As it turns out, Buck was horrible at the whole avoiding game, and it didn’t take long for Isaiah to catch on. “What? Yea, yea everything’s good, just been busy.” It wasn’t a lie, but it wasn’t exactly the truth either.

Usually when a wedding goes up in literal flames because a relative didn't even think to ask the planner if they could do their flaming breath circus routine in the venue surrounded by highly flammable fabric you were fucked to hell and back as a planner but Landon's clients seemed to think they hit the jackpot for multiple reasons and now he was leaving with a date with a gorgeous firefighter...how does this happen?

"I'll see you there, yeah." He nodded, unable to stop from chuckling at the enthusiasm. "I'll be the one looking like me."

It wasn’t exactly common for Buck to end up with a date after a call, but you save someone from burning up in flames and the uniform sort of becomes a turn on, either way, Buck was very excited to being getting out into the dating scene.

He had been teased mercilessly on the way back to the firehouse and the rest of the day, but no one could ruin Buck’s good mood.

As it turns out, Buck could clean up very nicely, having borrowed a suit from Bobby, his hair done. He didn’t usually pick over the top places, but he was owed a favor by the owner. So, he sat at a table near the back of the room, waiting for Landon to make his way over. Hopefully he wouldn’t get stood up.
