A while back my husband suggested we watch this Chihayafuru anime that one of his co-workers recommended.

"The one where they're smacking cards around?" "Haha! Yeah, that one." "That...looks dumb."

And yet here I am, irritated that there isn't a season 4 in the works. I ended up hunting down the manga since that is apparently complete. I told Waffo I think he got tricked into watching a shoujo anime. (I also think this of Daily Life of the Immortal King, but I've not watched nearly enough to be confident in that thought. I don't understand what I do see. Show is all over the place, if you're not following along.) Waffo said at least Arata wasn't afraid to make his moves. It's true. And mad respect to Hanano. Girl knew what she wanted and went after it. I dunno if that's gonna happen, but good luck!

Watching My Hero Academia and while it is sad that all these heroes are retiring because of public discontent, I will be absolutely stricken with grief if this little dude's spirit is broken. He's just so precious. ;__;

Another felt doll for the minifox. This time it's Licorice Cookie. (Tutorial linked below)

He's currently missing the scythe, but that's because I've been feeling a bit under the weather and haven't felt like fiddling with small bits. (That sounds lewd.) Maybe when I'm feeling better, I can finish it. Aaargh! I just realized I forgot his belt! That's an easy fix. Anyway...

I'm slowly realizing that she likes a lot of the villains. She's hoping I'll tackle Vampire Cookie next, and eventually feel confident enough to attempt Espresso. We'll see. She's probably going to want to dress up as one of these cookies for Halloween, but her interests change with the seasons. I can't say I'm looking forward to making THAT costume. They can get pretty elaborate. But if I manage to pull it off, my confidence will shoot through the roof.

I stumbled upon the Wotakoi anime on Prime Video a while back (a year or two?) and gobbled that shit up. I only recently discovered there were 3 OVAs, so now I'm trying to hunt those down. I should probably find the manga. Uuuugh. Too many series to keep up with. I really need to make a list to keep it all straight.

The local library had an anime club type thing for 18+ and I considered going, but kept staring at that "18+" thinking it really meant ppl in their twenties and not ppl in their 40s. If I rolled up, they'd probably look at me funny. There are plenty of ppl, even otaku, who think it strange for an older person to like anime and manga. It sucks living in the suburbs, sometimes.

I'm still rather new to Tumblr. Mostly I subscribe to artists and various fandoms, which has been okay. It's a bit reminiscent of Livejournal. Did I mention that already? If so, clearly my opinion hasn't changed.

Anyway, minifox has been obsessed with this game called Cookie Run Kingdom. I'm still unsure what the game entails, except there's a rhythm game component. She loves the artwork, though, and has favorite cookie characters. We discovered a YouTube creator called "Cotton Forest" that made all these different felt dolls of the Cookie Run characters. They had a free pattern for Poison Mushroom Cookie, and it looked the easiest of the bunch, so I gave it a shot.

It was a lot of hand stitching. I don't have much experience with it, but there's only two stitches I needed to learn here. I think it turned out well. We'll see what minifox thinks when she gets home from school.
