hii everyone, i think it's time for me to step away from roleplaying for mphfpc
i'm honestly not sure where to begin, but the main point i'm trying to get across is that the rp blog community is no longer a space i wish to be part of. recent events have crossed several boundaries of mine, again, and this is now the second time i'm reiterating myself since this post . running both of these blogs isn't fun anymore; it's exhausting.
to put it (very) briefly, the over-villainizing of salvador tatterleg has gotten out of hand. some rp blogs began pushing these unnecessarily dark narratives onto his character without my permission, which makes me both uncomfortable and quite sad. it now feels as though salvador isn't even a blog i run anymore. rather, he's now being reshaped into the most unlikeable, cruel, even outright evil character possible for the sake of storylines i have little to no part in.
in addition, other unrelated things have happened over the past few weeks in the community that are innocent and harmless on their own, but i don't wish to associate myself with going forward (for personal reasons) — that, on top of balancing my main blogs + personal life, is really just becoming a lot for me to handle.
thank you to everyone who has interacted with my fiona + salvador blog with positivity. from fugh's wedding, to the evil alliance, i cherish all of those memories. :) maybe one day, i'll feel ready to return to this community. but right now, i can't say for certain.
i want to end by saying that i'm not angry / resentful in any way, nor am i asking for any apologies — it is what it is at this point. i truly love and see the good in everyone in this fandom, but unfortunately, this extended hiatus is what i need to do for myself, all things considered. i hope you can understand where it's coming from. ♡
OOC: not many people like the movie, especially not movie!enoch, and when i tried to join forces with the other book blogs to take over tumblr together i didnt get the best response so i felt quite isolated when i first started this blog. asking you to be my evil ally was the best thing i ever did on tumblr and carrying out our evil deeds together is the most fun ive had in a good while. i never met you, i dont even know your name, but i truly feel like youre a good friend of mine. thank you for everything youve done for me. the evil alliance salutes you.

headcanon time:
so i don't believe emma ever truly HATED fiona, lol ... she's too much of a sweetheart, whoever could? and also emma is such a girls girl idc. but i like to think those two were definitely at odds, at least for a few years upon first meeting. it was mostly a teenage-girl insecurity thing, which had lots to do with their opposing personalities. 🥲
the best way i can explain it is that fiona generally responded to emma's brashness and fire with her natural quiet, as she's a far more gentle soul by default. but to emma that translated into: "oh okay so she thinks i'm obnoxious and rude"
whereas fiona saw emma's attitude / more snappish demeanor as: "oh okay so she just doesn't like me / thinks i'm weird, maybe i shouldn't speak to her at all."
but i also just wanted an excuse to use this little text thread because it is INSANELY funny to me, omfgg.

hi! thank you, i have been doing well! day 2 of putting up Christmas decorations so it's been a nice day. hope your day is going well too!
i do have some; i think hugh would like wearing socks with silly patterns on them (maybe not when out and about but definitely when at home) and fiona does too, although she's not quite as enthusiastic about it. she does darn the socks when they get worn through with different coloured material so then they're even more vibrant than before!
also i think fiona would, upon discovering a plant she hadn't encountered before would stop to examine it and try and get a sense of it with her peculiarity. cue hugh patiently waiting while his girlfriend is crouching next to a flower for the twelfth time on a nature walk ahah

okay but the concept of emma being “the snake” and fiona briar being “the songbird” in peculiar games …
essentially representing fiona brair’s covey idealism + hope for love, peace, and unity in panem being at odds / combatting with emma’s cunning + merciless actions in the arena, as she believes being a threat is the only way she could possibly make it home to her sister.

Hugh is from Swasiland (which doesn't quite match up with the song, bc that's zulu, but swasiland is a kingdon within south africa, so it's fine) and basically, had to live with colonialism for a long time, which wasn't fun. He met Fiona at 16 and they married at twenty. Neither of them were really sea-faring people, until they found themselves on the run from their town and their only option was the freedom of a lawless life.
They joined the crew of the Peregrine in 1718, only months after she was taken over by Captain Bentham. Hugh is very charismatic and well-respected by the crew, promoted to Master Gunner by December of 1719.
Tidbit: Hugh's hearing is impaired due to being near cannons constantly
the release of the new hunger games trailer reignited my love for peculiar games SO here’s me yapping about it … again! this time about the outfits i have planned for the arena ♡

okay so i’m not sure anyone remebers, but a few months ago i drew arena emma / my concept design for her outfit. it was on par to what tributes wore in the first hg film — baggy tee, cargos, a jacket, running / hunting boots, etc. but then i realized that was possibly the most unconventional thing a person can ever wear in a water based + beachy arena… LOL.
SO i made some innovations since. tributes will wear a … swim suit? i think they’re called? like those long, skin tight ones that cover your whole body. think the arena outfits from catching fire; not only do they make the sticky, humid climate somewhat more bearable, BUT it also makes it easy for tributes to move around. then that’ll be paired with some water-proof boots for swimming + going in the water.
originally, every suit would be brightly colored coded based on district, like in sunrise on the reaping. only i’m not entirely sure about neons in this particular arena, as it just doesn’t fit the gloomy, dark aesthetic at all (unlike the poison paradise).
so instead, all suits will just be… plain black. in a lighter grey color, the tribute’s district numbers will be boldly displayed on their back.
and of course each tribute will accessorize with their little tokens from home (if they’re wearable, that is). so that includes emma with her golden heart locket, fiona briar’s chicken feathers in her hair + her tearing a shred from her lil rainbow skirt and tying it about her waist (ok stylish diva!), and so on.
