a day in the life of quinn rhodes
6am: bullet and stella wake you up for pee time. you put on some comfy pants and a coat (you sleep naked except in the dead of winter) and take them downstairs on to the street.
6:15am: collapse back in to bed
7am: get woken up again by bullet and stella for breakfast. fix yourself breakfast while they eat - multigrain toast with fresh avocado, vine-ripened tomato and mushrooms tossed in vegan butter with paprika and tabasco. youâll have this with your organic fair trade cold-drip coffee that you distill yourself. in the winter you might switch this to a soy latte.
7:30am: your first alarm goes off (you always leave it on, just in case). you shower and get dressed and kiss and cuddle the dogs goodbye for the day.
8am: you get on your motorcycle and ride to work. on nice days you take the long way. when itâs raining or snowing you wish everyone was dead, but then remind yourself that if they were all dead youâd have to be at work at six am.
8:30-9am: arrive at work, fix yourself a soy fair-trade gluten-free chai and get stuck straight in to autopsies.
1pm: lunchtime. invariably the delivery boys would bring at least eight bodies in as soon as you got your lasagne warmed up.
5pm: home time if the paperwork hasnât piled up.
5:30: arrive home, get greeted by doggy kisses and more often than not, hadley asleep on your couch.
6:30: eat a light dinner (japanese is your favorite, though you do love making pasta) and make sure hadley gets some while you shower and change.
8pm: if you have a session booked with a client youâll head to their hotel room by this time normally, bedecked in a leather corset, thigh-high boots, a short latex skirt and a latex bra with a trenchcoat thrown over the lot. if you donât youâll be in your pyjamas with the dogs, drinking wine and playing video games.
10:30: walk the dogs before bed.
11pm: bedtime. you share your queen-size bed with your dogs, even if you have a âspecial friendâ over. they can deal with it.
