I'm not usually a hater, but this ONE THING has made me hate demon slayer without fault.

I'm gonna start this off with: no I'm not dissing the quality of the series, ain't no one gonna complain about the animation being so crisp, what I AM gonna complain about tho is more or less in terms of plot holes and characters...

The story of demon slayer itself is rather simple in my opinion, nothing too bad, it has its highlights though. Rejecting the "ancestor was blah" in a weird turn, but it's still unique.

On that note, I REALLY want to ask why Tanjiro's great great grandpa or whatever has a hairstyle so close to Yoriichi? Because usually in the series, the hair and traits are very distinct and I find that the way that Tanjiro had such a similar hair style to Yoriichi is weird when they're not blood related at all? I could get the perspective that it was intended to maybe bait the audience to think this was a generational thing, ancestors and whatnot, and then flip it on their heads when it's revealed that Yoriichi was just some guy they met.

If it WERE meant to be to mislead the audience, it would've been a cool idea to have Tanjiro's hair grow out instead of getting cut to show more similarities instead of just Muzan having ptsd. And then when it's revealed that Yoriichi wasn't actually related to Tanjiro then he could've cut his hair and everyone gets a win win.(that's just a funny thing I thought of)

And here comes my most judgmental part... the lazy writing for the ladies being sexualized. Shinobu is the only one who's excluded from this(she's pretty nicely written but not too remarkable).

Let's start with Mitsuri.. her motivation of going into the demon slayer corps to find herself a man is something I found REALLY funny though. But also, her backstory.. sure it lends itself into the fact that "if a woman is anything other than what we want they're disgusting" trope I found deep back then, but there were some parts I found just didn't make sense.

The comments on her beastly strength and weird appetite I can find maybe as a good reason, but the part where the dude was disgusted by her hair enough for her to try and dye it was weird. If strange hair colors were maybe previously established to be weird, like, maybe someone commenting on Zenitsu's hair, or hell an offhanded compliment for Uzui's would've been appreciated to at least drive this point as something that COULD realistically happen in this world but it just isn't?(small nit pick I know but the hair dyeing scene would've been way more important if this was established) Especially when in Japan, normalcy tends to be the status quo.

Then... you already knew it, I'm gonna yap about her uniform because WDYM some pervy tailor gave it to her straight up, and she didn't do anything about it? I get she's whimsy and all but she is a grown ass woman. And now she's running around with a boob window. She's a Hashira too, this man should've been tortured for this show of disrespect when the second highest in their ranks is given a disgusting attitude by summer lowly tailor. Not a single girl around told her about it? She didn't even try to get another uniform in all her time as a demon slayer? That uniform got damaged in her fight in the swordsmith village, and next time we see her she STILL has a big window.. IS ALL HER UNIFORMS MADE BY THE SAME GUY???

Also on another note— no one in demon slayer wears skirts except for her? Female kakushi and Shinobu don't have any, but that can just be excused as "preference over practicality" I guess.

Next up is gonna be: Uzui's wives... oh boy.

No this isn't about him having a harem, they can get a pass for that when it's the Taisho period. But why are they wearing so little? Why can I see their whole solar system? "Oh but they were disguised as prostitutes—" NO only ONE OF THE WIVES WERE. Not to mention, Prostitutes wear MORE clothing than THAT. Them being skilled ninjas are also not a valid excuse, ninjas do intact have full coverage I'll have you know. And if you argue that "it's demon slayer, ninjas probably dressed like that in this world—" where is Tengens low v-neck and short shorts? "It's for mobility—" That's the EXACT SAME REASONING they have for Muichiro's clothes being TOO BIG. His clothes were designed to mask his moves and for more mobility, which is actually proving that Tengen's wives should actually be wearing something similar to Muichiro!

With all that said TL;DR: Tanjiro and Yoriichi having the same hair makes no sense, and Mitsuri and Tengens success having all that skin out makes no sense.

If you're a beginner and you wanna give up art because you think some dumb ai can do it better, remember this:

If it's something you love, you don't have to worry. Why do people still knit if a machine could do it in a quarter of the time? Why do people wanna make a gift card when you can buy it at a store? Why would someone go through the effort of making art when a machine could make it faster?

Because it makes them happy. Because it makes them feel more personalized. It's more connected with you and no one else. The process is what makes you happy and the result will be your own reward.

Why the hell would I chop veggies when you can get it preshredded? Because I like to. Faster and "better" isn't always fun.

Guys tell me if this is actually real but anyways

I need REALLY specific help, I had a dream, but it felt like an actual plot to a manga, manwha or manhua. Not sure though.

You know that feeling when you're in a dream and for some reason you have a narrative and backstory that was already set up but the dream itself never had it? It felt so detailed in this one.

The dream started where I was in the pov of this guy, rookie level guy that's more like a choreboy that was adopted by the chief of this monster slaying military/guild years ago. He has a few friends, all of the people there particularly had Japanese architecture and their uniforms reminded me of samurai. There was an obvious competative jerk character that would order MC around, the higher up scar-faced big brother figure, and the bff who's details I couldn't exactly remember.

But there was a weird dynamic with him and the leader of the guild(guy who brought him there when he was baby) and not weird as in it didn't make sense, as in it physically felt like bad vibes, he never acts fatherly, but somehow very possessive and dismissive of MC at the same time whenever he asks for something and just gets told too go look for nets for them to use in some weird monster capturing contraption.

When MC goes out, it's clear that the weird feels post apocalyptic since there's these weird monster guys(they look like those coal things from spirited away mixed with the abyss mages from genshin) that leak out from a bizarre realm that felt a lot like dream bbq/the witches from madoka style. And MC goes over to this place near the cliffside where a village used to be and it seems like this is a common place he's told to get stuff for the base.

But then there's like these giant thuds, like, the kind that has MC comically get off the ground for a few inches and stumble back, then, he sees this guy who he automatically knows is like, the king of these monster things being tall enough that his face could only be seen on the height of this cliff and his servants around him look like flies, and he freezes and I couldn't breathe so I think he was holding it in. The king guy looks like one of those greek statues. Then the king looks over at him and his eyes are turning black.

Then suddenly the dream actually goes into a third pov for the first time and we see mc LOOK like he's a marble statue and he's wearing the same robes that the king is wearing while he's slowly being consumed by something black, like his silhouette is but there isn't goop puddling beneath him or outside of his outline. At this point, for some reason I know for certain that the mc is somehow secretly actually a lost son of that king.

Then it cuts to somewhere underground, like a coal mine with monsters all around going in carts and mining stuff, MC is back to being him, and he infodumps on himself that he's at the very bottom layer of this dimension, and there's this goofy little graphic where there's an arrow to where he is but interestingly in the graphic at the very top there looks to be a mansion and mc says that he's 5 layers down from where the king is(at the top).

Then there's a cut to the king himself, who is just calmly walking back to his mansion, his surroundings look like those entrances with a fountain, stone pavement, and monsters trimming the shrubs.

There's a unique feel to where in the monster dimension everything is constantly moving, the shrubs, the grass, the pavement, unlike the human works which feels just not as overwhelming.

Hope y'all can find this and help me, because this HAS to be something that's written somewhere, I can't be this creative

Okay, here's the visual I promised

Mostly the only things I saw wrong here was the perspective of the face, and the length from the base of the neck to both shoulders being disproportionate

minor: the edge of the jaw being farther from the neck

I tried my best to keep everything from the original drawing(I colored the shoes too :D)

I only pushed the eyes a little closer to the edge, especially the nose, and nudged the mouth to follow a consistent perspective, and the shoulders were made to be a little wider to make Miku have room for shoulderblades❤️

The edge of the jaw was pushed forward a little because usually it would be within the neck and not extruding, but in this pov it will look closer

I think that calling people white or black is stupid, usually when we define different ethnic groups you go by country or whatever, you don't call a French person Beige.

Merely having the title of being "white" or "black" was the stupidest idea someone ever made, because from what I can tell, white people do NOT look like a fresh plain t-shirt you got this morning, and black people do NOT look like endermen..
