Disability pride

So, i learned that there is a disability pride month in july...

Alastor isn't happyto be called disabled, but forgive him, he's old. During his time being disabled wasn't good, and he thinks that disability = being helpless and pathetic

Anyway, happy disability pride! As you know, i persoally have ADHD, and i love me some ADHD Alastor headcanons (Charlie is 1000% has ADHD don't even try to argue with me LOL)

So, I've been crazy a long time. And that's fine. Life didn't give me a fighting chance at being well-adjusted and I've made my peace with it. But, it's been a constant struggle to stay on my meds. I have ADHD so I forget to take them. I lose my insurance for one reason or another and can't afford doctor visits. I can't find a therapist willing to work with BPD, CPTSD and the menagerie of other stuff I have rolling in my head. It's been a struggle.

Things have gotten worse lately. The trauma a little too loud. So I finally book a psych appointment to reestablish meds and get on the right track again. And she proceeds to lecture me for 20 minutes about how she'll do it, but she's concerned about my lack of commitment. Seriously? Insurance, medication, consistency are a privilege I don't always have. I've done my best. I get that it's important to take meds consistently. But I'm also a human being who is just doing her best. So fed up and discouraged by this.

On top of that, I took my new meds last night and I am so tired and grouchy.
