How my betta fish normally swims around VS how he swims after ive put him in "Fish Jail" to temporarily keep him away from new tankmates (ignore the duckweed disaster please this is my ugliest tank)

Ive noticed his fins are super "clamped" and he just looks a lot less confident than usual even when he seems to be relaxing and staying still.

And I have to wonder if when people say their betta fish is totally fine in a small container if they just dont know what their fish's body language is NORMALLY like. I constantly hear the excuse that "betta fish just dont swim around much"...but my betta fish patrols his territory all the time! He's super active and curious! (The first image is actually after i dumped a ton of new plants from the store into his tank to keep them wet, so thats actually him being nosy and investigating)

You just wouldn't know this if your fish was in a tiny empty bowl all the time, why would it have reason to explore around or do anything other than sit sadly at the bottom of the gravel?

Peachy-poo pics 🥰💕 I just cleaned her tank and took the opportunity to take a bunch of pictures. She's a month and a half old now! Still gaining weight. She's super alert and still seems like a normal baby gecc. She actually now weighs almost exactly what Kiwi did when I got her! Which is so crazy to me.

Anybody have advice on mounting a camera in a Leos terrarium?

My boy Mac recently went on his first hunger strike which made me want to have a way to make sure he's still being active at night. I bought a Wyze 3 based on recommendations but I'm unsure on how to mount it in his tank. Any advice?
