Doing the hard work of getting the Terrans to accept and love Betraskans.)

The Moon rotates around its axis, the same way the Earth rotates. What is interesting, we only ever see "the front side" of the Moon. It's easy to get bamboozled by seemingly fine logic, thinking that the Moon needs 24h to go around the Earth - but if it did that, only one side of the Earth would be able to see the Moon and no one else. It would 100% be a tourist attraction. I'm not even sure the sea tides would exist. Some physics would happen for sure, and I am not sure whether it would be good or bad. Let's not find out.
One other thing that wouldn't happen if the Moon needed 24 hours instead of 27 days is that we wouldn't have Moon phases! You have for sure seen the Moon in all of its different phases (the same thing Kal went through living with us [squad 312], poor buddy @61gilwraethk. still can't believe he agreed to be lead on a leash, kinky, man)

You are correct in the tides not existing, but it would definitely be a tourist attraction, as the moon would be almost exactly 10x closer to earth if its orbit lasted 1 day, and therefore much brighter and larger in the sky. Which would be very cool, but have nasty effects on things like GPS satellites, as they occupy a type of orbit called geosynchronous, where they also orbit once every 24 hours, and I doubt the moon would play nice with it. The moon would also be an egg. And probably glow from tidal heating (the friction from earth pulling one part of the moon harder than the other).
i need to know more about all those, damn! never heard of a thing such as tidal heating! i can't even imagine it to be true, what the heck! i want to know the physics of it. i think i'd understand it then.
