If you’re ever opening a wine bottle, it is important to know how to use a cork properly. Remember to not make a lot of sound while opening a wine bottle, do it slowly and quietly with only a sound of a pop at the end of it. Nothing loud is appreciated while you’re opening an expensive bottle of wine! While pouring wine from the bottle, always hold the bottle towards the base, and while presenting wine, hold it from a base like you’re holding a baby!

If you are serving wine to a group of people, make sure to keep your proportions of wine in the glass the same as you serve to others. If you are visiting a vineyard or a wine cellar with the sole purpose of tasting wines- the same etiquettes apply with a few more. Wine tasting is a similar experience to that of fine dining. You follow the rules, you must always be dressed for the occasion. It is okay to ask questions during wine tastings, it encourages interest and helps you gain knowledge. We don’t need to say it, but we will- be punctual! Never be late while going for a wine tasting- it can often be perceived as disrespectful and distasteful. With that being said- enjoy wines and share your knowledge and experiences!
