Speaking of cats... it's Ephemera Friday!

These business-savvy felines are hard at work selling Dr. Thomas’ Eclectric Oil. It was widely used in Canada and the United States from the 1850s into the early twentieth century. Like many medicines of the time, it was marketed as a miracle cure-all, but mostly contained common ingredients like turpentine and camphor oil.

I have one of these and will show & tell mine under the cut!

I renamed her Sophie because I couldn't read the tag. It was Christmas 2000 (iirc, may have been either that or Christmas 2001) and I had received her from my grandma as a gift. To a collector, she wouldn't be valuable. She's in well-loved condition, missing her tag and, due to my younger siblings going unsupervised with a pair of scissors at some point, missing her whiskers. I do not care. She has value to me.
