It really sucks. I knew bellamy was going to die but not like that. I didn't watch the entire season but once i heard he was brainwashed, I had a bad feeling. Still this is worse than i expected. Clarke is the worst person to kill Bellamy, not because they have a strong relationship but because Clarke will never face consequence for this. No one will mourn Bellamy, no one will avenge him
the way i was right about this

Clarke: *holds Bellamy at gunpoint and shoots him to prevent him from going to his sister*
Bellarkes: they're SOULMATES
Clarke: *leaves Bellamy to die in a fighting pit*
Bellarkes: #married
Clarke: *shoots Bellamy dead*
Bellarkes:
we all know Clarke will never face consequences for this
has she ever faced consequences about any of her actions
Not even once
we all know Clarke will never face consequences for this
The way everyone is so calm about Clarke killing Bellamy says a lot

Why in the world did we all accept this lie that Echo is stoic and hides her emotions? I know I’ve written that into stuff too, but honestly it’s not really true. Echo isn’t very open with expressing her emotions, but she is not all that hard to read. When she’s scared, she’s pretty openly scared. When she thought she killed Octavia, she looked distraught.
You know what, no wonder Tasya was thrown by Jason telling her not to cry when Spacekru finds out about Monty and Harper. Echo would ABSOLUTELY cry. She might not want to talk about it, but Echo is very expressive.
Stoic/hard-to-read Echo is out. It’s not canon and I’m rejecting it.
Echo has a “work face” that she puts on for seizing control of a city, but when she’s in a cage, with her bf, talking to her sister, etc she takes it off. Jason had her put it on at an inappropriate time.
I totally agree! Anyone who’s actually paying attention to Echo can see her emotions clearly. She’s determined and gets the job done, and obviously the show is all about conflict so more times than not you see Echo in action, so she puts on a stoic face - and even then, you can still see her emotions.
Tasya’s acting choices translate that really really well and I find it kind of disrespectful when people claim Echo is cold and distant when actually, you can see the effort she puts in playing all of Echo’s different reactions and feelings.
Dont even get me started on that bs Jason pulled on Tasya cause that shit still makes me SO ANGRY.
Also there’s a difference between being less “emotional” (not having big out there expression of emotions) and being “unemotional” (not having or showing emotion at all). Echo doesn’t explode her emotions out onto people but she absolutely has emotions.
She cried when she was banished by Roan, she was so obviously emotional.
She was devastated when she thought she killed Octavia AND when she told Bellamy what happened.
She was so clearly upset and distraught when she was going to kill herself before praimfaya.
She cried telling Bellamy about her parents.
She knows how to pull it in and keep herself in check when she needs to but she absolutely shows emotion when it’s too much, or when she has the chance to work through it.
I’m not a hugely emotional person either, and I really identify with that aspect of Echo, her being in control of her emotions. But she has them, and she shows them, and she deserves to be seen as that, rather than this robotic character Jason pretends she is.
like she can absolutely be vulnerable when she wants/needs to be and shows affection (see: her comforting raven. accepting comfort from emori. hugging monty. being playful w bell & murphy etc etc) but she’s learned to suppress them either to protect herself from /them/ or others that might manipulate her weaknesses or like the ‘work face’ above- a determination in the moment to focus on getting a job done- i.e. she WAITS. pushes it away for now it’s not that she struggles to express herself it’s that she often chooses when to do so and 'turns them off’ in the moment but when she’s under high stress or overwhelmed or scared it gives you a peak into what her natural response is when she doesn’t necessarily have control over it and she’s expressive other notable moments of vulnerability come when she thanks Bellamy in mt weather or spacekru when they agree to save her life the truth is she’s never been a stoic character if want a stoic character look to lexa or indra or even anya (e.g. that scene clarke asks how lexa’s arm is and lexa just goes 'hurts’ with a completely dead expression lmaooooo) her emotional moments are where we learn echo best and are my favourite scenes of her she’s the definition of 'softie but a badass’ it’s just that we didn’t get to see those softer parts really shine until s5 but looking back it’s all there like. i don’t need her to be crying and screaming in my face to understand and appreciate her responses echo would’ve cried at the video of marper period anyways that was a ramble but i agree with ALL of this. I’ve never seen her as a stoic distant cold (and whatever else she’s called) person it also depends on who shes interacting with too like i find the relationship between her and murphy interesting to think about lol
STOP PITTING THE DELINQUENTS AGAINST EACH OTHER
Bellamy is PROTECTIVE
Raven is BRILLIANT
Clarke
Monty is PRINCIPLED
Jasper is INSPIRING
Octavia
Murphy is RESOURCEFUL
Miller is LOYAL
Harper is TOUGH
i know — i know — that murphy yelling “have we learned nothing?!” is him acting as daniel prime or a prime in general to get the sanctum ppl to stand down. i know.
but
but can you just imagine
if clarke is trying her whole “i’m in charge” thing on the sanctum people and murphy just storms out screaming “have we learned nothing?! you’ve destroyed every civilization you’ve come in contact with. you are not in charge here” and the sanctum people follow him bc he’s their prime.
CAN YOU IMAGINE MURPHY TAKING THE POWER AWAY FROM CLARKE LIKE THAT
OHHH MY GOD I CANT I WOULD KILL FOR THAT TO HAPPEN
There really is nothing we can do as fans now that the sequel trilogy is over. I’m talking about fan works. There’s so much to explore in the prequel trilogy because the characters had arcs, conflict and they made mistakes. The original trilogy had an open ending where there was a lot of possibility and the scope of the franchise got expanded by the prequels. We don’t have any of that in the sequels? The conflict has no angst because ‘war is fun’ or ‘we ignore the only character who has been affected by it because he’s black.’ The characters don’t change or they change for the worse. The secondary characters are so one dimensional and boring. The movies barely visited new worlds or stayed long enough for us to care. We have Tatooine from the OG trilogy and Naboo from the prequels, the sequels have no planet of significance.
I’m so annoyed by this. At the very least they could have given us enough so we can close the gaps on our own. No wonder all we do is have boring ship wars.
Poe getting a novel to “shine light on his past” when ALREADY he got a whole ass comic and Finn gets what? Okay. Alright.
I’m sorry but Poe got two TRoS books, two comic runs, and more screen time than Finn in tros I’m genuinely violent
I’m so sick to death of Poe Dameron and I won’t get over the awful taste in my mouth until I’ve actually been giving time away from Disney and fandom kissing the ground he walks on. Of maybe if they just gave Finn some content as well but everyone acts like giving Finn the chance to be developed it’ll open the seventh seal.
The amount of antiblackness it takes to re-re-retell the story of a pilot and avoid the before, during, or after of the life of a force sensitive former stormtrooper who facilitated the events that lead to the end of the first order and sheev Palpatine is so staggering. I truly can’t take it.
