Hey, so…

I need some advice from other artists.

I’m in college working for a career in media art, with most interest in digital art. I’ve learned many Adobe programs, but my laptop is struggling with the creative suite on it, and I know at the end of my degree, I might need to update to a new device, at least for my artwork. What device should I invest in? I hear good things about Wacom tablets, and use the Wacom computers at school ( I also love that it’s not eye straining like a Mac or PC screen and doesn’t need a glove to use it), but what other options are there similar to Wacom? What would be the best investment? What model is a good idea?

Note: I’m not planning on using Adobe after college. My tuition pays for the program and it’s expensive when you’re not making a large steady income from the use of it.

Okay so, it’s not discontinued, but a mix of writer’s block and stuff in my life is making it a long grueling process. I will get to it, mark my words I will get to it!!

I also kinda didn’t realize how much people were liking it, so thank you for this little motivation.

actually let's talk about this again just in case because it is currently flu season and in case we need a REMINDER!!!!!!!!!! wash your hands when you get home to prevent the spread of germs and keep you and your family safe!!!! your house is supposed to be your safe space that you can relax in, and if you're touching bus handles and walk buttons and stair rails and door handles that a thousand other people have touched and then coming home and touching every surface of your house with those same unwashed hands that have just picked up everybody's mystery germs, you're going to spread that all over your house and then you're going to get sick. if you wash your hands first thing when you get home then the germs are gone immediately and your space stays clean. this was true before the ~ongoing pandemic~ and it is even more true now. if your hands get dry then put lotion on. no excuses I want to see everybody WASHING THEIR HANDS.

I wanna have a physical book with all the fanfictions I've written but I can't decide if the more fun route would be to:

a. print it all out on 8.5x11 paper and staple it together the way we did in highschool for that truly authentic fangirl feel

b. figure out how to print it at a4/5 size double sided and then sew the pages together and make a fun cover and actually bind it and make it look as professional as possible

c. buy a pretty notebook and then hand scribe it all like an Irish monk

Apparently hyperfixations aren't okay, unless they're deemed appropriate by society. Being obsessed with anime was bad 20 years ago, but is perfectly fine now! Go figure!

Of course there are going to be hyperfixations that aren't okay, that can lead to actual harm in one way or another, but I doubt my Star Wars obsession is hurting anyone.

I believe someone on here has already expressed this but Academy would have worked so much better as an anthology series.

Each season focusing on a different group of characters, maybe even in a different setting, rather than following one main cast. The games never had specified main protagonists so why should the show?

No because this is so real; I feel like after s2 the show gets a little confused, it doesn't really seem to have a 'main' character just a cast? Episodes about the other cast don't feel like side quests or filler just another episode and that's not actually helpful😭 It's even more confusing that Hex, Skull, Bad Breath and Cynder are the only B team characters to get full episodes about them- what about the rest!!! Where did Flashwing go!!! Why is Eruptor so umser developed he's the main cast!! What!!!

I definitely believe the show was underfunded, which is in character for Netflix at the time. So it may have been difficult to put in enough characters to make that transition smooth. But what they could’ve done was stick with the formula of having Hugo, Cali, and Flynn being the main characters.

Also, why did they give Hex the Teen Titans Go! treatment like Raven? The girl went through some real shit, and would’ve been peak for a PTSD episode. And did they forget why Roller Brawl became a Skylander in the first place? Like this show could’ve at least gone in depth with the backstories of these characters but didn’t.

I finally completed the Mask of Power collection! A lot of these were second-hand, and I’m glad to give them a new home.

Stealth Elf came so close to being brutally killed on that airship and I think we moved on way too quickly from that

One theory I’ve had is that she faked how weak she’d become. Like, what if she’d realized that she couldn’t use her teleporting trick to break free and decided to pull a Hail Mary.

The only reason I hold onto that theory is because Elf had been watching this situation unfold the entire season. She never truly lowered her guard, and had only held back from acting on those suspicions because the true Spyro came for the clutch at the last second. So right then, trapped in that absorption bubble, where no one else could hear her, the true Spyro was her only hope, and there was one thing that dragged him out.

I keep getting these scam texts saying I have unpaid traffic tickets, which is both irritating and hilarious. Irritating because they keep coming, hilarious because I don’t have a vehicle to my name and I’ve never been pulled over so who are they trying to fool.

These scammers are so desperate that they’re being stupid.

I spent two days working on this project, and am never recreating it because the assembly process was hell. On the plus side I make jewelry so when this inevitably breaks, I can still use the stuff.
