happy holidays!Â
Guys, I just wanted to point out another thing I noticed. In episode 9, Yuuri comes to the conclusion that Victor is eventually going to stop being his coach and move back to Russia. He hates the idea of skating without Victor but his mind keeps telling him âThis season will be over soon. You have to let go. You canât make him stay with you.â

Alright, so now that weâre getting even more official confirmation that the creators of Yuri on Ice are willing to make a second season, there is one thing we, as fans, must do:
Support the anime.
The anime industry is small, and while I trust the Japanese fans to love and buy the anime, imagine the power that the international community has to influence the industry as a whole. If we show the anime enough support, then we will not only get a second season, we will get more anime like YOI with more beautiful soundtrack, more great characters and more healthy, natural gay romance. (I previously discussed this briefly in this post)
I want to use this post as an opportunity to tell you how you can support the anime, even if you canât buy the DVDs or the BluRays. Iâll try to list these in the order of least effort/money to most effort/money (but also feel free to pick and choose based on personal interest).
The absolutely simplest thing you can do is watch Yuri on Ice on the official websites like Crunchyroll or Funimation. Even if you donât have a subscription, you can rewatch the older episodes on Crunchyroll. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR ADBLOCK TURNED OFF. The revenue from ads/subscription fees partly goes to the creators.
Then: buy âHistory Makerâ (OP) and/or âYou Only Live Onceâ (ED) singles on iTunes. They cost around a dollar/euro/pound each, and they directly support the anime (and the musicians behind the songs!).
If you love the soundtrack of Yuri on Ice, then you are more than welcome to buy the OST: âOh! Suketora!!! Yuri!!! on ICE / Original Skate Song Collectionâ. You can get this on cdjapan or yesasia (both offer international shipping, yesasia even has free shipping but be warned that it may take over a month). You can also buy the physical versions of the OP and ED singles on both of these sites.
Then, if you really love certain characters you can get merchandise with them on it. There is plenty stuff for you to choose from, ranging from keychains to tote bags, mugs and even glasses cases so that you can express your love for the show and the characters on any possible item you might need. For this I recommend amiami and cdjapan. Both of these are trusted Japanese sites which supply only official merchandise which benefits the creators. Both of the sites offer international shipping, but I think that Aitai Kuji also provides proxy services if you might want them.
And then, the most obvious option buying the DVDs/BluRays. For this, I recommend cdjapan (DVD option here). When buying these, however, be forewarned: One volume contains only 2 episodes of the anime and you will need to buy all 6 volumes separately to get all 12 episodes (they are released once a month, so hey, I guess I just found a use for your disposable income for the next half a year). There are no subtitles on the DVDs/BluRays (however, I donât consider this an issue since you should be able to access Crunchyroll for free, should you feel like rewatching). The DVDs are region coded which means that they will not play in certain countries. I believe the code is 2 so you can check whether the DVD will play on your system here. The BluRays do not have region locks, however, and you can play them anywhere in the world with a BD player or a PS3/PS4.
As far as I know, there will be a US, UK and Australian release of the DVDs/BDs with the English subtitles and dub, but the original creators will not be profiting from it iirc. (Or it will contribute very little, as the distributors/US publishers profit most from these.) There is no release date yet.
If youâre a figure sort of person, and would like a figure of your favorite skaters (the pun) there are Yuuri and Victor figures planned (no release date so far).
Alright, I believe that constitutes everything. If you have any questions, feel free to message me for clarification!
I trust Kubo

iâve been thinking about this art for a long, long, long time and Iâve always assumed that it was a hint about their upcoming marriage but then I started thinkingâŠ
what if itâs someone elseâs wedding?
what if theyâre guests at someoneâs wedding?
but who else in this show would be getting married?
and finally after watching episode 10 itâs kind of clear??????
and as much as it breaks my heart to think that JJ is probably going to win gold (bc letâs be real- heâs never shown any indication that he might make any mistakes and his performances are beyond difficult) THEREÂ ARE STILL SO MANY GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS!!!!
-JJ GETS MARRIED AND MORE THAN LIKELY HE INVITES EVERYONE FROM THE GPF AND EVEN FROM THE CUPS BEFORE THAT
-THAT MEANS PARTY TIME?? ALCOHOL???? YOU CAN BET THEREâS GONNA BE A STRIPPER POLE SOMEWHERE OR CHRISTOPHE WILL HAVE ONE WAITING IN HIS CAR FOR AN ENCORE PERFORMANCE
-YUURI AND VIKTOR WILL HAVE TO TRAIN TOGETHER FOR A WHOLE NEW SEASON AS FIANCES AND GEE WOULDNâT THAT BE A SHAME IF WE HAD TO SPEND A WHOLE SECOND SEASON ON THAT
-YUURI PROBABLY CAUGHT ISABELLAâS BRIDAL BOUQUET AND THATâS WHAT HEâS HOLDING IN THE PICTURE ABOVE?????
THERE ARE NO ENDINGS TO THIS SHOW THAT COULD POSSIBLY BE ANYTHING OTHER THAN SPECTACULAR AND BEAUTIFUL AND ALL THINGS AMAZING GOD BLESS YUURI ON ICE AND EVERYONE ON THE PRODUCTION TEAM FOR BRINGING ALL THIS JOY TO THE WORLD
I know the significance of the lyrics to Stammi Vicino No Te Ne Andare (Stay Close To Me) has already been examined...
âŠBut have we considered the possibility that Victor had it written specially to fit his story?
In Episode 4, Yuri notes that Victor choreographs his own programs and has new music written for them.
The meaning of the lyrics in Stammi Vicino No Te Ne Andare clearly are of loss and longing for love (Re: @littlechubbyyuuriâs in-depth analysis of the translation of the song)
Given that Victor uses this SP for the season, itâs safe to assume he had it choreographed by June or July of that year.Â
This gets long! Continuation under the cut.

Akuroku Fans!
Anyone remember that anthology project that basically died about⊠2 years ago? Well⊠I was thinking about doing my own and bringing it back! I first would like to know if anyone is still into it! With E3 happening in January, Iâm anxiously waiting for Kingdom hearts 3 announcements and Iâm sure you all are too, so who wants to channel all that into AxelxRoxas love?
For those who donât know what it is, basically all writers and arts came together to show Akurokru some love and one person was going to put it all in one book and sent it to those who took part in it. Lets maybe bring it back? Well see how it goes with the numbers on this post. So, who wants this to come back? Â
I am a straight, white, middle-class American.
Can someone give me practical steps on how I can use my privilege to actively advocate for those who are marginalized by this election?
Me too.
And me.
Be their voice.Â
Anytime you hear a friend or family member start to launch into his rhetoric, argue on their behalf. Be the Devilâs Advocate as far as theyâre concerned.Â
And when you argue, argue with facts. Know all of your information beforehand. And donât be the one to get angry.Â
And for those who are marginalized, be their friend. Be there for them. Listen to them with an open mind. Let them know that you are trustworthy and that they are not alone.Â
This is a good response for taking care of things on the personal level, but there are a lot of other levels to helping out. White straight cis people are the majority, if you get more politically active on the whole, your numbers can help push things, and that action starts with each individual. A lot of people support people individually or sign e-petitions and call it a day, but the former only does so much and the latter usually often does nothing. Even when e-petitions are given to the party the petition is meant for, they often ignore them and throw them in the trash. Only a few e-petitions translate to action.
Here are a few things that work better.Â
Write Letters
Write letters to your congresspeople. Those actually have staff reading them and the people of congress take them a little more seriously. Not because they actually care about these issues per se, but they assume if youâve taken time to write an actual letter that you care enough about an issue that they might lose your vote if they take the wrong actions. An individual letter might not influence them to act but the more letters they get, the more they fear losing votes. These letters can influence the actions of the Congresspeople that actually care about their constituents, and for those that donât, they sometimes follow popular opinion of their constituents to keep their office.
Vote
This seems like a no-brainer but part of the issue is people only vote in presidential elections. Remember to vote during primaries to pick candidates, elections of congress-people (which happen more often than the presidency), and even in local elections that might directly affect people where you live. Even with Trump being elected, his supporters may be more complacent (and his detractors may feel more pissed) in two years when the next Congressional elections happen. Trumpâs more dangerous agendas will be significantly hampered if heâs working against a democratic majority in Congress. We have the power to possibly affect the legislative branch every two years, so people need to remember to take it by voting every time they can. Â
Become Politically Active
You can also take part in political parties to support certain candidates (sometimes you can help them get elected by volunteering). Nominating the right candidate can mean the difference between success and defeat, and between certain issues being helped or being hurt or ignored. No one can really say for sure that things wouldâve been different if Bernie Sanders had been nominated but he definitely inspired a lot more hope and galvanized more young people to action. A lot of moderates (and even some Republicans) respected him for his consistency and principles and disliked Trump, enough that some might have voted for Bernie as the scandals about Trump had come to light.Â
A lot of people didnât vote at all in this election or voted third-party because they disliked both candidates, something that might have been different with the right Democratic nominee. Personally speaking, I know at least ten people that voted third-party or didnât vote that said they wouldâve voted for Bernie. Helping good candidates by helping their campaigns can lead to a better shot at ousting Trump in four years.Â
Help The Charities That Do Work On the Ground
If youâre worried about immigration, donate to organizations that offer pro bono legal services to people trying to obtain US citizenship or keep their VISAs. This can help people the country is trying to deport. There are tons of orgs out there! You can just google for them and research a bit to see if one is good at what theyâre doing. If one near you takes volunteers of some kind and you have the skill set to help, volunteer. If you donât have much money, donating even a tiny bit here or there counts. These organizations are usually underfunded and barely keeping above water, so even something as small as 10 dollars every so often can make a difference.
If youâre worried about how Trumpâs policies will hurt the poor, or hurt people based on race, sexuality, gender orientation, etc., there are similar pro bono legal and/or charity organizations that help people with the same issues. Again, you can donate when you can, or if they have positions you can volunteer in, you can volunteer. Â
Protest Or Support Protesters
If protests are arranged against some of the policies that hurt people, attend, donât speak over the people protesting if itâs not your place, and make sure you comport yourselves with appropriate behavior (ie if the whole group is trying to be nonviolent so the press canât claim theyâre violent, be nonviolent too). Come prepared with what you need to survive being pepper sprayed or tear gassed, and have a plan for escaping to safety if you need to. If you donât think you can handle getting pepper sprayed or have health issues that could be fucked with (for instance, I have asthma so inhaling that shit could kill me) you can be one of the people that brings food, water, and supplies for the protesters (like milk, water, and dawn soap to counter and wash away the pepper spray).Â
Sometimes when these protests go down, churches and other local groups need money to provide these supplies to protesters so if you live too far away to protest or help physically, you can sometimes donate money to them that they can use to buy supplies. During many of the Black Lives Matter protests, local churches and organizations provided food, pepper spray first aid supplies, and water to protesters and took donations to help cover the costs. Â
Protests can make politicians fear they wonât be re-elected. Even if they donât scare Trump and Pence, they sometimes scare congressmen who have to go for re-election more frequently and fear losing their supporters. The fear can translate into action on their part.Â
To Sum Up
Being peopleâs friends and standing up for people is good on the personal level, but does next to nothing on the systemic level, and can only happen if the prejudice is done openly in front of you (which doesnât always happen). If you really want to help, it will take actual action, money (if you can spare it), and/or your time. Which a lot of people donât want to give, but if you really want to change things systemically instead of just on a personal basis, itâs the only way.Â
Reblogging to keep accessible. Thank you, everyone!!!
in traffic just now i watched a middle aged white man put his car in park, get out of the car at a stop light, and punt a trump/pence sign on the side of the road
me too buddy
there was a whole row of signs, it was on the bumper grass between a church parking lot and the road, and he just went down the row of trump/pence and local election signs and punted like five of them before the light started to change and he got back into his car and (presumably) drove to work
i hope that dude feels better now
i feel a little better at having seen it happen tbh

THERE IS A PETITION TO STOP THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE FROM VOTING FOR TRUMP
For those of you who donât know, the Electoral College has the final say in December. Itâs only happened once or twice, but sometimes they vote against a candidate whoâs already âwonâ. Candidates can win the popular election and still lose the electoral collegeâs election. THIS IS OUR LAST SLIVER OF A CHANCE TO KEEP BUTT TRUMPET OUT OF OFFICE!
Thereâs been multitudes of posts going around, talking about fighting back, never giving up, doing whatâs right.
ITS TIME TO WALK THE WALK:

OVER 600,000 SUPPORTERS ALREADY. ITâS DAY 2. BOOOOOOOST.
Not sure if this will actually do anything, but thereâs nothing to lose

For those of you wanting to DO something to counter all the hate to come, I found a really cool website called volunteermatch.org that if you put in your city and state you can find local volunteer oppurtunities (it also includes digital ways to help!) and filter based on what cause (I put environmental, but it has a lot of different categories and intersections) you want to support. Â It even has a few internship oppurtunities Iâve come across. Of course you can google deeper for other social causes you want to help, but hereâs at least a starting point!Â
Go out tomorrow, find a cause. NARAL, ASPCA, Planned Parenthood, A New Way Forward, The Innocence Project, Oxfam, Greenpeace⊠find out about programs and groups that deal with human trafficking, with racism, with sexism, with womenâs health, LGBTQA rights, with what you want to fucking change! Sign up, and fucking fight.
Intern at your local congressional office! Stuff envelops! Listen to citizen complaints! Help dig us out of this shitstorm!
Donate money! Donate time! Be a Big Brother or a Big Sister. Reach out and find what your community needs! Join a litter collecting squad or write cards for people at an elderly community or buy a family in need groceries.
There is. So. Much. You. Can. Still. Do.
Online activism is all well and good, but these groups need feet on the fucking pavement. Donât confuse shouting at people online as activism! So put up, and letâs shut this racist, classist, misogynistic, rape apologist down.
A commission for fire-crotch. I enjoyed it a lot :D
