& DAMIAN:
Standing there in front of the display window of the small costume shop located in the middle of town, the local young Naiad tapped a finger against the cool glass as he chewed his lip in thought. He knew this would be one of his biggest ‘issues’ around this time, it being nearly Halloween - as it was almost every year while he was on land - and with all the new neighbors around he’d met he was feeling pressed to get started on a costume. If one couldn’t dress to impress, why bother? When he registered the presence of someone standing nearby, he hardly removed his gaze from the various outfits exhibited as he addressed them.
“Do you think I could pull off…” he had to pause to find the right word, basically answering his own question. “An angel costume? Like, fuck the robes, I’m talking something hot. Or is that a bit of a reach? Maybe I should just be a devil again… thoughts?”
The truth was, Fiona wasn’t even thinking about Halloween yet. She didn’t particularly enjoy it, but maybe she was biased because of all the deaths that haunted her the rest of the year. She saw no reason to celebrate that, or things that scared her in general. Still, costumes always interested her, even if she hardly ever got one for herself. “Isn’t it a bit early for Halloween costumes?”, she asked as she stopped next to the other in front of the store already having them on display. “A hot angel should be doable, I think. Hot devils are kind of old-school, aren’t they? Well, angels probably are too, but I haven’t seen that done all too often.”
