 0 connections to horror both in his probably human lifetime (a period pre-horror, that is to say 'classic horror' begun either too late into his life for him to be interested or they did not cross eras at all) and as The Rabbit. As Bon the Dancing Rabbit, Bon has no concept of horror nor any horror tropes that he is doing unto his victims; it's too warped by his own perception along with his definate lack of an idea of horror; this is reality for him, the process that is bloody and gory in the way only the news sensationalizes at times it's genuinely entirely possible post-mortem bon gains a sort of collective ghost knowledge of things and how the world is working currently (which has always been my like blase default autism question hole-filler) and through that has gained knowledge about infamous horror tropes and things like that through the zeigeist of classic horror and humanity's connection to the concept.
i think bon would appreciate classic literature horror (i.e frankenstein, dracula, carmilla, picture of dorian grey) becuse of the themes they explore and as complex pieces of art IN LIFE <- Bon, as we know him, DEAD, i like to think contains that previous knowledge of a couple classic horror novels and inadvertently mimics the things that happen within them or even siphons talking points and methods out of those books- but would never gain more than what he knew because he would profoundly lack interest: the thing about horror that is compelling to him is the viscera, the sinew, the nerves... he enjoys this exposed nerve of the human psyche that can be played like a fine instrument if done right.
i'm thinking of how bon Loves classical music, an easy, accessible medium to him in all forms; classical literature is much harder to get hands on. quite literally, for his massive robot paws. i almost want to go on a whole tangent about his connection to the mortal coil and if he can really feel, touch, see anything meaningfully or if it's all some kind of raw ego bleeding through but i'm a little rusty on my fileposting so i dont have the thesaurus power to describe that as precisely as i'd like right now.
classic horror movies are a little different to the literature i started with, considering i'm almost certain bon is not young enough to have been around for the moving picture but any film adaptation of an original novel his articulate self would have loved to pick apart is way more easilly accessed so i cant say hes never seen a classic horror. who knows. maybe they have a projector for halloween in k9, who knows. but, unfortunate truth…..i dont think boing has seen any horror movies, but i do think he would be utterly fascinated by them. maybe he would both seek to outdo them in a childish way and seek to win a personal approval by assigning somewhat artifical levels of depth to banal whims he likes to indulge (which he already does, lol) but more aloof. in a scenario where he's familliar with horror films hes kind of concerned with being a good director more than ever. on his own, he's only concerned with his own ameteur vision; he's picky about how he wants his killings to go and exactly how they'll be framed afterwards and how best to convince xyz that this is right. I think would he have been introduced to the world of film he would be even more particular. His vanity is key to his visions methinks.
while chatting about this i had fun listing classic killers bon might like, and i have to be honest i think bon would enjoy more the characters that 'won' their movies like leatherface or norman bates or hannibal lecter. It's a sort of puerile indulgence to like the ones that get away with it but i think it's fitting. bon would like norman bates, almost like non-critically? of his person i mean…i dont think bon cares about norman bates' oedipus complex i think bon cares he killed everyone yay good job norm. he's cheering him on.
