born in a prison & raised in Chicago, home life was volatile at best, at worst it was intolerable. went into foster care at 16, always tried to look out for his family which turned into only looking out for Angel.

went to prison when he was 17 for 5 years for attempted manslaughter and illegal possession of a firearm. a life of crime is all he really knows and was taught.

when he left prison he took Angel (then olivia) and escaped Chicago for the hope of a better life in Colorado. 

he got to lockwood about 12 years ago with a budding teenager and had no clue how to raise her, but somehow they managed and he worries about her all the time (she’s the only person he worries about)

he owns the junkyard which he does illegal side business out of (he’ll find you anything for the right price, muscle for hire, and chop shop) but also towing and salvaging parts. he also owns restricted access cabaret but doesn’t run it, he just oversees it, checks the books, and orders things for them when they need it.

has a drinking problem but since he is functional with it 9/10 he doesn’t see it as a problem. he’s also a stubborn asshole, that always thinks he’s right (even when he knows he’s not)

It was extraordinarily rare for them to talk openly, which was why the gravity of hearing more about Finn wasn’t missed by Odessa. There was plenty Finn didn’t know about her life and an equal amount, if not more, she didn’t know about his. Yet even with the mysteries, Odessa considered herself seen by him and able to see him too. “Me neither.” she replied with a faint smile as her fingers gently danced over his face. Learning about Finn felt like a privilege but she snickered softly. “You don’t have to explain yourself Finn, it’s none of my business and I…” Odessa glanced back towards the large home and frowned, knowing that she had certainly embarrassed herself. “I shouldn’t have…done that.” she let out an awkward laugh because she wanted to insist that there was no jealousy, but Finn was right. Odessa was jealous and perhaps had fallen a little more than she wanted to admit. Softening the look behind her eyes, she smiled sweetly to him. “I don’t want to claim you like you’re something to own, Finn because I know you’re not. I want you to be exactly who you are but I just want to be…closer.” she shrugged and pressed a soft kiss to the corner of his lips. “I just like being near you.”

One of Finn’s eyebrows rose at her equal revelation. It was hard to believe Odessa hadn’t been in a relationship with anyone. She was the type of woman people would fall in love with the moment they saw her. Judging from the amount of guys he caught looking at her all the time. “Really?” He asked rhetorically scanning her face. She wasn’t lying to him, there no reason to. Not about that, anyways. “Maybe it should be your business,” he offered in a low tone, fingers dancing over one of her hips. Finn huffed a laugh when she said she shouldn’t have reacted that way. He answered it with a shrug because if he were to be honest about it, he found the overreaction kind of hot. Hence one of the reasons he was so keen to chase her down and tell her she had it all wrong. “Ye know what I meant,” he retorted with a roll of his eyes. Confused blue hues looked into her doe eyes while he tried to absorb and understand what she was saying to him. He slowly shook his head. “I don’t know what that means, doll.” Finn admitted without shame, he sucked at reading between the lines when it came to this kind of stuff. Always straight forward, except when it came to any feelings below surface level. “Ye can be near me whenever ye want, I thought I made that clear by now.” Hell, he’d spend every night with her if she wanted him to. “Ye kind o’ got me trapped in that spell of yours.”

“Nah, I was only in Denver for like a day before you all showed up. No point running, huh? What if I had been with a girl and you just all busted through the door?” he could laugh about it now but that was definitely a low blow to his ego at the time, even though it should have been touching that Finn and Dusty even noticed he was gone. “I sure have, I will even get you the next round to prove it.” Danny said, straightening his posture into a haughty movement as he grabbed his wallet and used his other hand to flick Finn on the nose. “There’s like two eighties wannabes, Kas and uh….Jock? Fuck knows, if women wanted to fuck a dude with long hair they could just fuck a woman.” he said grumpily. He supposed there was no point prolonging the inevitable, news would be getting everywhere about Bobby being back. “Wish it was one of Dusty’s friends, man. Bobby turned up and because I was busy and Dusty was in a fucking cult or whatever, DJ just let him in. Been there the whole time.” 

“Lucky, ye are,” Finn nodded toward him. “Ain’t no one comin’ to look for me if I went missin’.” Not that quick, at least. Angel might notice eventually, along with the family when he didn’t pay his dues. Hunter would likely be the first because of work but, even then, he was sure they’d all assume he’s dead or hiding out. Ain’t no one going looking for Finn O’Connor if he’s missing. “I own a strip club and a porn studio. Ye think I’m bothered if I walk in on anyone fuckin’?” He snorted a laugh. Finn was desensitized to nudity and sex long before he got to Colorado, but even more so now. “Whiskey,” he confirmed since Danny was offering and he followed the flick with an open hand smack to the back of the other blonde’s head. “Why do ye care? Feckin’ weirdo.” Plenty of tail to chase in the city, Finn never once gave a shit who was gettin’ what. Unless it was with his sister, of course. He might get a bit jealous if he saw someone with Odessa, but that he would never admit out loud. “Shit. Ye need help kickin’ him to the curb?” It was something he normally charged people for but for them he’d gladly do it for free. Fucking fathers like theirs deserved to be in the gutter, if not dead and on display as an example for the rest of the world to see.

It was easy to get mistaken as Hunter, even by their own blood. It was even easier for Wolf to play his brother’s role too, a few grunts here, cuss words there, mix a few words the wrong way around. He’d been doing this for twenty five minutes without Finn noticing, probably made easier by the way Finn didn’t look too much at him as they worked. Hunter hadn’t even shown up yet for work and yet all thanks to Wolf, had got the majority of shit done. “Notice anything different about me yet?” he asks to Finn, not sure how long he can keep it up for as he smiles and steps a bit closer. The whole game is also easier by the fact Wolf wasn’t expected to be home until a few weeks later. “Come on, I know you must’ve noticed something new.” 

There were very few days Finn came into work early in the morning that he wasn’t a bit out of it. At least until he had his first pot of coffee. He got to work and focused on that. Neither Hunter or him were much talkers, least of all Finn. He finally looks up when the other blonde says something, it didn’t sound like Hunter but it was familiar. “Wolf?” It had been awhile since he saw his older cousin’s face. “Feckin’ hell, when did ye get out? I thought ye weren’t due till the end of the month?” Finn stepped forward and gave him a quick one armed hug that was more a pat on the back than anything. He stepped back and looked him over. “Came out with all ye limbs, so I guess it wasn’t so bad.” Finn joked and motioned for him to follow into the office area. “Think this calls for a drink, yeah?”

“Shell-fish.” Gabe nodded determinedly. Everything Finn said made sense to him and honestly he was impressed with the way Vegas seemed to sell everything you could think of. Within minutes of arriving, Gabriel had not one but two of those extra long bottles of alcoholic slushie with extra shots in, and the brain freeze didn’t even stop him. It was an adults playground for a reason and there was still body glitter in his beard and on his face from god knows what…or who. “The mariage balls!” Gabriel exclaimed and then raised his hand to point at his ring finger. It would be a hilarious joke, pranking everybody into thinking they tied the knot. “The pwety wings and then we can…take pishuers…” Gabriel’s words slurred out into nothing before he took a sharp breath to continue on. “BECAUSE.” Another breath. “You’re my bwest freusnd.” he slapped Finn on the back a few times, and then a few more. “Really, really. Bestest.” he burped once more, using his other hand to lazily point at a store. “RINGLETS, FOR THE FINGUR.”

"Yeah, yep him," Finn nodded a bit wobbly and paused only for a second to stop the room from spinning around him. He was fairly certain he'd laughed more that night than he had in his entire life put together. Vegas was wild. "Balls of massage?" No I mean bells. The word was right in his head but his mouth didn't cooperate. Finn nodded again because Gabe had it exactly right, it was like he knew what he was thinking before he even said anything. "Half to look wheal," the blonde squinted ahead at a place that had rings on the sign and started to point. But was interrupted by Gabe being disgustingly adorable and pulling an extremely rare sentimental, though drunk, look from Finn. He pulled the other man in for a one armed squeeze then booped the tip of his nose. "No you," he slurred. "Bestestest fwiend ever." Finn hiccuped. He swayed and followed Gabe’s hand to the store he was just going to point at. “Hey! I schwas just goin’ to point there.” He laughed and steered them wobbly toward the new destination. “You’re drunk.”

Well if it isn’t someone else who thinks they know everything about everything. Juliette brings the glass of wine to her lips as she stares at the racetrack below, shrugging at Finn’s words. “Don’t judge a book by its cover, Finn,” she responds, casting a casual look his way before shrugging. “Besides, I don’t gamble. I make informed decisions based on all the information presented.” Which is something a gambler would say but she’s really not one. She’s a strategist and thinks there’s a difference. “What about you? Putting money down on this one or only the ones where you can lose big?”

“Nah I won’t, I don’t read,” he deadpanned back to her. Informed decisions on information. Sounded like some shit rich snobs would say. "Right and I don't drink whiskey I just consume aged rye." He rolled his eyes. Speaking of whiskey, Finn was sure to help himself to the liquor cabinet which was sure to have a bottle of Irish whiskey among the selection. He turned back to her while taking a drink. "I put a little something on this one but if I'm going to risk losing money I'd rather go big or go home." Finn liked to keep how much money he had and could bet to himself. He'd rather live poor where he was comfortable and not have everyone and their mom asking him for money all the time. "Who'd you decide on?"

She smiled at the thought of Finn always being around, not realizing until then how different everything would feel if he wasn’t. Would she even like Lockwood Springs or her job? Maybe it was wrong of her to hold someone to that much importance, but she couldn’t help it. “I hope so, but after I know how to use this you’ll think twice about going anywhere.” she grinned coyly back at him as she teased, before laughing at the tap on her headphones. “Phew, they’re monstrous.” she added with a sigh of relief. Odessa moved back to position, or rather let Finn move her to it. She liked the feeling of knowing he was there, helping and steadying her. “Mhm,” she nodded, looking down at her feet as she slid them apart slightly and listened to his instructions. She lined up the shot again, daintily until she took in a breath. “Should I imagine it’s someone I don’t like?” she chuckled, but already the target was morphing into the face of the man with many names. Her expression hardened quickly and she frowned, pulling the trigger several times in quick succession even when she felt herself jolt backwards slightly into Finn again. She cleared the chamber without even knowing and looked to the pistol, the target and to Finn. This time she had hit a bit better, two in the chest in comparison to none. “Would that kill?” she asked, with a tone much softer in comparison to her previous actions and eager for Finn’s approval.

He chuckled. Finn liked her humor, it was dark and dry just like his own. “That so?” He hummed and placed a quick kiss behind her ear. “Just make sure ye shoot me from the front, ain’t got no respect for someone who shoots someone in the back.” There were a few exceptions but they were rare and far between. If anyone was to take him out, it would make sense that it was Odessa. She was the only one he knew so little about that he let get close to him. Blindly let her lure him like he’d been warned about his whole life. The scary part was, he didn’t seem to care anymore. He stopped fighting so much against it and just let it happen because it felt good. With everything that had gone wrong in his life, the shitty things thrown at him over and over, along with a lifetime of bullshit he shoved way down and harbored, it was nice to feel good for a change. Even if it started as one or two times a month. That increased significantly over the last few months, as things got worse with Angel and tensions rising in the city. Finn watched her line herself up. “Do it, I’m goin’ to guess it would be someone ye don’t like if ye shootin’ them.” He smirked and watched as she let rage out from somewhere. Whoever she was imagining had a thing or two coming to them that was for sure. He stepped back and looked at her with an affirming nod. “If they didn’t get to a hospital I think that would do the job.” Finn flashed a faux look of fear then went to slight concern. “Who has ye that mad? Or should I be afraid it was me?” He joked lightly, giving her an out if she didn’t want to tell him. In the meantime he took her gun and went to reload it with more practice rounds. Then did the same for his, because he wanted to show off a little while they were there.

It isn’t that Quinlan doesn’t trust Finn, the man would not hold the rank he does if that was the case. It’s that Quinlan understands the pull of family, how even when they are wrong or vile, blood comes first. At least that’s how he has been raised and he has seen how families can be likened to black masses, pulling everything into them at unsuspecting times. “Thank you. I hope everything’s going well there.” he answers Finn, not glancing up from his book until a few moments later. “It looks like it.” he adds with a laugh, noting the sizable fortune. His glassy eyes move to the windows at speak of the happenings beyond them, and his lips tug into a small and contemplating frown. “I suppose I understand why it’s tense.” he sympathizes. “Loss is never easy.” he adds, to seem slightly more human than he has been feeling lately. “Oh, I don’t doubt there’s already been fingers pointing at us the whole time.” he laughs slightly, fetching the decanter of whiskey and pouring them both a glass each. “But, no news worth mentioning. We have a few eyes on it too, just to make sure there’s no…funny business. But it seems the culprit had a good understanding of security camera blindspots. Unsurprisingly.”

“Well as ever, the studio just won an AVN award for Tainted Love. First one ever, so they must be doin’ somethin’ right.” Finn shrugged then gave a quick smile. He wasn’t the creative genius behind any of it, just provided the space and hired the people who could run it properly. Sympathy was strange to Finn most of the time, though it was especially strange to read on the face of someone in Quinlan’s position. Not that he found the man completely heartless and cruel, Finn had seen a lot worse. Still, it seemed weird all the same in the respects to a dead biker not affiliated with their side at all. “S’pose not, but it don’t mean they need to point the finger at us.” No one hated the animosity between the two organizations more than Finn. Except maybe Hunter. They worked along lines just fine in his opinion, different trades and each made money. Finn took the glass of whiskey with a nod of thanks. “ Of course they did,” he said with a bitter huff. “If we didn’t do it, then it was either someone who had beef with that family, the Keepers, or someone who wants to see us go to war.” Finn hadn’t the first idea which one it could be but he couldn’t think of any other solutions. Unless. “We didn’t do this, right?”

Nixon likes to believe that he can laugh about most things. During his adventures, the more dangerous they became, the funnier he found it. This doesn’t seem so funny as he’s holed up in the darkness of a trunk with a man driving him who he’s certain is a psychopath. Nixon’s ideology of being able to talk his way out of trouble is being shifted. Maybe he can shut up his way out of trouble. He’s never tried that before, and if there’s one thing Nix likes, is new things. It feels like they’re driving forever, and Nix doesn’t use the time to self-reflect or come to any mindset other than...How can I get out of this?

When it’s finally time and Finn is pulling him out of the trunk, Nixon has clearly worked himself into a state of silent shock. When shit gets real, his cowardice shows. Just like New Mexico, just when his cocky jokes fell flat after trying to double bluff literal con-men. Life seemed to be easier when he was younger, a few smiles after kicking over trash cans. A strange story after breaking in a window. What happened? He blinks nervously at Finn and then the gun, hugging himself and then letting his arms fall to his side so he didn’t look like a weakling. “I…what do you wanna know!?” Nix expresses with fear for his life because now they’re somewhere he doesn’t recognize and shit has got all too real. Like New Mexico. New fucking Mexico. “Is this about Angel!?” he gestures an arm out but it falls back to his side again. “I talked to her, Finn. I don’t know what any of you want me to do, it happened I can’t…I can’t change what happened so what the fuck can I do!?” Nix talks at full speed from sheer panic, taking deep breaths between one sentence to the next. “You hate me for it, I get that. But I had a bunch of drugs in my fucking car. I was trying to figure out what to do with them before I went back.” That part of the story is new, it was never there before…he likes how it sounds. It sounds admirable. “I was gonna go back, Finn. But if I went back we’d both be in jail, which is basically like dying, right!?”

He didn’t want to know anything from Nixon. Everything he needed to know about him was summed up by him leaving his sister for dead on a road somewhere in New Mexico. However the fuck it happened. “Who the feck else would it be about?” As if he had any other reason to be talking to this junkie. It was frustrating how out of touch with everything this kid was. Finn didn’t say anything else, he stayed stoic beyond his tongue running along the back of his bottom teeth. The explanation and excuses give only made Finn angrier. He didn’t want to hear anymore. The blonde moved forward instead, hitting him in the head with the butt of his pistol. “No, no it’s not the feckin’ same at all,” he answered afterwards, putting the gun back in it’s holster. He lifted Nixon by the throat slightly to bring him to eye level and stared at him for a moment. Every part of him wanted to squeeze with both hands and watch the dull light fade from his eyes. It would definitely come back to him, at least initially. His stupid brother would be sure to make a stink over it, even though Finn thinks he should thank him for freeing him from the bullshit. Instead he dropped him and turned him around, instantly pinning him to the car not different than a cop would.

“Now you listen here ye little shit,” he leaned into him talking close to his ear so he had his full attention and twisted his arm behind his back. “You are a coward. Ye deserved to be in that hospital bed and honestly I wish they would have found ye on the side of the road with a needle in your arm dead.” His nostrils flared between each word. “I went to prison for seven years, jail isn’t shit and it’s far from death. If ye gave even a slight fuck about her you would have been there to see her through, ye wouldn’t have let her do that much shit in the first place.” He twisted his arm even further up his back. “I should pour bleach down your throat and watch it eat ye from the inside out. And I’d do it with a smile.” Finn could feel his arm start to give under his hold. “If ye go near Angel again, if I see ye anywhere near my place or the club, I will lock you in a room and take you apart piece by piece. Then I’ll let you watch each piece disintegrate in acid right in front of you.” It was an honest threat and he wanted to make it clear that he messed with the wrong sister. Whether intentionally or not. “Do you understand me? Tell me ye understand.” He put more weight into him, hoping his entire body cracks beneath him.

Viva Las Vegas was pouring through the air, or was that Gabriel singing it? Or was it Finn? No, it was both of their voices melting together like mating cat calls. “I love Smonny Mash.” he slurred, throwing a large arm over Finn as they walked. No, stumbled, through the flashing lights of the street. It had only been a weekend getaway but turned into something much more than that. It was needed though. Gabriel preferred to see Finn having a good time, even if he had to close both eyes to see it. Wait no, one eye, two eyes would be stupid. The man giggled out loud at his own thought. “Where to next!?” he yelled into Finn’s ear, even though his blond counterpart was right beside him. “I feel like we have to go and see an Pelvis singer because that’s…we’d be wrong. It’d be wrong of us.” he belched against Finn’s face, pulling the man closer to him so he couldn’t escape it.

It was weird how obsessed with Elvis every place in Vegas seemed to be. The dude was dead for a million years by that point. “Schelvis.” Finn mumbled as if he already knew what Gabe was talking about but he actually was just thinking about Elvis and not Johnny Cash. He would love it more if they were playing that music constantly. Finn couldn’t think at all, except to make whatever choice came to his head. Tequila always fucked him up beyond belief and he wasn’t sure when he switched from whiskey to tequila but he was going to blame it on Gabe when he woke up the next day and had no clue what he did that night. He was having the time of his life though. It had been a long time since he’d felt that good. “Mmm, um, mnah, drive-shrew Schelvis with the mawage bells.” That made him think about how everyone always thought they were dating, despite him being sure that his best friend had never been into a guy in his life. Except maybe Deadpool because everyone was into Deadpool. “Let’s get wrings and take pictures in front of the Vegas guy. It’ll be funny.” Finn pointed to the sign for one of the little chapels with the Elvis impersonators.

Odessa’s expression remained soft but sad, even when Finn comforted her but slowly, his affection worked and it didn’t take long before she was melting into his hold. Well, now she felt even more stupid but her cheek softly leaned into one of his palms as he brought his hands to her face. She sniffled, just once, and would claim it was the sudden cold air that made it happen and absolutely no other emotions. “Oh…” she stalled as her own hands raised to hold over the top of his softly. “Well, I misunderstood.” she jutted her chin up slightly to maintain some kind of aloofness, despite her attitude showing the complete opposite a mere moment a go. “I thought you were using me to have an affair on him.” she then said, and could somewhat see the funny side but her lips pulled into another frown as her arms wrapped over his shoulders. “I wasn’t jealous, Finn. I need you to know that. I’m not crazy.”

He looked at her fondly, though he didn’t know if it translated on his features. “I see that,” he said with a soft chuckle. It was hilarious to think that she honestly thought Finn would not only be married to Gabe, but be dumb enough to take a date to a party if he was married. "Let's make this easier for the future. I've never had a girlfriend or a boyfriend since I got out of prison over a decade ago." Even the relationships he had before then wouldn't be what he considered actual relationships. Teenagers are stupid though and he was sure Odessa knew that. "And I ain't ever been married." He realized then that she didn't know much about that, or anything beyond the bits and pieces he's offered of his personal life. It had become a habit to not say anything or be vague. He didn’t want to do it either, because there was no telling she’d stick around. “I’m not sayin’ you’re crazy, I’m sayin’ no one reacts like that without being at least a little jealous.” Finn called it like he saw it. “If you’re tryin’ to stake yer claim, say it.” He’d probably let her do it.

                         If all her clients sat as good as Finn did, Kenzie was sure she’d be a master of her craft by now. He was like a stone, unmovable and not flinching to any of her movements which made for clean and crisp lines into his skin. She took her foot off the pedal at his words though, just so she could give him a stern look. Not as stern as she’d be to anyone else, because while they were close, she wasn’t ever going to rustle those O’Connor feathers. “You did not just say that in my cousin’s shop, Finn.” she angled her wrist to her hip to simulate putting her hand there instead. “She absolutely does not just keep you around, don’t even talk like that.” she quirked a brow, getting back to work soon after. “Whenever I think of Angel, I think of Finn. You’re…a team. It’s just difficult right now. And that’s not because of Angel, it’s because of the…the shit she’s doing.” Kenzie couldn’t say the words outright, it broke her heart. Sure, she was no well behaved kid and a fun time when she was younger was always known to have a few perks but…this was different. “I hate to say it but maybe she needs a shock, a wake up call.” Kenzie suggested but she was no expert at this. “Finn, if anyone’s gonna be able to get through to her, it’ll be you. This is about Angel, though. It’s not about how much she loves you. It’s about her shit, and the best thing you can do is force her to deal with it. I know if anybody else tried, they’d get their heads ripped off.” Kenzie was finally able to laugh at Finn’s apparent not-grumpiness and she nodded slightly. “Alright, Mr. Not Social no friends. I just sit here talking to you because I hate you, right?”

“The fuck did I say?” Finn was genuinely confused as to what the hell she was going on about. Oh. Nevermind. “I ain’t know what the feck ye mean by that.” He knew what she meant but had a hard time believing that it wasn’t a possibility anymore. She was getting worse and worse. Every time he thought she improved, she fell off track again. Kenzie was right, she needed a shock or something to make her hit rock bottom. Maybe that was cutting her off but it was so hard for Finn to even conceive doing. He didn’t know if he was even capable of doing it. “Yeah well the only thing I got left in my arsenal is tracking or cutting her off and I don’t know about it.” Finn sighed and watched her work. “I guess we’ll figure it out or die tryin’.” He didn’t want to talk about it anymore. It was fucking depressing. “Ye know what I feckin’ mean.” The blonde grumped back at her. Though the mention of socialization had him wondering if Hunter or Gabe had talked to her about his recent socializations. Hell, even Angel but he knew the two of them were still working things out. “Suppose ye heard about me seein’ someone, right?” He figured it was better to get ahead of it before she started in on him like the other two had. Like it was some kind of big deal he was paying attention to someone for longer than five seconds.

Hunter shrugged, because everyone seemed to think he was older than he was too. Guess it was a Southside curse or maybe a Cross one. Elliot needed to make the most of his youthful glow while he still could. Laughing, Hunter reached out his fist to Finn in order to seal Danny’s pink hair fate. “Fuck it, we’re doing it Finn. I know we probably said this before, but I mean it this time.” he cackled loudly. “And when he asks what the fuck happened we can say it’s what he always looks like. Make him paranoid that he’s been walking around with pink hair for years.” Hunter loved tormenting Danny. DJ was too much of an easy target and Dusty was just never fucking around. So, Danny it was. Hunter had to stop himself from humming and saying “I bet.” about his girl’s looks. Now he knew Finn had some sort of claim on her, there went that idea. But there wasn’t a shortage of attractive women in Lockwood. “You should tell her, she seems like she’d be one of those hide or rides.” he slurred, leaning his head back to stop the room from spinning. He laughed once and then a bit more, peeping at his cousin. “Ahhhhh fuck, well. Guess we’ll both be fucking lonely assholes then.”

“Any day o’ the week, I’m sure it won’t be hard to get him to come over and drink himself stupid,” Finn’s eyes brightened at the plan coming to some fruition already. “He’s broke again and somehow still has his job. I think the owner of Lazy Daze is just too high to notice or somethin’.” It would be harmless and knowing Danny it would probably get him laid more. There was something wrong with all these girls going for face tattoos and eighties wannabes. Maybe they were weeding out the crazy for the rest of them. Perhaps the freaks deserved a weirdo medal. “Nah,” Finn shook his head when Hunter suggested he tell her. “I’d like her to run not, hang.” Nope that’s not what he meant and now he was confused. He shook it off and took a breath. “Stay. Not hide.” That’s what he meant to say. “Aw, don’t worry Hunt. You can stay in the room next to mine at the nursing home.” He laughed and stood up, swaying a bit. “C’mon let’s go smoke and call some poor sober son of a bitch to come get us.”

“Ah fuck you.” Danny hissed, because he could never keep quick remarks going. Finn, the usually untalkative one seemed to have a few good one liners at the ready which pissed Danny off to no end. At least there were free shots for Danny to drown his misery, and he did two in quick succession, squinting at Finn through the burn. “I’m handling it, the fuck?” Danny said sourly, gesturing to himself. “I’ve matured, thanks very much.” he added, because he thought he had. If others didn’t see that then, it wasn’t his problem, right? “Me and Kenz are…fine. I’ve got no woman problems because I’m not Kas fucking Morrison.” Said with a bitterness. “Just don’t wanna be home, that’s all. Boring there.” Bobby there, actually.

"Could've fooled me. Suit yourself though, long as ye ain't runnin' away." Finn wasn't going to argue with Danny. He'd end up punching him and probably make him cry or some shit then they'd be right back at the beginning again. ”Matured.” Finn repeated the word like it was a foreign concept. He didn’t even consider himself all that mature, despite being as serious as a heart attack half of the time. “Right. I can see ye reformed all your ways.” Finn let out a quick laugh. “That eighties wannabe? Women actually like that kind of thing?” Fucking idiot wasn’t even alive in the eighties. Then frowned when he said he didn’t want to be home. “Anything to do with that shambling skeleton I saw smokin’ on your stoop the other night?” He’d figured it was one of Dusty’s weird friends or something, but maybe it was something else.
