This sequence is so amazing. His coming home to all these candles and his stunned face - have you noticed how much more expressive and human he's gotten? Because he's comfortable now. I love it.

I love her bossily shoving him on the couch. And the mirroring of the wedding vows scene. But so different.

Finding out that he was the one that sent the DNA results to In-A (which could have ruined him!) just so In-A would back out and it's unclear if his plan was always to do so in order to request HJ as a substitute to save her from the other marriage or at first he was gonna just get out of marriage with In-A and only came up with substitute when he found out about HJ's predicament but either way the clear sign how much he did NOT want In-A and how much he did want HJ was the final stroke of healing something basic in HJ - showing her how needed and loved she always was.

The sheer gorgeousness of her proposing - the bravery of it for a woman who felt so utterly unloved and the security of it - knowing she's loved so she can propose. And his wanting to be the one to propose instead, yet another way of demonstrating to her she is wanted. (Also, the way he clutches his hands, overcome. MMM)

You know, you can tell that despite all his logic (he CHECKED that she was home - he got wrong info but it was reasonable) and his cold-bloodedness, you can tell he was terrified she actually was in danger. You can see it in the way he looks at her.

But she has no idea and she has no idea that he was telling kidnapper to murder her in full belief kidnapper did not have her, and all she sees is her husband not giving a fuck if she lives or dies. I do love that he brings this up, and it is so an indirect way of seeking reassurance "how absurd" he says, in hopes she will confirm (but also assuming that if stuff happened, she will let him know) but she understandably just shut him out in every way.

He is reassuring himself but she hears it as he doesn't care and it's such a believable misunderstanding with their situation (marriage of convenience) and their characters...
